  • It likely depends on both the therapist and the person. I remember looking forward to therapy as a foolproof way to cease bingeing—and now, less than two months after my last therapist fired me after three sessions, my perception of therapy and therapists has been soured. That being said, I would never desire to convince…
  • I am part of the hypothyroidism group, but this post pertains more to my depression. And naturally I know the importance of proper eating and taking exercise. ;) The cruel nature of depression is the struggle to actually care about oneself.
  • That's quite unfortunate. I felt awful on generic Synthroid, and at one point my lab results revealed a large disparity between T4 and T3, which pointed to poor conversion and the need for direct T3. Pushing your endocrinologist for Armour or Cytomel may yield good results for you, and I hope he is patient enough to listen…

I thought my thyroid levels might still be too low, but it looks like I may have another health problem perpetuating the fatigue. Editorgrrl, if you're tired and hungry all the time, perhaps your levels could do with improving? How tired are…
  • I've been on Armour for almost eleven weeks. As for other deficiencies, my iron, B12, vitamin D, ferritin, and folate are all normal. I want to stop binging, but my body screams for energy and I can't long ignore the abysmal junk food that provides it. Caffeine cannot touch this fatigue.

I combated this by gradually increasing calories over a week or two, allowing my stomach to acclimate. The nausea went away as long as I didn't binge.…
  • Sorry to bump my own thread, but I would appreciate any advice or observations.
  • Thank you for all of your responses. I was able to reschedule my follow-up appointment from next Friday to Monday so as to sooner unravel this mystery. I am not pregnant, thank goodness! XD My physician didn't think mono was the cause, but it can't hurt to bring it up again, along with possible CFS. My fatigue feels much…
