I totally agree! I love the Michelina's lean gourmet meals!

It helps me to keep a water bottle full next to me. If I get sleepy then I drink out of it and it tends to wake me up. It should also get rid of those cravings if you're not really hungry. Also, if that doesn't work, keep some fresh veggies on hand. They'll give you the energy you need, but have very limited calories (and…

It's so good! You could also use light mayo or fat free ranch in the tuna and it is amazing!

I like to weigh every time a go to the gym (3-4 times/week). I know that my weight is going to fluctuate, but I like to see what makes it fluctuate; whether it's the time of day or if I eaten within a certain amount of time. Even though I weigh at the gym multiple times in a week, I only count what I weigh every 2 weeks. I…

I completely agree with you about educating the community. It's sad that ignorance has changed into obesity, in some cases, when ignorance is so much easier to fix than obesity!

You're not alone... I have been overweight for all of my life! I started out at 276 lbs and a size 22-24 My goal weight is around 140, so I'm chugging along on the over 100 train with you! I know you can do it!

No! You're not wrong! I get so mad when I see things like that! It's like those talk shows that bring on these 300 lb 5 year olds! :explode: ( I realize this may not be the case with this little girl, but I need to vent!) All their mothers feed them is junk and then justify it by saying that it's all the kids will eat!…

A couple of weeks ago someone posted a web address where you can go to look up the nutrition info for different restaurants. Does anyone remember what that website was?

Last Week was horrible for me! I didn't exercise at all and then I went on vacation this past weekend and didn't track anything I ate! I've resolved to start fresh today, but I need some extra encouragement, because my stomach is calling to me to feed it like I've been feeding it! :frown:

I have two pairs of pants hanging on my bedroom door, one pair that I can almost fit in and one pair that I am gradually making my way towards! I use this as part of my motivation and it really has helped. I try each pair of pants on every couple of weeks and I can see a change and it keeps me going. My friend did this and…

1 ham & egg lean pocket 1 (8 oz) glass cranberry/raspberry juice (280 cals) (5 g. fat) It doesn't sound like a lot to eat, but I'm pretty full and it was fast!

I'm happy to say that I've lost another 2 lbs. and between 1/4 to 1/2 inch on pretty much everything (I know, not a lot, but I think it's progress) and I know it's because of strength from a power outside of myself and the wonderful motivation of everyone on this site! So, Thank you all! You're the best!

For me, I've found that I'll commit to myself to weigh on Monday, and I always want to see results, so that will push me to do well on my weekends, because I'm going to be weighing in on Monday. I don't know if you're doing this get healthy thing alone, but if you could find a friend to do it with that you commit to and…

I agree with Sarah. Pretty much any kind of stretching is going to help get rid of shin splints. I also know that you can kneel, then sit on your feet until you feel the stretch in the front of your leg. You can do this before you do any kind of running or walking and also now (it should lessen the pain you are feeling…

Welcome! I hope you are as satisfied with this site as I am!

I take a prenatal vitamin, however, I do know that it doesn't have everything that is needed. You may have to take an extra calcium supplement with it.

It is thanks!

I applaud you! My nephew was diagnosed with leukemia when he was 3 years old. He went through chemo for 3 1/2 years then was in remission for a year. He was re-diagnosed in October 2006, but then he received a bone marrow transplant from his six year old little brother! I'm happy to say he is an active 10 year old who has…

Thanks! That's exactly what I was thinking, but I kept reading that people were saying to eat down to "0", but i thought that would defeat the purpose of working out... I would rather be lazy if i'm still going to lose at the same rate! LOL:wink:
-
Are you kidding! I experience that regularly! Unfortunately, I don't have an answer. I attribute my mindless eating to my need for a little rebellion in life and my need to let loose of some aspects and lose control for a second, but then I always regret those seconds! I wish I could help more :ohwell:
-
Wow! Congratulations! Your story makes me really start to believe it can happen for me. Thanks!

This may sound like a really stupid question, but are we supposed to eat all of our calories including the ones that they give us for working out? Will we not lose if we're not eating our calories down to "0"?

I had one of those days yesterday, so I'm completely with you! But, knowing that I still had the strength in me to get back on the wagon today really empowered me! I hope you can feel the same. Good Luck!

I don't know of anything that will completely get rid of them, but I've heard Cocoa Butter lotion can reduce the appearance. You can get a huge bottle of Cocoa Butter at Wal-Mart for like $1.88.
