I think I don't get all of the fat off of the meat that I use and it makes it go rancid :/

Thanks for the replies. I don't worry too much, but sometimes when I eat lots of eggs, lots of protein powder, and maybe a protein powder brownie, my cholesterol is through the roof. I'll get everything checked out just to make sure, but never was worried about it in the past.

How? It has no calories, it isn't magically turning into sugar when you drink it, how can it possibly make it easier to not drink it? 56 pounds gone, I still drink it. I also drink lots of water, but I still drink plenty of artificial sweeteners.

I was 6'4 337 pounds when I started. I did all 9 weeks without missing a single day, stopping once or cheating. I am now 281 pounds and will be doing my first "event" (Dirty Dash) in September. Hopefully the first of many. One thing I'd say (that others might have)... don't worry about being fast. Start out as slow as you…

I drink diet soda and other drinks with artificial sweeteners and I have not had any issues losing the 50+ pounds. So no, doesn't have any control over weight loss. Unless you are someone who has no willpower because that diet soda makes you want candy... then you might have issues.

Thanks for the ideas. Yeah, I love me some jerky but it is just too expensive. And when I make it myself, it usually goes bad before I eat it all.

And the image I posted was for those saying "1 pound of fat is the same as 1 pound of muscle" as well, not a shot at you. I apologize.

I use a Bodymedia device. Sometimes I burn 400 calories during an hour long workout, sometimes I burn 700 calories during an hour long workout. I am 6'4" and (currently) 281 pounds. I started at 337 pounds and I eat until I am at a 1000-1500 calorie deficit each day. I have lost weight every week except one (which I stayed…

"Eating More" is generally speaking to the people who plug in numbers and think that they need to eat 1200 calories per day to lose weight. Sure, you'll lose weight but you'll be miserable until you give up and binge. It refers to finding your BMR and TDEE and eating what you need to eat to lose. When I started, I was…

Aspartame has been around since 1974 and the world's population doesn't seem to be decreasing. Since they didn't track cancer rates prior to 1973 it is pretty much impossible to say if it has had an effect other than saying that giving a gallon to a rat causes it to get cancer. That said, I went from drinking tons of it…

And wouldn't taste nearly as good. I'm eating at KFC tonight. I eat out with my wife at least once per week. I've lost 46 pounds, she's lost over 20. I think I'll stick with my plan over veggies ;)

I eat around 3,000 calories per day, sometimes more on extra tough workout days and less on rest days. I go out every Saturday with my wife and we have a greasy hamburger and onion rings, or maybe some pizza, lasagna or other fast (or "unhealthy" food). Sometimes during the week I am unable to pack a lunch so I go to the…

Hmm, I guess I'll stick with it for now. Using my Bodymedia, I normally end up burning over 4000 calories per day (my total TDEE with exercise and all) and I try to stick to 2500-3000 intake just to get to the 1000-1500 deficit (since I am so overweight I am not worried about going under by 1500 at this point). Here's…
