  • Look up Chris Freytag 10 lb Slmidown Extreme series, more cardio based programs with upper body , lower body, ab, kickboxing and one yoga disc.. Also I like Jackie Warner quite a bit. Her style is great, more strength based cardio workouts. Otherwise I have all the Jillian's and Bob's and Chalean Extreme and TurboJam
  • Thanks for posting about YTWL's Joanne I needed to hear that. I was feeling so wimpy all of a sudden. Great explanation

  • Awesome to know!! I do need to go to TDEE eventually I think. Been at 15pct cut since beginning of May and maintaining not losing anything. Thanks for sharing
  • I just did Bod Pod last week also and was surprised by the results. I have always measured about 21-22% body fat with traditional gym measures. The Bod Pod has me at 25% in the moderately lean category. Like you, I was shocked my RMR was 1262 and I had been using 1460 as my BMR to eat back to after a heavy burn day. Was…
  • Yes, thanks ladies. 1262 was my calculated RMR by Bod Pod and I will make sure to always net that. I was trying to always net closer to 1450. Less eating- boo ;)
  • You can try Picasa 3, it is a free download. I just made several collages on there. For reasons other than weight loss and it worked great. Super easy.
  • So needed this post. I also ate like crap for a few days and am feeling defeated. Was thinking maybe raising my cals wasnt the thing for me. But reading this helps so much. I know what is right, i just lose focus and need to be reassured by people like you. Keep up the fight !
  • I am on my third week and really feeling like it is hitting some muscles I am not used to working! Excited to see where it leads me. Reducing my cardio has taken some adjusting, I am so used to long workouts with lots of cardio.
  • Isnt it weird to do a 30-40 minute workout after all we are probably used to? It takes will power for me to not start lifting other weights or go into a heavy cardio session after finishing. Need to re-train the brain . Before I would workout 30 mins before work, sometimes on my lunch hour and at the gym at night. I was…
  • Agreed! Just did workout B for the 2nd time last night and I am one who always says "I wish I was sore --so I knew it was working". I take it back :) I upped my deadlift to 80 lbs, 20 lbs on overhead presses and 70 on lat pull downs and I feel it today for sure. I am used to lifting pretty heavy from some personal training…
  • Thanks for the feedback. I am going to start to use the Smith and not worry so much about doing everything exactly as the book says. After all, in life, it's all about modifications to meet your needs anyway. Everyone is different. We are lifting heavy and stretching ourselves way outside of our comfort zones and that is a…
  • I am in the same boat. I did 45 lbs without a rack last night but unsure how to go up in weight for future lifts. I could use a Smith machine but everyone seems so against that
  • Starting tonight too, good luck! Little nervous about what weights I should start with initially on the squats and rows especially.
  • Just got the book by UPS today. Plan to read it and start Monday- yay. Feel free to add me so we can motivate, complain and share. Looks confusing as far as series of workouts to do each time but haven't dived in deep yet. Excited to let go of some of my cardio and get focused.
