Reducing body fat definitely helps your abs show... but I don't think it's a clear cut # like 10%. I have ~23% body fat (I'm guessing; haven't checked since I lost weight), and my abs are rocking! I carry the fat lower... And yeah, sit ups. I do P90X.

I'm in!

HAHAHA!!!
-
Oh, and by "gains" I mean "losses" :P
-
For me, it always takes a few weeks of consistency to adequately see what's happening. By week 3 (if I've stayed on task), I start seeing good gains. I wouldn't give up on what you're doing yet.

**** her, she obviously sucks at life.

Haha. I had one of those days yesterday. Blew it off last night with dancing and tequila! It worked quite well, if I do say so myself. :drinker:

It's an abstract phenomena that occurs to almost nobody in modern countries.

Hey, losing 26 lbs and running slowly is a LOT better than not losing 26 lbs and never running! The glass is half full!

My Saturday weigh in was: 133 +2 lbs Frankly, I'm having a hard time with living in a studio where my kitchen is 3 feet away from my desk and bed. Plus I haven't been making the time to workout enough lately... Dam, snowboarding season starts in a month. Time to get crackin!

I underestimate my burn and overestimate my intake. I'd keep doing what you're doing, since it's working for you.
-
Haha, totally. I'd sport this sticky!
-
Ooops, date is 10/22/2011 Also, my goals are to be between 120 and 125, and have really strong legs to kick butt at snowboarding this winter!

I'm going to have to check in on Saturdays, since that's when I come to my hometown and weigh myself. Date: 10/24/2011 Weigh in: 131 lbs Net Difference: -2 <--- :D ********************************************************** I think college life can be healthy, but it's up to the individual to prioritize fitness, and take…

I'll join! I'm a grad student in Water Resources Science. I actually find it easier to make the right choices when I'm at school M-F, because I'm away from my boyfriend who is an AWESOME cook (although not the healthiest cook = me making worse choices). I like the idea of weekly check ins. It'll be fun to be accountable to…

Just do what you can. The more you do it, the better you'll be able to! I've been doing it casually for over a year, and I still can't do everything they do. It doesn't have to be all or nothing - just remember that anything you can do to move is better than not doing it!
-
You can do it!!!!
-
Is that the same as the 30 day shred?
-
Yes, a pound of muscle equals a pound of fat, hence why they both weigh a pound. The point is that a pound of fat is a lot larger than a pound of muscle (muscle is more condensed), so if you weight the same as you did before, but have more muscle, you're smaller than before. Inches matter. Make sense?

Some pain pills have caffeine in them, like Midol or Excedren. I wouldn't recommend taking them daily, but they helped get rid of my lack-of-caffeine headache. Or, you can drink a small cup of regular coffee, with a shot of cream in it. Or green tea. If you get headaches because of caffeine dependance, its a lot easier to…

I ran my first half last October (slowly...about 169 minutes). My second is a week from Sunday, and this time I've barely been training! I've been running mostly ~5 miles/week for the past few months, with some longer runs in the last few weeks. I got up to 9, but with few hills. I'm a little nervous, but I feel like I can…

Don't give up! I quit smoking after a decade, and my weight increased ~15 lbs, which encouraged me to exercise more, eat healthier, and the weight is gone now! And everything about my life is better. It takes persistence and patience. The problem is not that you're not eating enough:…
