If most people looked like that as a size 16, it would be a sensible size to aspire to be. Most people look more like weebles at that size. I would go as far as to say she isn't a size 16. She thinner than most of the size 14 people I know.

I am 5'5" and weight 123 lbs and 1500 is maintenance for me. I have been maintaining for a year on that.
-
No, it really doesn't. Otherwise no one would ever burn fat.
-
I don't think I'm sexy.
-
That is not true. Muscle is far less efficient as an energy source than fat. FAR less, and the body is designed to burn fat first. Well, after sugar. Most people don't start burning significant amounts of muscle until they are in the 10-15% fat range.

Most good chocolate is vegan anyway, so you don't need to deprive yourself! I am eating mostly vegan at the moment, though I do eat cheese. I have replaced normal milk with Alpro soya light as it has more protein than cows milk. I have found my shopping is so so much cheaper not buying dairy for the last couple of weeks!…

2 weeks isn't very long, at all. I don't think I started dropping weight for a couple of months. Depending on where you are in your cycle, it is very possible to put on a few lbs in water weight, I only weigh myself immediately after a period, as I know where I am comparing like with like, then. Hormones play such a huge…

I can't do the energy drinks/gels thing, they all give me gut problems, which you can't afford when running for 2 hours! I am having my first rest day in a while today so am stocking up on suitable food. Thanks for all the suggestions!

I am below that, but I get hungry a lot. I don't feel hungry when I am a bit heavier. I am currently 123 lbs and look ok, but feel kind of low grade hungry most of the time.
-
Anyway, I tend to feel hungrier on my rest days too. In fact, I struggle to meet my allowance on the days I exercise a lot, and feel like I am starving to death on rest days. I think it's because I don't eat enough on the exercise days, I have a deficit, which I feel on the rest days. I think it's the body evening out…

We may have found the route of the reason said person is on a weight loss site......

Peanut butter has a lot of fat and very little protein, though. I don't find it fills me up at all.
-
That's what I find too. I can eat a mixing bowl full of vegetables and still be hungry. My body naturally wants to be about 130 lbs, I think.
-
Does it? That's never happened to me! I just get hungrier the thinner I get.
-
How about unsweetened tea? Or peppermint? I don't like water unless I am exercising, but I drink a huge amount of peppermint tea.

Hunger is hunger. Are people really telling other people that hunger doesn't exist? Because it most certainly does! I feel hunger most days. Seriously, stomach pain, dizzy, feel cold HUNGER. Not at the moment because I am running a lot and have loads of calories (too many) to use up, but normally. I am always a bit…

I do eat cheese, and at the moment that is where I am getting a large proportion of my calories, I just worry about the fat. I think I might have to do the post exercise shake thing for the next few weeks. I don't really like them, but I don't want my training to suffer.

You would think I have children, I live in the countryside and don't vacuum often enough. All of which are true.
-
Sometimes. Not that much in real life as most people I see on a day to day basis are either fatter than me, or just as saggy post-children. The people I envy are those who have had children but don't have the stretchmarks or loose skin I have.

IME a massive vet bill, some puncture holes and septicaemia.

There's certainly no virtue in being a twunt just because you want to rebel against your genetic conditioning.
-
That is obvious, surely? But it doesn't really matter why someone is nice, the fact is the world is a better place when people are being nice to each other, all too many people are complete *kitten*, and actually, they make life miserable for the rest of us. What's wrong with trying to get along together?
-
I was. For about a year after I lost weight people went on about it all the time and I hated it. Now everyone seems to have got used to me being the size I am, and I haven't had any comments for a while. It's better.

Up to a point. You can't do anything about the skin that isn't attached to anything underneath.
-
If you have extra skin from weight gain alone you can lose it and tighten up. If you have stretch marks like the OP does, it's from pregnancy, and it is highly likely the skin simply isn't attached to the muscle underneath any more, in which case, no amount of weight lifting is going to make it go away completely. I have a…
-
It is both. Looking at your stretch marks - which are much the same as mine - they aren't going to go away. Exercise and getting rid of the last of the fat will help, but the skin is no longer attached to the underlying muscle, so no amount of lifting is going to cure it completely. Lose the rest of the weight, give…

I don't find it makes any difference to me if I eat breakfast or not.
-
My aim was the middle of the healthy category on the BMI charts. I think that's a pretty good place for most people to start.
-
I can't run low carbing. I feel sluggish and tired. My legs get heavy and I can't keep going past about 5 miles. After about 6 I start throwing up. Your body NEEDS a quick efficient energy source to run long distances. There's a reason sports recovery drinks are 4:1 carbs:protein. That's the ratio you need.

I have already said, I was a huge fan, so I am not saying this with any lack of respect. But - big muscles are not a sign of health. They are just a sign of being able to lift heavy things, please don't conflate the two. Also big people are far more prone to heart attacks than smaller people, and he was a very big person,…
