I started about 3 weeks ago and I’m doing the 18:6. I have even stopped having 5 to 6 diet sodas a day. Just all that water and fasting. Now I may have 2-3 a week. In two weeks I’ve lost 5.6 pounds. Don’t give up. I get hungry about 30-40 minutes before break. After I eat I’m full and finding it hard to even get my…

The thread seems old so don’t know if this will get it going again. I’m trying IF. I’ll send you a friends request.

I’m on week 3 of 18:6. But if I understand it may be awhile before my body ‘heals’ and the weight loss starts. So currently I am counting calories during my 6. I try to be done eating around 7-8 pm. I break my fast after 18 hours with whatever lol. Yogurt, sandwich, cereal, chocolate, eggs and toast dry toast, mixed nuts.…

Sent you a friend request. I am trying IF too. Not going as fast as you. But they say body heals first then weight loss comes so I’m holding fast into week three.
-
If I need something fast to prevent me from over eating I wrap some deli meat around some string cheese and maybe a few almonds.

I’m trying the 18:6. Gets easier with time. I’m also counting my calories during my 6 hours to not over do it.

I’m not sure how many years ago when I was on here. I lost 50. I’ve gained 45 back. So here I go again.

I just ordered one. Hope I don’t have any issues. I’m so excited.

Kinda long... Welcome. I agree it’s finding what works for you. For me it has always been calories in calories out. “Fad” diets have never worked. I don’t give up anything. I just make it fit in my daily allowance. With that being said I do start to make better choices most days to not be hungry, fuel my body, and feel…

I'm inclined to stay warm! I'll stick to the rec center this week. Though it was 35 and calm at 5:00 am, by 6:00 am it was 22 and WINDY! (and down hill from here)

4 degrees and snowing again...no outdoor exercising for me.

Just turned 50 this week. Was on here in 2014 and lost 50 pounds. Gained a little over 20 back. Not too bad for 4 years. Looking to lose 30 and go from there. Just started high blood pressure and cholesterol meds and would like to get off them or reduce dosage. And get summer ready to go on lots of Harley rides! Looking…

Looking for friends that are age 50+ and active on MFP. Looking for groups for age 50 and up too. I joined the group called 50+, Fabulous and Fit. You put your monthly goals and then check in on how you are doing. But, the discussion boards are not as active as I wish they were. I'd love for others to come join the group.…

Hi smileyface83, Come join the 50+, Fabulous and Fit group! The more the merrier for me! I was here a few years ago and lost 50. I've gained over 20 back so here I am. Working toward a lofty 1st long term goal of 30 in 4 months....broken out in to little goals. The 50+, Fab and Fit group helps me commit to a few goals each…

It's actually motivating for me to get on the scale every morning. It helps me see my progress even if the morning shows more than the prior morning it's still a smaller number than last week! (I expect a little fluctuation but still overall going the right direction.) It reminds me to start the day right. But I only log…

Your doctor should be able to give you a list of suggestions for exercises that would work with your health issues. Swimming....doesn't mean you have to swim. There are a lot of water exercises that you can do in the water that aren't swimming. And I am just now starting to use bands in a mobility class I joined. I can't…

Totally agree and that is what I do. 1/2 calories burned I can put/eat back. If it is a small amount I still try to stay in my original calorie range. But, it's great when I have a craving outside my daily calorie goal, I can go walk off the calories before I eat it. And a walk makes me rethink the need for some foods.

You can add me. Southeast of Des Moines.

Down 40 and would not have made it here without MFP...both logging everything and all the wonderful friends I have made.

You can go edit those...delete, and get it adjusted.

Finished W2D3 today. It went well. But, Friday starts week 3. I'm just determined to do it...and try until I get it. :p
-
I didn't today, but I should have. I want to just get in the habit of continuing on after to always hit my 5K mark each time. Therefore, seeing the time gap close as I spend more time jogging and less time walking. Then I won't be worried about speed yet.

Good luck. How awesome and congrats...week 8.

We can be fined up to $100 for taking our pets into the cemetery. So, yeah a pretty quite place to go around here.

You look awesome! Great job!

I weigh every day several times...because I'm just that darn excited that the scale is almost 40 pounds lighter than when I started. But, I only log Monday (mainly..if life doesn't get in the way) evenings on the same scale at the gym where I first weighed when starting this journey. Yeah....late afternoon...lol.
