You don't subtract anything from it. Fitbit gives you your tdee. So that 2700 is what your body used for the day. If you are losing weight you subtract for that. So to lose 1 lb you would subtract 500 from that and eat 2200.

I loved SOS when my mamaw would make it. It was the only time I was allowed to say *kitten*. When I grew up I went to a restaurant and they called it chip beef gravy and I was like WTF that's definitely *kitten* on a shingle so bring me some toast!

That's what I believed. Thanks guys.

Correction.... 600 is your worst days and 1000 is your best(still way way too low) Remember weight-loss isn't a punishment for being overweight. Weight loss is just weight-loss.

I am 5 ft 6 and 203lbs. I get an adjustment from sedentary of 1200 to 1500 calories a day. I get around 18000 steps a day. Fitbit has been giving me a tdee of about 3200 average. I've been losing 1 lb a week eating 2600 or so calories a day. This has been pretty steady over the last 2 months. So it was quite accurate for…

You might get some more help in the gaining weight forum, but basically you are not eating enough. Your tdee /maintenance calories are higher than you're eating

Do you have an activity tracker like fitbit attached to your mfp account?
-
For 17000 steps I get about a 1500 calorie adjustment and I eat all of it.

Keep on keeping on... also exercise(especially strength training) make you hold on too some water weight in the beginning because it uses the water to repair your muscles. You might still be losing weight and the water weight is masking it.

My Fitbit is very accurate for me. I get on average 18000 steps a day. I get a tdee around 3300 from Fitbit and I eat all of my earned calories back pretty much every day. I'm eating 2500 to 2800 calories a day to lose 1 to 2 lbs a week. I do absolutely no purposeful exercise this is all just work and daily living(neat).I…

Hello from Toledo.

Lik your fitbit to myfitnesspal. And yes join the group.

You got a fitbit, use it. Eat what the fitbit tells you to it. you shouldnt have to go back and keep changing your activity level if you have a fitbit because it will automatically tell you if you should eat less or more. Make sure you have negative adjustments enabled and trust the process.

Hey I just wanted to give a quick answer because we have eerily similar stats. Im 28 weigh 215 and work at a steel plant. I got a fitbit flex last week and ive consistently gotten around 15000-18000 steps a day. Ive been eating around 2500 calories a day for the last month and have been losing 2 lbs per week.As much as I…

Are you set as sedentary on MFP?
-
So from research if I sync my fitbit account to mfp my best bet is to set it for sedentary, enable negative adjustments, then just eat what number I get. THen adjust up or down for accuracy?
-
I'm sorry I know this was kind of general and pointless. It mostly just shocked me. I never thought of myself as super active. Those activity level examples always confused me. I keep thinking how I could be big when I'm this active, but deep down I know it's because I was eating a lot, probably close to 4000 calories a…
