I apologize for my sad little drawing, but it's the only way I can help describe it!
You start with the weighted bar in the middle
Bend down
Middle again
Above head
Repeat
What is this called?!
Feel free to friend!

I have no clue what they are called but that is an excellent drawing of what you are trying to convey!0

hope some body builder respond...but from mt weight lifting days if i remember correctly...if you are lifting all in one motion its called a snatch lol yes...and if its two motion it a clean and jerk0
-
Clean and press?0
-
1 1/2 clean and jerk or clean and press i do believe.
edit** if you started with the bar on the floor they are just clean and jerks or clean and press.0 -
Looks like a Snatch or a Power Snatch (the difference is the deep squat that happens in the Snatch).0

That sounds dirty. :laugh:0 -
they call it "clean and press" in bodypump0
-
Hang Clean and Press (hang refers to the starting position of the bar)0 -
It's either clean and press (if you stop at your shoulders)

or overhead clean and jerk
or snatch

Lmao that's the best illustration of a clean and jerk, that really cheered me up. Makes me want to go draw some stick men0

Here's the Clean and Jerk.
You know what you're thinking of, but it looks more like a Snatch than C&J to me.0 -

A "power snatch" sounds intimidating but delightful.0 -

i like power snatch! thank you all!0

If you're not skilled enough to handle the Snatch, you may wish to resort to the Clean & Jerk.0

It's called the hangman guy getting a little older, getting paunchy around his mid-stick and pursuing resistance training to become a stick figure again. Of course, eating a few less vowels would help.0

Thanks guys! I know I'm quite the artist
Now the next question- how would I log, say, 15 minutes of this?0 -
I don't see how people see a Clean and Press or Clean and Jerk from this? The bar would be on the stick-shoulders for the end of the Clean. And yes, I'm arguing about a stick-figure drawing of an oly lift. :P0
