As long as you're getting enough protein, carbs are fine, they're not the devil. Rigger

Nice excuse OP, but I hate to break it to you, you're not special, you're just not working as hard as you could. Stop looking for reasons as to why you can't be better, and just put in the work TO be better. Rigger

I'm a late night lifter like yourself. You can eat whatever you want so long as it fits your goals. personally I like to get in some protein after a workout. I keep some Quest bars and jerky in my bag for the ride home, then I'll have some ice cream, a small salad, pudding, or whatever I'm in the mood for that night to…

I don't believe in plateaus as it relates to weight loss, so never. If you're in a deficit you're going to lose weight, it's just that simple. It's a non-linear proposition, so some months you'll lose a bunch, others you won't lose any, but that's just the way it is, the body loses weight in random ways. Rigger

If that's the case then 10-15 pounds sounds about right. I'd aim for ten, anything above that is gravy. I'd calculate your TDEE and subtract 15-20% for your goal, strength training three days a week and cardio if you feel like it. Starting strength, New Rules, or Stronglifts are highly recommended. Don't rush it, Rome was…

Not to be rude, but what's the point? It sounds like the only reason you're doing this is for a vacation, you just want to get it done quick, and based on that you'll probably be back up and likely over your current weight by Christmas. If that's the case you may as well not bother putting in the effort. On the other hand,…

Lifting all along would have been helpful, but no sense living in the past. You can move to maintenance and lift heavy and maybe recomp, but it's slow. Best advice is to up your calories to TDEE+10-20% cut the cardio to a minimum, and get on a heavy progressive barbell routine like Stronglifts or Starting Strength. Make…

Not a medicine, and it does as the name says, it causes you to shed water weight. Not a long term fix, doesn't magically burn fat, not recommended. TDEE-20% FTW. Rigger

As everyone else said, get fitted. Try on several pairs from several makers and find what works for you. That said, I love my Hoka's so much that I bought two pair, my wife went from Brooks and Saucony to Hoka, and my Father-in-law has been a runner for decades, he's crazy in to it, runs dang near every day, and competes…

^^^This^^^ It's IIFYM, not "EWYW" IIFYM means hitting your macro targets with 80% give or take quality, lean sources, and then filling in as necessary without forcing yourself to avoid so called "un-clean" foods (whatever that means.) Rigger

I agree with the others OP, you should bulk first. What are you going to cut down to? 110 pounds? Bulk first and then cut. Rigger

Easy way to rectify that problem is to get rid of the "coach"(term used extremely loosely.) They're nothing more than MLM pushers anyway, not very useful for anything. Rigger

^^^Yup, this^^^ I don't deny myself anything, there's no need, simply control yourself and you can still eat all the good stuff. Rigger

Stir fry, fajitas, pork chops, fish, salad with chicken. Skinnytaste and allrecipes have tons of recipes and include nutrition information. Rigger

I live peanut butter. I eat it with a spoon all the time, last night included. I find it a great way to get some calories after a workout when it's late at night and I'm not hungry. Rigger

Calorie deficit. You should also start doing a progressive strength training program focused on compound movements, and calorie deficit. You don't get to choose when and where the fat comes off, you just get to maintain a deficit and let your body determine where the fat comes off and when. Rigger

Personally, I love Carcinogen Cambodia, and all other weight loss gimmicks, because I can always count on at least one of these threads a day full of intelligent humans with clever gifs saying no, followed by an epic amount of butthurt coming from the poor souls who have been lobotomized by Dr. Oz. OP,…

You don't need to spend a ton, any digital food scale should be good enough. Mine is an Ozeri, it ran me right around $10 from Amazon. It's repeatable and has served me well. Just make sure you get one with a tare button. Rigger

Personally I like cooking some things with coconut oil, and adding lemon and honey to your water will just flavor and add calories to your water. Rigger

This is fantastic. My wife and I only use our cell phones, so we don't have them calling, but whenever I'm at my parent's house and the telemarketers call I turn the tables and try to sell them timeshares, insurance, or, if I'm feeling particularly pushy, Herbalife. Rigger

QFT. My cousin is a very successful chef in Park City, and though he loves his job, and get's paid well, he doesn't recommend it to anyone, and deeply regrets going into debt paying for school. It's important to be happy in what you do, but you still have to be able to afford your life. Rigger

My kids aren't teenagers yet, so not sure how I'll address this subject when that happens, but I'd like to think I'll allow them their privacy so long as they don't give me reason not to trust them. My dad once removed my bedroom door entirely, and frankly, with good reason, though I protested severely at the time. We'll…

Not necessarily for or against it. I don't have a problem with either system. That being said, the stated goal is to get people to pay closer attention to their intake which, frankly, ain't gonna happen. People who don't care about it now, aren't going to start caring about it because the government mandates a change in…

Ball type chairs have started being used for Autism therapy, the studies I have seen indicate that if poor posture is an issue the chair exacerbates the problem and worsens concentration. If posture it not an issue they can be beneficial. So, I doubt there would be a problem so long as you maintain good posture. I think I…

I'm not diabetic or pre-diabetic, and I don't have high blood pressure, so I don't pay any attention to either of them. Sugar is a carb, and I track carbs, I drink plenty of water so sodium intake is meaningless. Rigger

It doesn't matter, your metabolism is like the titanic, it takes forever to change course. Myself, some days I eat three meals, some days two, some days as many as eight and some days just one. Meal timing and frequency are pretty much irrelevant with regard to weight loss. Rigger
