Eat more than your BMR. That is the minimum required for your body to function. For example, if you were bed-ridden you will need to eat that amount to maintain basic metabolic function. This is the basic number you need to keep vital organs functioning.

I grew up the same way. You get gingerale when you are sick. Our juices were homemade because my Mom said the store bought had preservatives and too little fruit content. I never really like them because she made them too sweet. The irony. :laugh: Well. Start reducing you daily total by one can and work from there.

Then weightlifting would be better for you than Cardio. If you are a newbie to WL. Try one of those classes or at home ones i.e Les Mills Pump. I finished my first round of LMP and lost 8 lbs in 12 weeks but the the inches lost were just phenomenal. P.S. I am not a coach and/or do not work for Beachbody.

It takes about 4-6 weeks to determine if an exercise/eating regiment is truly working. I would suggest that you eat between BMR and TDEE for that period by adding in the calories in wekly increments.

I strongly dislikes lunges. They are so much harder than squats and it doesn't matter if I do them before r after. When I am done doing them I feel so much better though.
