  • Hi Asia-Are you willing to share your "high & low" calorie levels as well as how tall you are? If you prefer, you can send me a private msg if you're willing to share the info. Thanks a million!
  • Chik fil a grilled chicken wrap sounds like a great option. Thanks for the suggestion!
  • It can be a little intimidating, but guess what? You've paid your dues and have as much right to be there as they do! I ran into the same issue...and for all of you that haven't been there, it does rather feel like a fraternity! Ask for the equipment you want/need to use. Ask for a bench if someone is between sets, and…
  • I have a flex and...I have mixed feelings. when i first got it, I absolutely loved it! It synchs with myfitnesspal and will calculate how many calories you've burned (on myfitnesspal-not on the fitbit website. Fitbit will tell you how many calories you've burned from activity per week if you upgrade to premium. The reason…
  • Thanks for your post! I calculated my fitness level based on the fact that I have a desk job rather than my level of activity. I usually log 3-5 miles of walking @ about 3.5 mph daily, so will bump up my fitness level on fitbit to match!
  • Okay...so I'm a little late joining the challenge, but please count me in! CW: 179.6 GW: 168.0 Cardio: log on average 4 miles a day walking Strength: add 2-3x weight training per week. I haven't started this yet, but saw the post of how beneficial it is!
  • Barbies Tuna on Allrecipes...sweet relish, onions, curry powder (yes-curry powder), dill weed, parmesan cheese, and mayo. I only use about 1 T per 5 oz of tuna though. Yum!
  • I'm hooked on Fitbit Flex-I absolutely love it! Get a few friends to "compare" your progress to on the fitbit homepage and it becomes all the more motivating. Anyone want a fit bit friend, I am rondabug. One other thing I love: the Flex is waterproof. I wear it swimming and in the shower with no/problems whatsoever.
  • Same here-tears, but with more determination than I've felt in a good while. You better believe your post will cross my mind when I drag my butt out of bed tomorrow at 5am to get in a few miles of walking before heading off to work. Thumbs up to both of you...You, out there every day rain or shine making change happen, and…
  • ...Awesome and very inspirational! Thanks for recharging my focus.
  • I had to fill out a questionnaire. I did notice that some questions were more or less the same, just worded a little differently. I think it's okay to be vulnerable. After all, if life were wonderful, we would'nt be pursuing WLS, would we? I have also heard that 'they' are probing to determine if there are or have ever…
  • Ugh! I'm all about embracing the culture I'm visiting, but I don't think this would make it past my lips-let alone on to my food diary!!
  • I agree-it's got my vote too!
  • Each of us is different, and our bodies adjust in a way that is uniquely our own. My weight loss stall lasted for 6 weeks, but IT PASSED! If you are doing the right things: Tracking, sticking to your set calorie goals, at least moderately exercising, and drinking, drinking, drinking 8+ glasses a day, then you are on track.…
  • I met with a personal trainer this evening and he encouraged me to begin weight/resistance training. While we burn calories through cardio, we can increase our metabolism by increasing muscle mass. That means we burn more calories while at rest. I'm all for that-and for tightening up. Good luck!
  • Hi Daisy. I am brand new to the forum, but had gastric sleeve surgery on May 15th. I was a little scared even up to the day of surgery, but since? I have no regrets whatsoever. I feel like I am in control of my health and my eating habits for the first time in decades! I have also left behind my medications for high blood…
