Glad to see I'm not the first person to post from xkcd here.

The main message I'm reading here, (other than you look great!) is that you should do strength training. You've done the cardio to get the fat down, now build up the muscle. Keep doing cardio to maintain, but if you focus more on the strengthening your core (and the rest of you) your body will start taking on the shape I…

When I first started hydrating myself I felt like I was getting paid to pee. I still go a lot more, but it's slowly starting to be longer in between trips. Keep it up! EDIT: But if you think it's a problem, I'd talk to your doctor. I work with charts about urinary incontinence and it can start pretty young, so it would…

No matter how evil the villain is, they are always sympathetic. I.E. Sephiroth (FFVII), Nakago (Fushigi Yugi)...there are more but I'm lazy.

People that post good advice with such insulting/condescending phrasing that it's hard to accept the advice they're giving.

I agree. She mentioned that she walked her dog to figure out a plot point in her book, if her book is anything like the article, the voices are probably very hard to follow. She may not be 23 anymore, but she seems to still hold onto the maturity level of someone not quite ready to be an adult. She feels invincible and…

Good question.

Thanks guys. I think I asked the wrong question at the beginning. But you're starting to answer what I looked for. I've re-evaluated my weight loss goals and extended the "dead line" for my goal weight. I am going to aim to stop eating so much processed foods and work on making my own lunches with stuff from my mom's…

It waivers a lot from having lost 3-6 lbs. I log my weight when it goes down, since weight fluctuates up and down a lot. I can't tell if it went back up to where I've only lost 3 (from the beginning of June) or if it's water. Hoping for water because of my sodium intake but it's hard to be sure. Also, I just looked at my…

Thank you for the helpful posts. Sodium has been very difficult for me since I cut out a lot of sugar from my diet (went off of it for a month with my family an never fully went back to it). My water intake has skyrocketed ever since joining MFP, went from very little (to none some days) to a minimum of 2 liters (about 67…

I'm not a huge fan of sweet salads (ones with nuts and fruits) but I do love salad in general. I'll have to take a look at it. Thanks for the idea!

As long as I get my 2 liters of water in I won't kill myself over drinking a diet or a regular soda, but I usually prefer to stay away from them. Water first, tho.

Wow. There are Doctors practicing in the OB/GYN, pelvic pain, and oncology fields and there are women here saying they're not qualified because of body parts? Tonto, you have it right. And for the women that don't like it, this is in the "chit-chat, fun, and games" section, if you're not having fun, you don't need to post.…

You know the references in Bowling for Soup's "1985" ...then realize that song came out in 2004.

I enjoy treats in the office. What gets me by is moderation. Small servings don't much affect my calorie intake, and I still get to have a treat. If I were really troubled by it, I'd exercise a bit more to run off the calories. Or just not eat it. Problem solved. Everyone that's said this is true, you are responsible for…
