I haven't checked since June. But, even at 268 back then I could plank for 45 seconds. Blew my trainer away. I should see how I do now that I'm over 30 pounds lighter and have been working out. (Pushups are a different story!)

My daughter is in 5th and this is the second year they do not send homework home. They have work time in class. It is only make up homework, or if they want to do an extra practice run on spelling words. New words are done on Monday, then they practice all week at school and test on Friday. I have not seen a decline in my…

LOL...if we could all be Superwoman.

I agree with don't stick to breakfast foods...have a sandwich, make it the night before. Yummy turkey sandwich, or pb & j, or tuna salad, or egg salad. You said you don't like sweet...you can try plain oatmeal (I prefer Better Oats Steel Cut classic (plain)) and put whatever you want in it. Very low sugar. My preference is…

That's hilarious. And, great NSV!

My sarcasm would have kicked into high gear...it wouldn't have ended well...for him. Regardless of what others think MFP and counting calories is one of the best things that has ever happened to me and I would gladly shout it out from the rooftops regardless of the backlash I might get. Just keep doing what you are doing!!!

I'm on a tight budget and that is a lot like my list. I find sliced deli turkey is reasonable. Though it can be up to $6 for 1 pound, I get 1/2 pound and only put 2 ounces in my sandwich, so it makes it affordable. So, always weigh the options based on servings too. I found that eating within my calories (instead of over…

Yep...all spoons go to my daughter. I'm not a raw batter person unless it's just melted chocolate.

Yeah, you look crazy...crazy good! Great job!

My rec center it is based on school year not age. So, as soon as my daughter gets out of 5th grade next year (at 10 years old) she can start going in the cardio and weight rooms. However, it clearly states until like 8th or 9th grade they have to be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times. This would be the issue…

Yoga for beginners, walking, walking in place, dancing (around the house...as I do to Mamma Mia!). When you are home and no one is watching you can dance like a maniac. Or dance on the furniture (that's something my daughter and I do together...lol). I want to start tennis next spring because my daughter likes it, and I'm…

My 2 favorites: Better Oats Steel Cut Instant Classic (plain) with 1 tablespoon crunchy peanut butter and 1 tablespoon Nutella. It's really like warm no bake cookies for breakfast. 330 calories, 35 carbs and 10 protein. 2 eggs over easy (with Pam or nonstick pan) on dry toast (Sara Lee whole wheat usually). 290 calories,…

I tried cold turkey, didn't work. I'm addicted to Dt. Mt. Dew. Since it is calorie free and I'm about calories in and calories out it doesn't bother me as much as it used to. But, I'm trying to taper. Found if I don't keep it in the house I crave it and will run to the quick trip and get one. I realized I was spending more…

Protein bars...but do watch out for high sugar in those too. My other on the go snack is the prepackaged Emerald Almonds 100 calorie pack. I like the cocoa dusted ones. My 'bad' go to snack is finding one serving size bags of potato chips, or bag up my own in sandwich baggies. One serving of Doritos (11 chips) is 140. I…

Congrats! I'm sure it is an awesome feeling and a lot of emotions to process. Well done! I plan on crying lol! (Hopefully will be there by the end of March.) It's probably been almost 30 years since I had a one in front of my weight.

This! And sometimes I even stir in a tablespoon of light whipped topping to make it more of a mousse or jello dessert. Great for a chocolate fix for me. And, yes, the fat free is gross!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cool. That is awesome sauce lol!

Mine was created by a dating site random user name generator 5 years ago (So 40 was my age then that I added to the end of it.) So, I just kept using it on everything that needed a user name. I don't even really like strawberry jam or eat it very often.

Feel better, healthier, and have energy for about everything you listed. My other motivation is to be here (and present) for my daughter. I don't do enough physical activities outdoors with her right now. The 5K thing. Doing one in November, but have 5 planned for next year. So excited and can't wait until I can run one…

LOL Reminds me of Golden Girls. They are at the kitchen table eating. Dorothy is glad her date is tomorrow so the fat won't show since it takes a few days. Rose asks where it goes in the meantime and Dorothy replies to Connecticut, how do I know where it goes?

There isn't anything to say to get anyone to get it...for that click, light bulb, club over the head. I'm 45 and it has never clicked until this summer. It just took me 2 weeks of logging honestly and not giving up. When I saw the scale moving, and what effortlessness it took to log it was a total WOW moment. Now I know…

I don't understand why someone flagged this. I was sure thinking it. Reality in the form of sarcasm rocks.

I don't find it a negative and can't wait to be noticed. I think it's like picking the book because of the cover to find it to be a great read. Or picking the candy by the pretty wrapper and finding it sweet. It's not that some won't just pick the brown paper bag or plain cover, but it opens up more opportunities for…

I have never been able to keep the weight (any weight) off that I have lost. To the point I had resolved (for 10 years) I would just be fat the rest of my life. I'm now down 29 pounds and it is all because I log my food. I don't know if I'll always log my food when I hit maintenance but I know I will never get there…

You can't fix stupid and you shouldn't try. Let it go. You could be rock solid and they would come up with something on why you are wrong and they are right. That what worked for you would in no way work for them like you are some exception to the rule. I was probably one of them at one time believing the myths and hype…

You are my inspiration! My SW was 268 and I'm 5' 7" and started in 22/24s. This makes me so refreshed to know how far I can go if I just keep at it. You look so amazing! Have fun on your 5K. I'm doing one in November but know I'll walk most of it. But, next year I plan on doing 5 starting in June and just improve each time.

I sent out some friends requests. Anyone can feel free to add me. I'm 45 and 5' 7". I'm a single mom of a 10 year old and I work from home. My first major goal is to hit Onederland....currently I have 42 pounds to go to get there. I would like to get there by mid/end March which would be an average of 2 pounds a week. But,…

Copied and saved. I want to try this. I haven't had curry anything for years.

This is what I answered the previous post about a month ago on snacks. My favorites 1. Laughing Cow cheese wedge (Garlic & Herb is my fav) with some Triscuits (and sometimes black olives with it) 2. Cottage cheese with fruit 3. Tbsp of peanut butter with one serving of semi-sweet chocolate chips 4. 100 calorie pack of…

I totally get that. I'm 45 and just started. Sooner would have been better, but now is better than never! Just think if you hadn't started at all! The before and after photos are incredible! Again, great job.
