  • I've not been feeling "well" all week. Still managed to do an hours gym on Mon and a little on Tues though. Yesterday was no excuse, I felt like crap was exausted and trying not to vomit all day. I will put it off, I dislike it, but I'm paying for it so I have to go. I don't like being a dripping, sweaty mess in public. I…
  • Have you seen a doctor about the depression? I had similar...not eating or sleeping and constantly crying. Saw doc and he said I was about to have a nervous breakdown. Got some happy pills and a councellor...much better. I do understand where you're coming from but for now, I wouldn't worry about dieting. Think you need to…
  • I found reading my kindle helped! :D Now having sweats n horrific stomach cramps! Been having hot flushes/sweats all day but assumed was cuz rushing about in a warm lab. Cramps started on drive home. Considering either bed or gentle walk. Having a sit down n a cuppa to see how I feel in 10 minutes! I did do 10 mins on my…
  • This morning a 10 min stationary bike ride. My OH got me a road bike n a gadget to have it stationary, trying to get used to it before I go outside! The riding position is weird to me! Gym after work. Plan to have a go round the weights as well as cardio cuz I didn't yesterday but only starting out so as long as I go and…
  • I wasn't particularly miserable or hungry, just deteriorated...from not exercising to no longer weighing food...so portion control went a bit awol! A lot awol! Had 10 mins on the bike this morning. Its a road bike and a long time since I cycled so feels a bit weird, position wise. And the seat appears to have been made out…
  • This is my own personal view having suffered with stress and depression for almost 15 years. Some people dont make enough insulin. They're diabetic and have meds (or diet) to fix it. I do not make enough seratonin and therefore I take meds to help. There is no shame in being ill. And its an illness. There is also no shame…
  • I drink a pint or two in the morning. Also the same during the night. And at least 2lt during the day not counting tea n coffee or other drinks. I do this because I have night sweats which wake me up and make me thirsty (obviously!) and I'm prone to water infections so keeping my kidneys and bladder flushing through is a…
  • 5'5 here! Actually started just shy of 13st. Got to 10st12, then lost the plot! Am now 11st7...goal is when I feel happy!! 10 to 10st 7 ish. Feel free to add me. My downfall is not really food...its wine! Trying to change that and have joined a gym...now if I could get my *kitten* in the gym regularly I think I might get…
  • I'm thinking if I change a few habits (its not all about eating!) like shopping once a week rather than randomly or popping in after the gym and going from work to gym and not home i may just crack it! (the random shopping is best way to get reduced meat n fish!) I think once I'm in, I'm in and its very hard to get back…
  • I dont do all of those things every day, but there is always stuff to do. Having a constantly shedding long haired cat that insists on weeing on the floor doesn't help. So I do hoover and mop most days!! Today I am definately feeling "stop the world, I want to get off!!" Its partly time and partly I feel so bloody…
  • There is a 24 hour gym but its a fair way away! I dont think it would be financially viable for me! I am not near enough to the gym to go in my lunch break unfortunately. Tho perhaps biking to work could be looked into...my only concern there is there are no showers and I sweat like a pig when exercising! I literally…
  • There are a lot of exercise DVDs out there...have a look on amazon and ebay...really depends what kind of workout you would like!
  • Yep! I also thought this could be a rather different thread! But bonking does burn calories and could therefore be counted as an exercise!!
  • Its fine! I know my OH watches porn. He knows I do. Sometimes we watch it together. He lives 50 miles away so only see each other at weekends so I'd be kinda shocked if he didn't "scratch the itch" by himself sometimes. I do.
  • Firstly, am somewhat surprised that wild animals go to the gym.... Secondly, I would not want someone hitting on me when I was working out. I have been accused of being a Cougar. Am happy to find I am a Puma. And I drive a Puma. And I'm also a Panther. A whole zoo of big cats, me! Reading this thread has been hilarious! I…
  • Sorry. But you won't get a UTI from a thong. Chafing, perhaps thrush (sweat and non cotton can contribute) but a UTI is caused by germs getting up into your urethra. Not gonna happen from wearing a thong. Its like saying you can catch STIs from toilet seats.
  • As much as 7lb when the curse of the crimson tide strikes!! :(
  • My tips (similar) weigh all food! I use digital kitchen scales that cost about £10. You should eat back some exercise calories. I tend to aim for 50% as I am unsure of how accurate MFP is on exercise, believe it overestimates. I have a spread sheet to work out my weekly average calories in and out. It also does an average…

  • Northamptonshire here!! :D feel free to add me!
  • I have recently started tracking averages as believe that gives a better indication of long term in vs out. I have a spreadsheet which I enter daily calories in and out onto and it gives me an average for the week. I also have an on going average of the weekly averages. Have you checked your reports on here? I'm in the…
  • Oooh!! Hadn't seen the reports thing! That is definately most helpful :D seems to show a little tumble off the wagon of late so that explains a lot!!! I've just done a spreadsheet in excel. Weekly blocks, with consumed and exercise (entered from what I've logged), then at the bottom an average for each for the week, then…
  • I was a piggy yesterday and Saturday involved a fair bit of wine!! Was a tad over maintainance I believe both days so I'm having a fast day today. Am doing good, 2 cups of tea and a cuppa soup at lunch and lots of green tea and water, especially as someone bought us cakes and chocs at work (I hid them in the fridge) but I…

  • I would see a doc asap if your periods have stopped. It may be due to some other reason but if they have stopped due to your weight then you may risk fertility problems. I have a friend who lost a lot of weight (this was extreme however) and can now never have kids. Just go make sure! xx
  • The last few weekends have been hard to log as have been over the in laws. I've had to eat what I was given with no idea how much was there. And there's no scales anyway :( I could try guessing but I dont see the point.
  • I personally don't see how any fruit or veg can be a danger item. Ok there's, probably a fair bit of sugar in some fruit and veg, but its natural, but its not like eating a whacking great slab of chocolate cake, is it? Unless there are any health reasons to avoid certain fruits and veg then it's nothing to worry about.
  • Skimmed milk and bran flakes and 2 cups of tea. Then pineapple and low fat natural yoghurt mid morning. I'm a grazer :D
  • I find low cal hot chocolate helps with the chocolate cravings. I'm a savoury person normally but all bets are off when its that time! And I can gain 7lb or more so I dont weigh during that week (actually this week - I feel your pain sweetie!!). I also have a major cold right now so feel particularly pooey!! xx
