Good for you!! You'll reach your goals before you know it!

I've been buying Costco's Kirkland whole grain bread. It is a whopping 140 calories per slice, but it is dense and filling. My Fooducate app gives it a grade of B+.

Thanks for the suggestions so far! Any more?

ditto. They have one concern, and one concern only: $$$$

The only thing that's helped me get past plateaus is to EAT MORE. Increase calories and you'll see movement within a week. :) eta: Downward movement that is, not meaning you'll gain. Just in case that wasn't obvious. LOL!

Looking good! The progress is very obvious and impressive. Way to go!

Fantastic!! You go girl!

Fab fab fabulous!!! You look amazing. Great work!

You probably put on some pounds once you began working out again because your muscles were retaining water from being thrown back into exercise. You could not have gained 8 pounds of fat unless you had an abundance of calories over your maintenance.

I was a huge Diet Coke drinker and have cut waaaaay back. I'll have one when I go to the movies - so like twice a month, if that. I don't know that it helped my weightloss directly or not, but drinking less DC definitely got me to drink more water, and I'm sure THAT has helped my loss. :) Now when I drink one I feel…

You look fantastic! Truly, you do. You are toned and look fit - not flabby! Most people will never be satisfied with the way their body looks. That's just human nature. But you do need to feel proud of yourself! You've come so far!!!!

Good for you! I'll be hitting 200 days tomorrow or the next day! It's silly how excited I am about that.

I was running into the same problem - burning so much that I had a hard time eating enough to keep up without resorting to calorie-laden unhealthy foods to do it. I had to change the way I worked out. Instead of doing an hour on the elliptical I do only 30 minutes and do a lot more resistence training - still reap tons of…

BodyMedia Fit and BodyBuggs do not measure heartrate at all. They cost around $150-200 depending on the model and deal you get on it (ebay and costco are cheap) and the monthly subscription is like $6 if you sign up for a year. If you buy through costco you get a full year for free. No where near $500.

They are both good tools for different things.... I have BodyMedia Fit - it's great for tracking my burn throughout regular daily activities. But it is not a great device for tracking calorie burn during actual workouts - it underestimates activities like elliptical and bike riding (even when worn on the calf). For…

Just took a look at your diary -- you are not eating enough. Do not ever eat less than 1200 a day. And you are not getting anywhere near the protein your body needs. Aim for 100-130g a day. How tall are you?
-
How many calories are you eating a day? Are you eating back your exercise calories? Are you drinking enough water? Getting enough sleep?

If you can't make your lifestyle fit your exercise choice, then you need to choose your exercise to fit your lifestyle. If C25K isn't going to work for you, then you need to find something that WILL work for you. I'd LOVE to be able to get out and walk/run more - but with four kids (only two in school) that just doesn't…

I lost about that much my first couple months, but after the first chunk of weight came off my loss slowed. Now if I try to keep a 1000 deficit a day I plateau immediately. I can easily lose 1-1.2 pounds a week, but when I try for more than that it backfires on me. I wear a BodyMedia Fit 24/7 and also a Polar HRM for…

I'm new to kettlebells, but have been burning 230 doing level one of Jillian's Shred It with Weights, using a 10 pound bell.

Great analogy!

After just a couple weeks I was hooked on this new lifestyle - seeing the progress on the scale was such a huge motivation, and as I continued to fit into smaller and smaller sizes it really kept me going. I've been at this since January and it's just second nature now. I can't even imagine going back to my old eating…

You are looking wonderful! Such a big difference, especially in your face and arms!! Keep up the hard work!

I don't often look at people's diary's, but I did just take a look at yours... and Wow... sweetie, that's a lot of junk. And you NEED to be eating breakfast every single day. It's what gets your metabolism going in the morning. It literally means "BREAK the FAST" - breakfast! Eat it. Every day. I see you eating only two…

I've expeienced just the same thing the last couple weeks. My usual exercise is from the gym - 30 min on ARC trainer, 15-20min rowing, then cooling down with a walk/jog on the track. Sometimes I cycle through the weight machines. Then last week I started doing Jillian's Shred It with Weights - the kettlebell workout. My…

I'm not sure how quickly you can lose muscle mass, though I have tried googling for that info before. To make sure my weight loss is fat loss and not lost muscle I bought this body fat monitor to measure my body fat %. I check it every few pounds I lose to make sure the % is going down (indicating lost fat, if I lost…

I have a Taylor. It doesn't do anything fancy, but it looks decent and is very accurate. I bought it at Costco for $40ish. I had purchased less expensive scales for years that would only last 6mo-1yr and was sick of that... I figured with Costco's excellent return policy I was covered if this one crapped out on me too. But…

I have a BodyMedia Fit that I wear all the time, and then for workouts I also put on a Polar HRM. Regular HRMs are not accurate for all-the-time wearing.

Work cardio sessions on a rowing machine into your routine.
