Agreed on all points. Also recommend doing your strength training before if you're doing both on the same day. Rigger

Not sure what you mean by "healthy" since food is food, but some of my favorites are the Bolthouse ranch, litehouse Big Bleu, and Maple Grove Farms vinaigrettes. Rigger

What if that persons choice is to freebase crack cocaine and shoot meth as a means to lose weight, should we happily support that too? :noway: Rigger

^^^This^^^ Personally I couldn't do it, I like food and I'd get bored eating the same thing over and over again. My cousin employed this strategy, and after about three months he fell off the wagon. He just hopped back on for his third attempt, but the wheels are already getting wobbly. Food should be enjoyed, otherwise…

Followed by Contradictory statements are so much fun. You nailed it in the final line though, so I'll just leave you to contemplate the common sense contained in your own conclusion. Rigger

All three of my kids do gymnastics, and there are posters advertising Herbalife at their gym, it's crazy, and a little disgusting that they advertise to kids like they do. Rigger

So we're all miserable low life's because we don't buy into your magic fat loss and toning potion, and your massive gains while in a deficit? Epic fail, just epic. Rigger

Hmm, well, my gym has bumper plates and platforms, so I don't feel like an asshat. The reason I drop the weight is because my legs are already pretty big, and I'm really looking to get the most out of the power portion of the lift. I follow the bar down on my warm up sets, but not on my working sets. Rigger

Absolutely absurd, even as a man, I'm not building muscle in a deficit. You can't honestly sit here and tell us you're building muscle while in a deficit, it's not happening, and if you continue to claim otherwise you're either delusional, or a liar. Since you're on here pushing snake oil it's probably a little of both. Go…

I haven't experienced this, and I'm not sure I really believe in plateaus in weight-loss, but you could shift to maintenance for a couple months and then back into your cut. Rigger

Having been on both sides of that exchange, it's not weird at all. Rigger

Depends on the fish, some species carry higher levels of mercury than others, but unless you're eating fish for three meals a day I wouldn't worry about it. Even then, it's a stretch. Rigger

Use a fleece wrap to cover your mouth and nose. The ear aches are caused by excessive cold dry air in the sinuses. Rigger

Your goal wasn't very realistic based on your stats. .5 pounds per week is what you should have been aiming for, but hey, you did pretty good, and falling short of your goal on such tight margins is not failure, it's not even a bad thing. Just continue on, and congrats on the loss. ETA, you're not on a plateau, you're…

Weight will fluctuate by several pounds a day. I weigh myself at least twice daily, and depending on sodium intake, food choices, time of day, rest day, heavy lifting day, or basketball day my weight is all over the place. It's normal, there are just too many factors to consider, it's basically a game of averages. Rigger

40/30/30 for me. I'm 30, male 5'11" I exercise five days a week, lift heavy 3-4 days a week. Rigger

You're doing it wrong. MFP is not a plan, it's a high tech version of a pencil, pad of paper, and a calculator. You can set your macros and goals however you want. Rigger

I like my money to stay in my wallet, and I like my calories to come from food. Rigger

What's not healthy about potato chips and cookies? Rigger

20G is pretty low, what do you have your macros set to? ETA: 1g per pound of lean mass, I set my macros to 40/30/30 Carbs/Protein/Fats, works for me and pretty simple to hit with a broad range of foods. Rigger

I used to, until I started putting creole seasoning on it. Rigger

Very good post. I have been a runner out of necessity in the past, but last year took it up for fitness and have gotten to the point that I really enjoy it. I'm still very much a beginner, but I'm running my first official 5K in May. This post is full of good intel, running really is a fairly complex thing when you start…

Slim Fast, like every other "Diet" out there is designed for successful failure. It works, but only in the short term, they know you'll gain the weight back when you go back to normal food, it's how they get repeat customers, which is what business relies on. I assume you're not planning to live on Slim Fast for the rest…

Hmm, not sure if you picked up on the tone of the post. Also not entirely sure what this "change" is you speak of. Rigger

If I stopped eating large quantities of meat and cheese the consequences would be 100% fatal to those around me. I eat that stuff for the wellbeing of all humanity, so your welcome. Rigger

Just for clarification, I was referring to my working weight, and assume the previous poster was as well. Truthfully, I have never front squatted for max, but WW is about 75% of clean WW. I imagine I can max higher on front squat than I would on cleans. Rigger

Just log your food and hold yourself accountable. Rigger

You're missing the point, It's not a race. Slow and steady is the way to go, 5 pounds in a month is perfect, really. If you lose weight too fast, especially at your size you risk serious heart damage. Rigger
