  • Obviously work out whenever you want. I've had the best weight loss success when I get in 2 workouts. 1 when I first wake up to get my metabolism going. Then I wait at least 1 hr before eating. And then 1 after I get off work (usually around 8 PM). I don't eat after that one since it's so late. The general rule of thumb is…
  • I started Feb 28th too! I've lost 12 lbs. This site is amazing. It's crazy how complete strangers can be as supportive and sometimes more supportive than your closest friends. Keep up the great work ladies!:flowerforyou:
  • That's fantastic!!! :flowerforyou:
  • This is truly awesome!!! Onderland :-) LOVE IT! Keep up the great work. Cute white & silver sports bra too :flowerforyou:
  • Congratulations! You look terrific! Keep up the great work
  • Yeah we're all on a healthy path now, but that's because we all learned there is no magic quick fix... many of us learned that the hard way. We've all prob done fads just like the ones she's researched it's only by process of elimination that we get the real answer it's just hard work. I would tell her to try "your way"…
  • I would love to join! Starting Weight: 177.4 Goal Weight by 5/5/11 165. Ok it's a little bit more than 10 lbs but I'm trying to lose 24 lbs total by my 24th birthday  Wish me luck! And I'm def doing that mini challenge- 4 cups of fruit/veggies everyday baby!!!
  • That's amazing! SO happy for you!:flowerforyou:
  • I've been sick this week and I've had a lot of trouble working out too. Best thing to do is try to eat clean. Remember you have a built in deficit. If you really feel antsy then do some small stuff- crunches, push ups, squats, or just stretch. Stretching buns calories too and gives your muscles a break. :flowerforyou:
  • Great article! I've been incorporating all of these into my diet as much as possible. Who knew I knew so much about nutrition.
  • That's amazing! You go girl!!!:flowerforyou:
  • Hilarious! Yeah I don't agree with some of it but it's rather funny.
  • Your abs should be strained a bit when doing push ups. You're in a plank position. Make sure that your arms are under your shoulders and that your back is flat. If you don't feel your abs working at all you're probably doing them wrong.
  • I love eggs! yep make sure you log anything you cook them in.

  • MFP is the best support system you could ever have!!! Add about 20 friends and keep up with them intimately and you'll get all of the love right back two fold. It's amazing how complete strangers are more motivational than your best friend. Trust me- if you're doing it "alone" you're in the best place!:flowerforyou:
  • I am also scared of past foods. I like to avoid having to test my self-control but just not ordering them. I've been on this journey for a month and I've had pizza twice both times I was at work. I had 1/2 a slice of NY style pizza from bday parties. It was satisfying but I'm super terrified to actually purchase a whole…
  • I'm not this huge weight loss success story... yet. I've been on MFP for about a month. I've lost before and I've learned the biggest thing is to eat quality calories. Lots of ppl have success eating processed foods and those are ok in moderation but eventually you will plateau eating that sorta stuff. Also, just trying to…
  • You go girl! Keep up the great work!
  • That's amazing! You go girl!!!!
  • amazing!!! You go girl
  • Been there. Done that. Don't weigh in for a few days. Your body will likely use the extra sodium to retain water weight so you've prob gained a little or maintained. Give your body a few days to get back to normal before braving the scale. Up your water intake a bunch! Gotta get that salt out of your system. Hope that…
  • Oh I just took a peep at your diary. You're under cals majority of your days. That's key you're body is prob in starvation mode and storing EVERYTHING. Make sure you get 1200 cals everyday. Try to cut out all that fast food. It's chock full of sodium. I see you've been very conscious of your portion sizes but that's not…
  • I def echo @healthyaf . It's important to log everything and weigh everything. I find a lot of ppl focus on deprivation and tryign to stay below a calorie limit and sacrifice NUTRITION which is much more important than just cutting cals. 3 tips for you: 1. Drink 8-10 glasses of water. Drinking water is crucial for weight…
  • Hard or easy the key for me is to just do it! Once you create a habit it's just second nature. Burning some calories (if you're not performing at your peak) is better than burning none at all. Even on days when you're not at the top of your game be proud that you actually completed the work out girl :flowerforyou:
  • You go girl! LOVE seeing close zip or button that just didn't before.:flowerforyou:
  • Most people are so insecure themselves that they don't notice other people at all. Trust me, it's all in your head. It's likely your neighbor is thinking the same thing.
  • You go girl! I can really tell a difference :flowerforyou:
  • Congrats! That truly terrific!!!
  • :flowerforyou: There's absolutely nothing wrong with packing more calories into the morning hours. It's actually better for weight loss becuz it gives your body all day to burn it off. One of my bff's told me to eat like a king for bfast, prince for lunch, and pauper for dinner. She's lost 17 lbs so far :-) Hope that helps
  • I used to have that problem too. What are you doing while you're snacking? If you're watching TV then perhaps you have associated snacking with watching TV. If you're browsing the net perhaps you've associated that with eating... you have to condition yourself to do those activities without eating. It's hard at first. I'm…
