@amusedmonkey Have you had your stomach checked? When I reported lasting hunger after eating to my doc, they did a look-see and found gastritis and duadinal ulcer...
-
OR, you have a duodenal ulcer and the pain seems like hunger... Yep, happened to me when I first started. The conversation went like this. ME: But Doc, I'm having trouble loosing weight because I'm hungry ALL THE TIME! DOC: What does hunger feel like? ME: pain in my stomach DOC: Are you hungry right after eating a meal?…

... and I bet every other time she was eating closer to 1300 calories and it was too hard to do. Let her lose at a slower, more maintainable pace. It will be easier for her to 'stick' with it. It's working for now - don't make this harder than it needs to be!

I weigh every day but only log my losses - hee hee

yep - I have over 100 lbs to lose as well, but I chunk into short term goals :-) My current goal is BMI of 37 by end of year. Feel free to add me as a friend - I'll accept all requests. It's time I started participating more and looking for support 'groups'. Me: 5'10 SW 300 6/29/13 (on dr scale, mine was 298, but who's…

My daughter noticed at 15 pounds and complained that her 'Mom pillow' was getting smaller. My co-worker said something today at 20 lbs, but he knows I'm working hard at losing. I'm thinking the 30-40 lb range is when people will really start noticing. I'm 5'10, SW 300. GW 185 (but 165 would be ok too, lol) Friend me if you…

Same. I did some research on great tat artists in the genre I love, found one I liked the artwork of, got a recommendation, and I drove 2 hours out of town.

Heyla, I got my tattoo just because I like the design. Actually, I went to an awesome tattoo artist and said, "I love celtic designs. I want a trinity knot, and maybe some zoomorphic elements as well. I want my tattoo, 'here', and can be as big as x." He took out some paper, mapped the size, and I went away. A few weeks…

You look awesome! I love that your inspiration was the candid 'back' pic. My 'back' pic is my inspiration as well. There is just something about knowing how you look from behind to motivate. I can see the front all the time but it just doesn't have the 'ewww' factor that rear view pics have - lmao! ... and no, I'm not…

http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2013/07/13/there-are-dangers-in-drinking-diet-soda.html ..."And that’s not all—the study also found that the artificial sweeteners in diet soda can interfere with your body’s normal response to sugar, deregulating normal blood sugar levels even more than regular soda. That’s because…

I'm not sure if you are factoring your exercise, but if we start from BMR and work up then: BMR ~1463 (http://iifym.com/tdee-calculator/) calories to maintain weight (doing nothing but laying in bed) Harris-Benedict little or no exercise = 1943 calories to maintain weight (because you are alive and moving around) add…

I think that blood type influencing whether or not you should eat breakfast just sounds like quackery and over generalization. Not liking breakfast probably has more to do with your specific body (stomach acids, metabolism, etc.) than your blood type. I am also O+. I have no problem eating breakfast and loosing weight.
-
erm... So when I was anemic and I went to my 'western' Dr. she said - eat more red meat and green leafy foods. Didn't need to look at my blood type or open a book about diets for blood types to know what good sources of iron where for me to eat in order to help restore red blood cells. This is common knowledge for anyone,…

"edit: forgot the quote" ^^^ Go a step farther and thank her for the challenge. Tell her, that thanks to her, now you know you can avoid it, how strong she has made you. Thank her for being a true sister. ... but only if you can make it sound convincing and not sarcastic. If she is trying to sabotage you and you manage to…
