Wow, that sucks. Just keep moving in the right direction, that's the best thing you can do. As for your SO, they have to come to it on their own terms, you can lead a horse to water and all that, just try to be a good example. Rigger

Clearly you can read, but your comprehension could use some work. I don't think you're tracking this thread very well. Rigger

ETA: Not sure if we're ever going to crack this egg. Rigger

Just did in a previous post, also pointed out several studies posted by others. Here we go again. http://ajcn.nutrition.org/content/71/6/1511.full Maybe that's not your speed though, I could probably find something on the Livestrong blog if you like? Rigger

If I weren't already having too much fun in another thread I'd help out in this one, but tagging to read later. Rigger

You do know what "Peer Reviewed" means, right? Try a medical journal, rather than an article with no scientific standing. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19934407 Rigger

Wow, that's some study you got there, it's so air tight it doesn't even need to be peer reviewed, kind of like Wikipedia. You really threw the book at me with that one. Rigger
-
You haven't referenced anyone, or cited any sources, moreover, you have conveniently ignored the studies which have been cited in this thread to set you straight. Your advice in this thread is useless and reeks of ignorance, and your conduct is absolutely abhorrent. Rigger
-
I don't need to cite my sources, because they have already been cited IN THIS THREAD by other posters, now, kindly produce yours as you stated you would. Rigger
-
I suppose if YOU don't see it then it doesn't exist, much like the several studies in this thread that refute your position which seem to have escaped your gaze. Rigger
-
So if you're opinion is wrong, and I correct your misinformation that makes me classless? Seems legit. :noway: Rigger
-
NO! Rigger

Who is this "we" you speak of? Last time I checked you're in this one alone with your nonsense opinions on metabolism. You do know that medical opinion changes over time correct? At one point, the standard cure for most diseases was blood-letting. Do you think it's possible that you and your "medical professionals" none of…

I don't skip over posts in which ignorance (needing to be corrected) is being spewed. Nor am I complaining, quite the contrary, I'm highly entertained by your stunning lack of class. Rigger Rigger

Evidently, so do some posters on these forums. Rigger

Since this is in food and nutrition, I'm going to assume OP is asking about digital food scales. OP you don't need to spend a ton, mine is an Ozeri, it cost me about $10 on Amazon and has worked just fine. Just pick one with the Tare feature that weighs in Oz, Grams, and Milliliters at a minimum. Rigger
-
That's not true, there are plenty of truly dumb questions, several of which are asked daily on these very forums. Rigger
-
How dare you advocate the eradication of blissful, willful, and comfortable ignorance through diligent education? :grumble: Rigger

You can disagree all you want, it doesn't change the fact that you're wrong. Your body can't tell time, and the changes in metabolism are so minute, and so slow that you'll never notice them, especially not within a four hour window. Meal timing is meaningless to weight loss, and to the previous poster who mentioned a high…

Judging by your stats you're right on target. I wouldn't complain about that a bit. Rigger

Love them. Chocolate chip cookie dough with peanut butter is awesome, Double chocolate chunk is great, so is apple pie, but white chocolate raspberry is probably my favorite. Rigger

OP, none of the above "supplements" get my vote. Modest calorie deficit on the other hand? Two enthusiastic thumbs up. Rigger

I'm curious how a person goes about weighing individual body parts? Get into a surplus and lift heavy. Rigger

You should get your money back. Your logging is sporadic at best, but from what I saw, you didn't hit 1200 once, and many days were below 1000 gross, which means your net is abysmally low. So again, eat more. Ditch aunt Jenny, figure out your TDEE and subtract 10-15% to get your calorie goal, eat that amount and log…

Eat more. Rigger

This caused me to facepalm so hard I may have a concussion, so much fail right here. OP, diuretics and stimulants are not the answer, you'll lose some water and waste weight in the short term, but you're not going to speed up your metabolism with some magic concoction. Calorie deficit is what works, not MLM schemes. Rigger

Calorie deficit and strength training. Rigger

^^^This^^^ You can also use a curl bar instead of a barbell to start, they vary in weight from 15-25 pounds give or take. Rigger

On Sunday I usually go over by a couple hundred, but that's about it other than last week. Last week was my birthday, and as a result I had dinner at Tucano's one night, lunch at Johnny Rocket's and dinner at Los Cucos, as well as other assorted culinary delights. I was up for a few days, but by yesterday I was back at…
