Ha ha ha ha ha! Serves you carnivores right!

Today I ran over 10 miles, after running a 51 minute 10k on Sunday. Feels pretty good, but I hurt all over.

I immediately thought shin splints. Running downhill is a pain for that.

In some ways. I can't eat oranges or anything orange flavoured and I am used to it, but I do get very hungry and irritable around Christmas when EVERYTHING has orange in, and I go to drinks parties or coffee mornings and there is literally nothing I can eat. But it feels like a bit of a first world problem! I am used to it…

I didn't propose, but if you love each other you should be together whatever it takes. I have given up my whole life for my husband and children, and in some respects he has for me as well. If he's the one, you just have to make it work.

You don't have to do anything you don't want to. I hate swimming, so I don't do it. TBH I don't lift weights either and somehow still manage to have ended up looking toned.

I love running, but for all over body conditioning, my fitness instructor has a new routine of sprints, interspersed with sets of 10 press ups and 20 second planks that is an absolute killer.

Ok read more of the thread now. I don't have an answer.

Just got back from the class and it was really hard work! I am pretty fit (training for a half marathon and do circuit training twice a week), but I found it hard. It was great.

I tried low carbing for 3 months and just got worse and worse. I think low carb is only really suitable for those with a lot of weight to lose, and even then only because it's so restrictive.
-
I don't low carb at all.

I didn't see your post! Sorry! Obviously I don't have any answers!

I'm a runner-ish. Doing my first half marathon in 3 weeks! I've been running for 2 1/2 years and done lots of 10ks but never a longer race.

Pikachu. Obviously. I can't believe some of you had pokemon when you were CHILDREN, though!!! It was invented the year I left uni. I only know about them because first my nephew and now my children are very into them.
-
I don't like them at all.

I am a vegetarian, but don't like many vegetables. I love fruit and eat a ton of that, but I don't like the taste of most vegetables. So I find things I do like - sweetcorn is ok, and I quite like squashes and sweet potatoes and sorrel, and eat them, and things which I don't actively like but I can cope with like…

Potato counts if you eat the skin as well.

She's the stupid one, not you.

In the past we only had one meal a day. This three meal thing is a very modern phenomenon. Hunter-gatherer societies, right through to the 1500s - all had just one meal a day.

I think also (coming back to this thread) a lot of people don't see overweight AS overweight. People think that what is technically overweight as the norm, and don't see themselves as getting a bit podgy until they are technically obese. I have heard so so many times people explaining their weight saying they are "big…

It's an interesting question and one that is very difficult to ask without offending people. It seems weight is one of those things we aren't meant to talk about. I think there are probably as many reasons to get fat as there are fat people. Everyone's different, and everyone's life has followed a different path. I do…

The more I think about it, the more I just don't see the point in applying labels to human relationships. Every relationship is different and is composed of the things each person will or will not tolerate from the other. Some are ok with open relationships, and in those cases, I don't think it is "cheating" some aren't,…

I get told I look too thin, but I know I don't, so I mostly ignore it.
-
No, I am on reason 5 and have already spotted some glaring errors in it up to this point. Ok - have read it all now, and basically it's mostly bull****. It's the kind of "science" that I see spouted on here all the time.

Nope. I have exactly the same issue, after having 2 children, one by caesarean, but I would never have non-essential surgery.

The bread I eat has more like 10g per slice.

I think their offspring's health is always a mother's business. You don't stop being a mother just because your child hits 18.

I guessed that. I am overweight at a UK 12/ US 8. She doesn't look overweight.
