P90x3 isn't as weight intensive as the previous two, but it should still make you stronger from the resistance exercises it contains. Could you increase the weight you're using? On weighted exercises, make sure you're using a weight that will generally max you out between 8-12 reps unless given a specified target.

I did Tapout XT earlier this year, it will definitely hit the core. It's a different level from the 30 Day Shred but not as intense as Insanity, I think she'll enjoy it if she's into MMA, it's basically designed around MMA fighters and how they supposedly train. Mine are generally 10 minutes warm-up cardio, 30 minutes weights and 5-10 cool down.
