Is there a Play it again sports in your area? Rowing machine is my favorite.

I use RunKeeper app for tracking walks/jogs. I'm not up to running yet.

I really like MFP for the food diary/calorie calculator. In just about every other respect I think it falls short. Do what works for you.

I have to measure out EVERYTHING. Or else I over eat. Portion control has always been a problem for me.

OK let's start easy and answer the question "How is this going to work for you?" So let's get a few basic pieces of information to start: 1. How Tall are you? 2. What's your weight? 3. How old are you?

My wife and I have different motivations for being fit. She's just looking to lose a few pounds to feel a little lighter and look a little better in the mirror. My family has a history of Heart attack and diabetes. So for me the motivation is more... urgent. If I kick the bucket at the same age my dad (and his dad) did,…

Here's the thing. Some people need to be offended every now and then. "i don't want to eat right. I don't want to walk. Someone else is sabotaging me. I don't want to change my life but I don't understand why the pounds aren't melting off" You know what? You're being a child. If that offends you than it offends you. Tough…

There is someone in charge of the cafeteria. They should be able to provide you with all the nutrition information you need to maintain your logs.

Big. *kitten*. Garden. Salad. With grilled chicken and some fruit for flavor.

+1 I don't care what anyone else's scale says. I really don't even care what my scale says. it's the progress that I care about. The difference between when I started this journey and now. As far as I'm concerned, the more time the wife and I are naked at home, the better ;)

I keep some snacks in my office desk. Little 100 calorie granola bars. sometimes a hunger pang is a mental thing. I'll just get up and refill my water cup. Sometimes when your stomach is really sending you a message it's best to have a snack. Simply adjust at dinner time. Or go on a 30-45 minute walk to work off the…

I log everything every day using the iphone app. Vacation next week will be no different.

I'm 41, 176 pounds, 5'5" Eating 1500-1700 calories a day No food 3 hours before bedtime. I get 10,000+ steps in everyday which includes a nightly walk of 2 to 3 miles. Still trying to find the right amount of calories to get weight to come off at a steady rate.

You look great. Don't let anyone steal your joy.

Good for you! You can do it!

I don't suck in. I force my belly out to its widest, then I'll relax those muscles and take the measurement.

it's a win for both artists. Maybe JT makes some new fans out of Rihanna fans, and maybe Rihanna will get some new JT fans. Also it's free promotion for JT every time the song gets played. But (and this is the big but) the name of the game in the music business is royalties. JT is a smart guy. His deal to be on the track…

I think I filter what I put on Facebook in regards to weight loss. I will post things like improvements to my diet. I'll post sarcastic pictures of my daily salad because anyone who knows me knows that I hate salad. Or my fitness routines. Because I want my family and friends to know that I'm getting healthy. But in an era…

If you both agreed to no junk food; then you should both stick to it. That being said. I think it's a short term win but a long term you are sabotaging yourself. The reality of life is that there's junk food EVERYWHERE. I think part of your new life has to be the practice of regularly saying no to the foods and activities…

It's a great motivator. For people like me who sit behind a desk all day; it's a reminder to get up and walk, be active and burn calories. Adding 10,000 steps to my day has been a real game changer.

I think when you get to the point you are at where you're fine tuning and body sculpting that it's more important to like what you see in the mirror more than being concerned about what the scale says
