I was born with asthma, probably got it from my dad. I still have asthma, but it's seasonal, usually happens in the change of weather (living in a tropical country so the weather can change from super hot to very humid and rainy, which triggers my asthma twice or thrice a year). My parents were told by my soctor that eggs,…

My mom used to feed me soy milk when I was a baby because she was afraid I was lactose intolerant (idk with her!)... Probably why I love soy milk now! Was never a fan of full cream milk unless it was a certain local brand (Bear Brand). Luckily I found a good low fat milk I love as much as soy milk, also local (Selecta…

Anything peanut butter and bananas is the best for me! PB banana smoothie, pb banana sandwich, frozen bananas with melted pb, pb oatmeal cookies (oop no banana) haha I consider it as my addiction. Sometimes I eat it straight out of the jar. Love how smooth it looks in my spoon! Basically my answer is YES! So long as it…

Started skipping breakfast, eat a light lunch at around 12-1pm and a huge dinner 6-7pm. Realized breakfast isn't as important as people / "studies" claim to be, and since I don't do much work or move around a lot during the mornings but do during afternoon and early evenings, I eat more then. I might start having a cup of…

Three years after my shoes took the worst (climbing hills, hundreds of runs, trekking through waters and muddy lands, etc etc), it only took one puppy to destroy them. Or just the right foot!. So yes, that's how I knew. And I think it's time for you to purchase new ones! :P

Add in ice cream and chocolates and all your favorite goodies haha so long as you hit your calorie goal (Which should at least be 1200! Move it up to 1200 then slowly add in 100 cals a day per week until you reach maintenance!)
-
Because it tastes good haha my uncle made me a mango protein shake and it was really delicious, I needed more! If only whey protein wasn't so expensive here

Exactly what i think about! I hear people yap ad nag me about chemicals and amount of sugar in diet coke but I drink it anyway. So long as I don't end up drinking liters of it in a day and have my good share of water!

Every morning

exactly! people see cheat meals as good, some see it as bad. whatever works for you, so long as you're getting closer to achieving your goals! we've got different bodies and ways on how to lose/maintain/gain the weight. for me, i just eat about anything i want so long as it fits into my calorie goal (i don't count macros…

don't get mad at yourself for having 'no self control'. everyone does it at times and it's normal. just think of it as a learning experience to lessen your junk intake and eat healthier :-)
-
there aren't tips to it. just don't buy them. there's a lot of junk they sell around my campus too (fries, hotdogs, anything deep fried and lots of shakes), but i never really did bother buying them because 1 i save money that way and 2 i have my own meals. best to plan your meals ahead and start incorporating fruits and…

Same here! It's easy to estimate cups or tablespoons (I guesstimate then add more just in case, like putting in 2/3 cup of rice if I guesstimate it at 1/2), but grams? Too hard haha
-
i tried something and froze a popsicle shaped glass of milk in the fridge and had that for a snack! definitely not the same as the real thing, but it'll do since i'm too lazy to go out and buy some haha

something about chemicals and sugar whatever. health wise, it isn't too good if you have a lot of it (like most food), but if it helps your sugar cravings, then why not have a can? :-)

Thanks! Will check Nerdfitness out, I hear a lot of good comments about his articles and workouts. :-)

Thank you! :-)

Thank you! Am planning to use the Sworkit app that partners with MFP but will try to purchase the book and give that a read. :-)

If not muscle, would it be possible to lose a bit of the loose skin from the workout? Ive got loose skin in

If not muscle, would it be possible to lose a bit of the loose skin from the workout? Ive got loose skin in my legs and arms from losing 60+ lbs. :-/ Thank you! :-)

What's your height and weight? I dont think anyone should be maintaining on 500 calories. Try a tdee calculator and slowly increase your calories. Have more fruits and vegetables! :-)
-
Feel free to add me :-)

For me i weigh and measure myself every morning. Sounds obsessive, but thats just me. As for logging, I believe I won't stop. I feel like if i do start being a bit more free and stop logging, ill eventually start eating more than what i should and gaining

Feel free to add me! :)

Nope There are some days i eat ice cream and all the sweets/carbs, but instill stay the same weight or within my weight range. I weigh myself in the morning 12 hours after my last meal, no scientific or medical reason, thats just me feeling like it would give me a more accurate weight
-
Totally agree! Which is why I'm trying to create exercise goals. There's no finish line to the fitness journey, i think, but just more room for improvement in oneself. If you feel like exercise is geting exhausting, lower it down a bit or why not try something you enjoy? For me, it would be swimming.

What i did was use the calorie intake mfp recommended to maintain then slowly increase calories by 100 a day for a week until i hit that goal. Keep at it for a month or so and if you gain, lessen the calories, if you lose, increase it by 50-100, and if you maintain, congrats!
-
My maintenance is 1750 without exercise and am aiming for 2250 with exercise! I cant imagine maintaining at 1400, but then again, it depends on your height, weight and activity level. Some just have to move more to eat more, I guess :-) That and you might be right about some underestimating maintenance, since people would…
-
Multiplied it by my lowest weight (105 x 17) and got 1785 (obviously haha). A bit accurate as I consume around 1750 cals a day and am maintaining. But would still go with TDEE calculators or what MFP recommends to begin and observe where maintenancr lies from there.
-
How many weeks have you been maintaining at 1600 cals? Give it a few weeks, perhaps a month. Weight gain may be from water weight. Am not sure for your 2nd question, but based on mybexperience I used to maintain at 1800 then stopped exercising last Jan 26. Still maintaining at around 1750 and no weight change. Planning to…
