Everyone feel free to add me! I'm not a newbie either but getting back on the weight loss bandwagon, again, this time with more supportive friends!
-
I'm eating around 2000 calories a day.

Everyone feel free to add me! I'm not a newbie but I'm looking for friends to motivate me too.

I've been on MFP for a couple years myself, and haven't had a lot of success. I'm hoping that having some weight loss buddies for motivation will motivate me to work harder at this. I'll add you. :)

I'm right there with you! I've found that the best approach to weight loss for me is everything in moderation. If I deprive myself of something that makes me just want it even more. I don't want to give up on the occasional treat and alcohol...life wouldn't be fun for me if I had to do that. So anyone who is reading this,…

I keep hearing good things about almond milk - I will have to try it out. Thanks for sharing!

Yep, that would be me! I have never had skinny legs. Mine are more muscular, and then there's a layer of fat on top of the muscle. :( I've accepted the fact that my legs will never be small so as long as I can get the fat off my legs I'm happy with them :)

Feel free to add me...I'm 5'10", CW is 210 and would like to get down to 180, or 170 would be even better. I'm 31 and have 2 kids, a dog and a cat. :)

I'm piggybacking on this post to ask another related breastfeeding question-if I'm only nursing 1-2x a day, should I even consider this as calories burned? I'm thinking if any it would be minimal.

I've had my Mirena for a year now and I have a love/hate relationship with it. While I love not having to take a pill every day, I have been spotting for nearly the entire year. It's annoying. I dont feel like it's caused me to gain weight. With regard to libido, mine has been reduced in the past year but that may also be…

Great post. Your lifestyle is what I strive for in my own life.

I love seeing all the tall ladies on here! I'm 5'10" and currently weigh 209. I'm aiming to get down to 180 but if I could get down to 170 I'd be even happier. My heaviest weight ever was 267 lbs. I also think I carry my weight well and I have a larger more muscular frame. I don't think your goal is unreasonable. Feel free…

That is amazing and inspiring. Good job and keep up the great work!

I don't know what my sodium intake is but I have a feeling it's well above 1500 mg. I've always had a hard time eating a low-sodium diet and I don't eat a ton of processed foods. I figure that if I can make healthy food choices for now, once I have that down I can focus on lowering my sodium intake.

Awesome! Nice to see another Portlander on MFP!

Are you in Portland OR by any chance? There is a chain of Vietnamese restaurants here called Pho Van. I LOVE pho!

Thank you for clarifying that! I thought I'd heard somewhere that the coffee being dehydrating was a myth. That being said, I guess it also depends on what you put in your coffee - do you take it black or add stuff to it?

I'm 5'10" and am aiming for 180. That may sound like a lot for a 5'10" woman but I have a larger frame. The last time I was 180 I thought I looked pretty good and was in the best shape of my life. I guess that's still technically overweight according to the BMI calculator but that's where I'd like to be. Any lbs below 180…

I'm a newbie too - just joined this week. So far I love the site and the iphone app - it has been really helpful in tracking for me. I'd be happy to be your buddy on this journey. :)
