I'm pretty active, have lost quite a bit, and am looking to lose a lot more. Always glad to help and motivate.

Thank you both!

Thanks again! Also wanted to say if any who has lost triple digit weight has any advice feel free to let me know. I know it'll get more difficult and I've already had to adapt as I've lost more, but if I can learn from someone who has already been through it, then all the better!

Thanks! Yeah, I don't have great beard growing genes. It comes in patchy and curly, so I've got two big locks under my chin with a bit of a bald spot in between. I've been told it looks like a bowtie in pics! I am proud of my handle bar though....except for when I accidentally bite it on bad mustache days....

I had ~4200, but most of it was homemade. Hard to get an exact count when recipes are guarded secrets, so I tried to round up some. But I ate under my goal (~2400) enough Mon-Wed so that I'm just around/under my weekly goal for now. Couldn't ask for much more (except for it to be warmer...)

Depends on the person, what they're doing/eating, and how much they have to lose. So there's not really any good yardstick. Just keep at it and the progress will come. One thing I would suggest is measuring monthly instead of weekly. Inches take longer to come off than pounds. I would also measure more than just waist and…

As long as it fits your calories I wouldn't worry about it, but here's a site to see what sorts of alcohols have how many calories (with various rankings). http://getdrunknotfat.com/

You don't need to wait a minute in between laps. I don't count individual lap time. I swim for 1 hour straight and average just over a mile (~35 laps). If you're having some problem swimming more than one lap, then I'd suggest trying a different stroke. I do breast and back (breast one length and back the other). Gives a…

Premier Nutrition - 290 cals with 30g protein. That said I agree with others that you should be able to get 25-50g of protein from eating; just add some chicken or pork.

I usually save up calories through the week because I usually eat and drink a bit more on Saturday (love my SEC football!). I really love beers especially some seasonals, but I've been sticking to liquors (vodka, whiskey, rum, moonshine) and drinking straight or mixing with either low cal juices (Ocean Spray 50 cal per 8…

Sounds like you've done great so far! My advice, assuming your goal is to lose fat and retain/build muscle, is to work in some bodyweight exercises (pushups, squats, pullups, etc). There are a lot of strength building workouts that you can search for like that that don't require gym equipment. You could also of course just…

I focus more on my weekly count because one day isn't going to make or break you. That doesn't mean eat more than your BMR for 2 days and fast all the others. I usually have a day or two a week that I go over my daily goal (esp with football season in full swing). Since I've still got a lot to lose and exercise quite a…

There are some great kettlebell workouts out there. I can't stand to workout at home much, but I do use a kettlebell. It's seriously a great workout (best to have a few different sizes, I just have a 40lb one).

Depends on how you define cheat day (eat to BMR, eat anything you want, eat out of banked weekly calories, etc). For most a cheat day is something to "boost" metabolism (I don't entirely believe that), enjoy some day or event (birthday, fair, game, etc), or a psychological outlet to vent any foodie desires that would ruin…

I usually try new things if I have calories to spend, but Taco Bell's quesarito comes to mind.

From what I've seen I figured a HRM for swimming probably wasn't going to be worth it. I'm just looking to get more accurate results from hiking/walking to get a better idea of what I'm burning. Is there much difference (accuracy, reliability) between a stand alone watch HRM or a chest strap + watch HRM?
-
Mostly I hike, swim, and lift weights (depends on the time of the year); sometimes I walk (~4miles or 5K). I'd like to track primarily a caloric estimate, but also HR. Currently MFP, MapMyWalk, and ocasionally Endomondo are the only sites I use, so I don't think uploading data is a deal breaker.

I'm Chad. I've been on MFP and working on my new lifestyle for just over a year now! Always glad to have new friends to motivate and love to help when I can! Feel free to add me.

Great job!

Thank you all for the congratulations!

Absolutely fabulous work!

Brilliant work!

My PF doesn't hurt on top, does hurt more towards the heel, and usually gets better through the day with activity/stretching (really hurts if I let it rest completely after some activity). Sometimes it flares up more than others. I'd say wait and make sure what the xray's say. Even after that I'd try Dr. Scholls shoe,…

Thanks everyone! @ flumi - I remember that and absolutely meant it at the time. I didn't think it had changed much. It wasn't until I started sorting/looking for some old pics for this post that I realized the difference!

Great work hitting your goal and good luck hitting your goal weight!
-
Congrats on the great work! You look fantastic!
-
Brilliant work! I'm worried about excess skin too and will probably focus on building muscle mass eventually as well. Good luck!

Absolutely fantastic work!

Thanks cwrig!
