  • I actually did it in my slow cooker in the end. Used chicken stock, garlic and ginger, and had a bath! :D Was nice but more of a risotto type texture. May have to experiment some more!! Or buy a rice cooker! :D
  • Generally I do, or don't have sugar in it, but some days require more comfort tea than others!! Just pondering as currently stricken by evil man flu and the time of month so today I could potentially have a lot of tea based calories!! :D xx
  • Feels sad. Awesome sammages. Don't think we get awesome sammages in the UK. Not in my bit of it anyhoo. Unless make myself...
  • The really sad thing is although I was comfort eating, I wasn't actually comforted! Well, maybe a tiny bit by the crisps as they were chilli flavour and helped with my sinuses a teeny bit! Am going for a boiling hot bath with loads of steam and maybe some chicken soup if I'm hungry. And will prep some good, healthy,…
  • I shall be better prepared tomorrow, just in case! Only went to the shop to buy cat food and some bits to make chicken soup. Didn't really want the other stuff but got them anyway! Not feeling hungry but feel like I should eat. Then just mindlessly nommed through loads. Not getting good rest due to shivers and night sweats…
  • Or hang myself...if I was an animal I'd be euthanized...
  • Most people think I'm girly and sqeaky and a bimbo. I am girly and squeaky. I may have big boobs but also have brains. Most are surprised I'm actually a science geek :D
  • Thanks :D I managed to leave my lunch alone and its nearly lunch time. And bizzarely I don't really feel hungry now!! Would love to know what that was all about tho!! Usually drinking a pint of water sorts me out as most of the time I'm thirsty and my brain is giving me the wrong message! Very odd indeed. Must get me some…
  • I'm 5"5 and a half, I'm aiming for 10 stone then I'll have a look. I do seem to be heavy, always have been even when i was a skinny teen. No one would believe i weighed as much as i did! I once was a UK size 6 due to a near nervous breakdown and i looked like i was about to die. Skinny isn't for me. Plus I'm fond of the…
  • If he were on here I'd add him but he's naturally skinny. And at the weekend I found out he weighs less than me. He's 6ft, I'm 5'5 and a half. He says he's a finely tuned athlete, I said I'm a fat dwarf. Part of the reason I want to lose. Don't wanna be a fat dwarf.
  • This ^ I started last Monday, did Monday and forced myself to do Tuesday and could barely move the rest of the week. My abs STILL hurt yesterday!! And today as did it again last night...
  • Thank you :D A friend on slimming world suggest it :D not sure I'm gonna go for 20%, I'm aiming to shift another stone n see how I feel. Well done you on your brilliant loss! xx
  • I forgot about the whole wiener thing!! Am English, apologies for deceiving you guys ;-)
  • MEN! *rolls eyes* :D
  • Thanks everyone! :D Know its no where near some of the amazing losses by others. But its mine :D Was so excited, forgot to check it in!! Lol xx
  • I'm soooo glad I'm not the only one!! I literally drip sweat when working out! But I get serious night sweats too, its a side effect of my medication. I had to buy a rubber sheet its that bad!! No shame in sweating, gets toxins out!! A friend had an op on his arm pits cuz he would sweat thru shirts just on a normal work…
  • What kinda book you writing, to go totally off topic? :D My Mum has written a few, one is available on amazon the next should be out soon! Hers is fantasy...werewolves, witches, vampires type thing. I have more good days than bad. Does very much help that I have good friends and family and a marvellous man. And I have…
  • Although I am on pills for depression, I am usually positive. People dont believe me when I tell them. I've been on and off pills since I was 19, when i almost had a nervous breakdown and hated it. But my dad said "some people are just more sensitive than others" when I was raging about why other people could cope and I…
  • Dude!! The guy quit smoking for you...that is an incredible thing to do! Let him concentrate on not falling off that wagon!! When people give up smoking, they often put on weight...it'll even out eventually. Also, I've been with my man for 2 years and can't keep off him...doesn't bode well that 6 months in and you want…
  • You can see her roots! And really, you think she rides in that outfit?! Only if she's only going 2 miles an hour. If you're hanging on for dear life at 140mph on the back of a ZX10 you want serious leathers!!
  • When I haven't been in relationships I've been celibate. I don't really do one nighters. Currently eagerly awaiting the return of my man, he lives 50 miles from me so I only get him at weekends :( I am thankful for my BOB ;-)
  • so far I only have a before pic. I'm not yet ready for my after shot :D Soon as I am, I shall don a bikini n post it. Don't wanna post before pic by itself, makes me want to weep...
  • Buy cheaper cuts of meat. Turkey legs cost £2 for a giant one in the UK, brisket, mince, lamb breast and neck, to name a few. Also does your supermarket have reduced sections for things that are about to go out of date? I pretty much live on reduced stuff. God. One of those. My dad would only ever eat meat n veg. My mum…
  • I'm in!! Started Monday, had to give it a miss yesterday as was way too sore! Still sore today but I'll give it a go this evening!! It's more high impact than I'm used to so guess it'll take a while to get used to it. At the moment my legs hate me!! :D
  • I just wear a high impact cheap one that's too small. Its a mare to get in but one the twins are in, they remain stationary!! Believe it cost me £10. Supermarkets like asda do sports bras for less than £10. Mine covers the tops of my boobs (just) so maybe you need to look into something that's larger (covers more) Am a…
  • Thanks everyone :D xx I did it, but didn't quite push as hard. I managed ok and feel good for doing it!! I think my muscles are just going "OI WOMAN!! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING?!?!" rather than "ow! You're injuring me"! I've been doing bits like crosstrainer, more dancy exercise vids, walking etc but this is rather…
  • Thank you for the advice I shall give it a go, not push as hard and see how I get on! Really dont want to not do it, smacks of giving up after a mere day, but am keen to not hurt myself! xx
  • Its the UK one :D I will suggest she registers with their forum, thanks! just thought people on here seem pretty knowledgeable about many diets so you guys are my first go to :D
  • I did 5:2 and lost. If you plan carefully 500cals can be quite a lot of food! It does only work if you don't go mental on the feast days. Still need to track your cals and not eat a billion calories :D As long as you're reasonably sensible n use some common sense, it does work. I've moved on to little and often now as my…
  • I did intermittent fasting and had 400 cals on my fast days, picking carefully I could get quite a lot of food for my calories! So it could be right. You do need to eat more than 1000 tho. I was often under my cals and I stopped losing, now eat more and have started losing again. NB...the body doesn't instantly go into…
