  • Me! I've known since I was 12 that I had PCOS but only had it confirmed once TTC. I'm now 27. I've had an HSG and the ultrasounds. Now waiting for my period after taking progesterone to force it (because I don't get periods) so I can have the hormone testing done. The doctor said the first step will be clomid. It looks…
  • My mother and her mother both had it - not sure before that but on my grandfather's side they only had one child back in the 1920s so I might have been hit with it from all sides!? My aunt does not have it though. I guess we're the lucky ones. :/
  • LOVE my Aria scale. I tested it's accuracy one day by weighing myself just before going to the doctor - the weight was pretty much the same. My WW scale was a good 1kg off from the doctor's scale. I have mine set up to sync with MFP, which is awesome now after using it for several months because I can see all the daily…
  • I'm 5'2. Started at 148 pounds/67 kg on 1 July 2013. I've dropped weight in stages over the last two years! First stage was getting to 133/60kg by the end of September 2013. I let it go for a little bit, but maintained at around 62kg (137 pounds). Second stage was getting to 125 pounds/57kg, I restarted early April 2014…
  • I was just going to post the same thing! My hips haven't moved an inch even after losing 15 pound. I am guessing for me it's just body structure - my hips have always stuck out even at my highest weight of 148 pounds.
  • Cheesecake or chocolate for sure!
  • I was 120 pounds graduating 8 years ago. Still 10 pounds off!
  • I'm 5'2 SW: 148/67.1kg CW: 130/59kg Original GW: 125/57kg New GW: 120/~55kg
  • Only my husband has noticed my weight loss, no one else has said anything. I'd love it if someone had noticed!
  • I'm 5'2, 25 and have lost 8kg so far - hoping for about 3-4kg more! Original goal I am 2kg from :) Would love some new friends!
  • 1. Back into a size small 2. Cut down from 4 cans of diet coke a day to 1/2 a can of caffeine free diet coke 3. My thighs no longer rub :drinker:
  • Bumping this thread. I actually noticed today that I am addicted to sugar. I'll willingly give up 'good' foods just to get my 'fix' (omg, seriously sounding like a druggie here!). I noticed though that I'm starting to notice bad side effects. I'm now at a normal, healthy weight, but if I eat too much sugar, I end up…
  • Cookie dough is always a winner, but agree with others, late night snack is the bestttt. I live in Germany at the moment and Haagen Daz is the normal ice cream here. Haha. If you're able, try and find Tillamook cake batter ice cream for a tastebud orgasm. It's the one thing I miss from the USA like crazy.
  • Whoa whoa, I can't believe some of the responses in this post. I mean, I know it's the internet - but WOW. There is a lot of extremism in terms of opinion here, but really! First off, I've been on birth control for 13 years, due to my childhood doctor putting me on them due to acne - at 12. By acne, I mean pretty much…
  • Yay for new friends - thanks so much guys! Looking forward to getting to know you all! And anyone else who is keen, just send a request through :)
  • I'm 135 pounds and 5'2. My profile pic is me last week
  • Carne asada fried corn tacos.
  • Agree ^^. The only time it's ever come in handy was when I lived in an extremely hot climate, and I didn't sweat through my work clothes on a daily basis like my work mates did. Any other time, it sucks. I get a sweaty forehead and that's about it, yet I go super bright red and overheat. I'd love to sweat!
  • I'm originally from New Zealand, and I had a 'soda' addiction. From what I've noticed since living in the USA and now being around military, Americans are WAYYYY into their 'energy drinks'. Thankfully my husband isn't. He doesn't even drink soda lol. The free refill thing in the USA probably makes it easier to drink a lot…
  • I have PCOS and all I ever hear from my doctor is about limiting carbs as it makes your blood sugars go crazy. As someone posted above though, carbs are what I crave! I still fit them into my diet, and luckily still manage to lose. If I want to get seriously dieting though (i.e. down to my ultimate goal weight) then I will…
  • I had all 4 out in January. I was put under as 3 were impacted (one side ways) and nerves were involved. I was on oxycodine for an entire week. I did start eating solids around 5 days in at the insistence of my husband. The thing that actually got me eating again was cake batter milkshakes from Cold Stone. Shameful, but, I…
  • I personally don't recommend the Weight Watchers scale. I find it really inconsistent - it seems to just 'remember' the last weight and then run with it. I try to reset it by holding something heavy, and when I get back on it without the heavy thing, it's never the figure it was only a minute before. I'm looking into…
  • I'm guilty of this too, and I take full responsibility, but my parents were/are the worst emotional eaters. Lately I've been controlling it through several ways: - Before I go to eat a snack, I have to drink half a bottle of water. Sometimes it fills me up enough to take away the craving. - Portion size. I make sure…
  • You will get over some of that. At 19, when I was in college, I ate a horrible diet. To be fair, most of the time I was 'fasting' just so I could drink alcohol, but when I did eat- it was bad. At 22 I had this epiphany that I was >embarrassed< when I ate out because I'd always pick things that had the least vegetables in…
  • Because some people can't eat real bacon? I can't. As for low calorie options, here in Germany we have these super fine 'pizza' bases called flammkuchen. They're literally about 2mm thick. Last night I made up a pizza with Indian tandoori paste, chicken, peas, cashews and greek yoghurt and 2 slices came to 200 calories.…
  • Mine were photos! The first was denial - it was a photo when we were still in the USA, at a family gathering. I was like ohhh, it's ok, you can pull that back in. Second was denial #2 - saw a photo of when we just moved here to Germany and I look like I have fat around my neck area - on the top of my back. I was like whoa…
  • I get jealous, yep. I'm not going to put a woman down, but I can think whatever I like in my head. And ladies - we all know "the look" when a woman is giving you the same stare down. I find my jealousy definitely goes down when I'm at my happy weight - but it's always there. Even now I'm happily married, I still get so…
  • Thanks guys, I'm glad it's not just me dealing with this frustration then. I actually bought the digital one thinking it'd be a whole lot more accurate! The bathroom is tiled, and I always place in the centre of one of the tiles so that it is always in the same spot, and not at any point where the tile grout is. Oh well!…
  • You're inspirational!
