Thanks for sharing! I know not everyone appreciates the points made in the OP but the benefit of discussion board is just that, discourse. It's all a learning process for me and I'm smart enough to consider the source every time anything is posted. And more importantly consider my own body's reaction to what I put in it.

"Don't be afraid to give yourself everything you've always wanted in life." All these stories of ping pong weight loss sound all too familiar to me. I lost 38 lbs in 2012 and have gained all of it back and then some. I'm committed to losing 50 lbs by summer. I'm vibrant, smart, driven, and I love myself. I'm ready to be in…

Your stomach can shrink and stretch according to what you put in it. Each day try to add a little more nutrient-rich foods until you hit the daily 1200. Eventually you won't feel full anymore. Also, if you have nutrition goals and you are serious about them- focus on foods full of stuff that's good for you. At the end of…

I weigh myself twice a week and try to log both. Whether it's a loss, gain or maintain. Every little bit counts. And for me, it’s often more about reflecting on my eating habits that week than just the number on the scale. I consider it a “gain” if I’m up 2 lbs. It’s a “loss” if it’s anything at all lol- 0.1 lbs. is a…

This by far is my favorite! I hear that all the time. Usually coupled with "I heard about this new diet pill...." Do you think I should take it? I usually just smile and say "Well different things work for different people. Diet and exercise is what's working for me."

You have to be patient. Trust me, I felt the same way at the beginning of my journey. I was so mad at myself for letting myself get so out of control. But everyday I went to the gym I felt like I was accomplishing something. And it took forever (really just 2 months) until EVERYONE noticed. It took me about 6 months to…

My fatness was an accident... I think. It just sorta happen. No traumatic life experiences or anything. Then I think it's also a little self sabotage. It's nice to have something to blame for not doing well in things. For example, I used to do pageants so I always blamed my weight on not winning.

I threw a candle one time. The wind from the throw blew the candle out before it hit the person. And got wax on the floor. The whole incident made us burst into laughter. The end to the fight. .

I hear you girl! Good for you for getting off of them! I was on Seasonique birth control and it was making me very depressed.... which I'm sure influenced my emotional eating. I didn't want to go out or do anything. Now that I'm off it I have so much better control of my emotions. And I'm addicted to endorphins! Which…

Took a quick peep at your diary and I don't think it's your calories. I think it's your diet. First off- great job on staying committed to this process! You work out hard and you've obviously be watching what you're eating. Congrats on your success so far! Also, it takes a lot of courage to ask for help on these boards as…

All very good questions @chacha A few more questions: - Are you tracking your sugar intake? - Are you eating too much dairy? -Are your meats lean or fatty? - How much water are you getting? -Your profile says you're a long distance runner- have you tried HIIT training? -What time of day are you working out? Perhaps try…

I have had success eating my carbs EARLY. My trainer told me that if I want to have something unhealthy to try to do it in the morning so that I have all day to burn it off. Makes sense to me. I also subscribe to the notion of eat like a king for breakfast, prince for lunch, and pauper for dinner. I eat my heaviest meals…

I love a mix of protein and complex carbs before a work out. My go-to bfasts are below: 1.) Subway English muffin- turkey, egg white, provolone, cucumber, tomato, green pepper, black pepper, red wine vinegar 2.) Toasted mini whole wheat bagel (110 cals) with peanut butter and half a banana sliced on top of it. 3.) Toasted…

Everyone has been giving great advice on changing your eating habits. Great job on the 90 mins of exercise daily. That's tough. Especially w/ a full time job. But you can't out exercise a bad diet. Trust me, I've tried. You should change your diary to track sugar and sodium also. Once you change it to track those…

I just had a 1/4 of a red velvet cupcake from Sprinkles. My co-worker: "You're still on that diet, right?" Me: "Well I'm really just trying to eat healthy and workout." Co-worker: *Disapproving look* Me: "Well I try not to deprive myself.... It's been working so far. 25 lbs. and counting..." Hey- if people can…

OP- I do a similar program. 5 hours a week of cardio. 2 x 45 min weight lifting 2 of my cardio sessions are ab focused- like Bob Harper's totally ripped core DVD I haven't gotten burned out from this regimen yet but that's because I do A LOT of variety. Sounds like maybe your body just needs a few rest days. And maybe you…
