  • In terms of weight loss a calorie is a calorie. In terms of health each subsrate is different, e.g fructose or glucose. If you want to be healthy then you can't eat whatever you want.
  • When done obsessively I think juicing might be the quickest way to become insulin resistant in sedentary populations. Taking in tonnes of fructose in a liquid form that won't make you feel full = no different to a can of coke and taking a multivitamin
  • I think your dietician may be wrong here but you'd need to speak to another dietician and/or a gastroenterologist. It is well documented that post surgery, protein is a major determinant in recovery but the avoidance of CHO shouldn't be recommended...the goal for 90% of dieticians is to ensure patients get enough calories…
  • You shouldn't cut put any foods unless you have some inclination that they might be causing you problems. That's the quickest way to end up deficient in all sorts of vitamins and minerals. In my opinion you should be increasing protein and fat whilst reducing your carbohydrate intake.

Not that you have, but have you ever taken into account your TDEE on non training days and if so, do you adjust your diet accordingly? I say that because on non-training days your TDEE is likely to be around 1,646...you can see where this is going I…
  • Hey guys, I'm new here so just a quick hello first! Something I'd like to point out is that raised serum cholesterol levels (LDL in this instance) don't just come from the overconsumption of dietary fats, they also come from the overconsumption of CHO. Developing a diet to improve your cholesterol ratios is pointless if…
