I wish I knew the answer to this. I hadn't binged at all in a year (almost) and then I had one bad day and since then I just cannot stop binge eating :( From July 10th last year to 23rd June this year I didn't binge, but now I do well for a couple of days or even a week or two and then binge again. It's so frustrating!

5'2. SW: 169 lbs (12 St 1 Lbs), size 18-20 (I think) CW: 132 lb (9 St 6 Lbs), really not sure about what size I am as the sizes vary so much! I'd love to eventually get down to around 8 St and hopefully a size 10 :)

I used to binge eat and for me a binge was never really about how much I ate, but how much I lost control over what I was eating. I used to have this mentality where I'd convince myself I could eat whatever I wanted that day because I had messed up my diet anyway and tomorrow I would do better. I would sometimes eat to the…

I pretty much eat whatever I want - as long as I know how many calories etc it has. I don't have takeaways or eat out at all, but I'll happily have a chocolate bar whenever I want (as long as it fits into my calorie limit). I also only drink water or tea. I really don't see the point of wasting calories on juice or other…

I pretty much weigh everything I eat or drink. There's no point only weighing some things and forgetting about others!

You're eating far too less. How long are you going to be able to carry on with this before you go back to old habits? Stop thinking of weight loss as a short term fix.
-
Definitely don't have it all in one go! Why not have a little bit every day or every other day and actually enjoy it instead of eating it all and feeling sick after. Also, this way you won't feel guilty afterwards and won't gain weight (as long as you have it within your calorie limit).

I started at 169 lbs and it took me around 4 and a half months to lose 25 lbs. Soon after that though, my weight-loss stalled; I didn't lose anything for about 5 weeks.

I don't mind doing it at all. For about 7-8 years I used to note down what I'd eaten into a little diary I'd purchased and then use another book, which had calorie values for most foods in it, (or look up the nutritional information online) to calculate exactly how many calories I'd consumed. I did that on and off for…

I'll give it a try. I struggle with that though as I love my carbs!

Something isn't adding up then. First. You should not be eating below your BMR. You would be losing if you were eating at that big of a deficit. I am not going to tell you to eat more because you will just argue. I am going to tell you that eating below your BMR is unhealthy and damaging. Second, might be time to change…

I weigh everything! Seriously. When I cook, I even weigh out spices to the gram which have next to no calories in them anyway. I have a digital scale; I weigh everything on that.
-
[/quote] At 1293 she is at a deficit...question is ... is she being honest with herself on her intake. Don't take this wrong sweetie but if you are eating 1293 on average and accurately counting your exercise, you should still be losing weight. I would re-evaluate how you are measuring your intake. Are you weighing your…

I don't intend to cut out more calories as I'm already eating below my BMR (1421). I'm 5'2, currently 140 lbs, have a very small frame (under all the fat! :D) and aim to get to 110 lbs or so. I've been increasing my calories slowly since I started, so maybe that's why my weight loss has stopped. When I started MFP I…

There is a huge difference; well done on the loss!! I'm certain people have noticed but maybe don't want to comment in case they offend you in some way. I've lost 29 lbs and so far only one person has commented. I personally can tell that I've lost a fair bit of weight, if others don't see it, then it doesn't really bother…

I struggle with this too. I've been dieting on and off for years. Since I was around 10 or 11 years old I've been dieting. I've done all sorts of silly diets and although I was never overweight to begin with, I am now. I was obese before I started this again last year, and now am in the overweight category and almost in…

Definitely a digital scale.

My diary is open; I don't have the best diet, but it's working so far :D Feel free to add me anyone!

I weigh and measure pretty much everything that I eat to the gram or ml. I know it's a bit obsessive but this is what works for me and I honestly don't mind doing it. If I was to just guess the amount, I'd probably under-eat by quite a bit as I tend to overestimate everything.

I weigh weekly. It works best for me I think. Some weeks I don't lose anything, but that's fine. As long as I know I'm doing what I can to lose weight and am headed in the right direction, that's all that matters.

Great job! You look stunning :)
-
You look amazing! Great job! I am also 5'2 and I started out in July at 169 lbs. My goal weight is also 110 lbs and I hope to achieve it by July this year! I really hope I can be where you are by then :)
-
This is great.. I'm the same height as you and started out at 169 lbs and currently am at 142 lbs. My goal weight is around where you are now and I personally think you look amazing! I cannot wait to get to where you are. You should be very proud :)

The last book I read was 'An Instance of the Fingerpost' by Iain Pears - a historical murder mystery set in the 17th century. I'm now reading 'The Shining' by Stephen King.

Hi, I'm a typical yo-yo dieter. I go from one extreme to the other and this is something I've struggled with for most of my life. I'm hoping that this will be it now. I'm not anywhere near as strict with my diet and exercise as I have been in the past (still needs a lot of work though). I think the key to overcoming the…
-
My goodness! I can only dream of losing that amount of weight in just 5 weeks.
-
I agree completely. However, it's just very difficult trying to convince myself to follow through with smaller changes. I know that's the best way to lose weight and keep it off, but somehow it is extremely difficult to do.
-
For me, being obsessive always leads to failure - hence why I'm fat. I'm always obsessive when I try to lose weight. I can continue with it for months on end (4-10 months usually). I worry about everything I eat and avoiding anything that hasn't being weighed beforehand but then I snap, I go back to old eating habits and…

I'm 158 lbs (5'2'') and currently am wearing size 18. They're getting a little big for me but my size 16's are too tight.

You look great! Congratulations
