  • Boxfish, you crack me up. KMJ- please let us know how the modified squats work out for you and your knees.
  • Carisduice- I ordered mine from Amazon, I am not sure if you can find them for free on YouTube. http://www.amazon.com/Gaiam-05-59144-Jillian-Michaels-Revolution/dp/B0091UIMK0 Boxfish- Thanks for the advice. I hear you about going at your own pace and not that of professional athletes in their 30's! LOL. I am going to check…
  • I'm only in the second week, so not enough time in yet to know. From previous Shred experience, I could never get the form right on the side lunge with a lateral something or other.
  • I did the Shred about 3 times last year, had excellent results, then fell back into non-motivated land after being sick and an injury. You can see my before and after picture in my photo gallery if you friend me. I looked and felt awesome! I have now committed to and started BR last Monday with the kick start program/diet.…
  • You do gain weight back in phase 4 if you follow protocol, but you should not gain inches. I went into phase 4 last Fall and started doing 30 day shred plus getting in 10k steps a day. I abandoned phase 4 and just ate what I wanted but kept it at an average of 1500 calories a day. I actually lost a few pounds doing this.…
  • Get checked for Fibroids when you go to the doctor. Nothing serious, but a pain the *kitten*.
  • Yay! I am so glad you all are responding. How about I create a IP Alumni group towards the end of April, that is when a few of you seem ready for transition? Jan- I would love to do C25K too. I used to run a lot, before I had children. I have run off and on over the years since, but never in a training mode. I bet…
  • Jan, Let me know when you are ready to start the 30 day shred. I may be up for round 2 by then. :) In the meantime, I'd love thoughts on what an IP Alumni group would look like and how to support. ljantgen mentions recipes. I want exercise and daily motivation in the form of support plus reminders of why I did IP in the…
  • I'd love to hear what it takes to be a health coach for IP. It's something I have been considering doing as well. I think I would be good at it. How do you earn money, is it by the hour, sales commission?

  • Speaking from experience, the FitBit is an awesome idea. Set a goal for steps or calories burned. I'm "Sharon DK" if you want to be friends on FitBit. You can synch it with MFP so that your calories burned are deducted from your intake. Another good thing to do when you are finishing IP is to start a daily exercise regime.…
  • Yep, I went through all the phases. I felt great. And was totally ready to crank it up a notch with working out. I am feeling better. I think it's no coincidence that when I started slacking on my diet I started getting sick more.

  • Thanks for the ideas. I'm going to stick with MFP and add new goals to shake things up. I am committing to Krav Maga twice a week, and finishing week 4 of Ripped in 30. I also made my food diary private again. I need to think about a 100 day goal, like running a 10k, something that requires training and a end reward.…
  • I'm currently on week one day 5 of ripped in 30. I did 30 DS twice, back to back starting in September, totally changed my strength and endurance. I love the results from JM workouts.
  • Love this app! It's the only reason I walk and run. I have about 15 missions left in Season 2, and haven't listened to radio mode that much, so I can make it last a while longer. I also post my mission complete messages here on MFP, and get a lot of funny questions from friends about what exercise I am doing. Would love to…
  • Hey Cindie, Thanks for the info. I have tinnitus and I suspect Menier's. Could you please be more specific with how your dietary changes have improved your tinnitus? And how long did it take being on the low sodium diet, no CATS (read your response in another thread), lemon rind/regimen kicked in and you noticed…
  • Up at 5am, and working out by 5:15 with a Jillian Michael workout in the living room.
  • You look much stronger and fit! What are your next steps? Congrats.
  • Hey Cindi, I've definitely pulled back my interaction in general the last couple of months. Just a lot going on between work and the holidays. I plan to ramp back up come 1/2, and I have made a conscientious decision in the meantime to put away the scale and enjoy whatever holiday goodies I want. I'm still logging and…
  • https://medium.com/human-parts/bf5111e68cc1 The above link is to a letter a woman wrote her Mom about learning to be unattractive, insecure and unworthy. There is no easy answer, but there are a lot of different ways to overcome your self loathing. You can start by simply googling "overcoming self loathing".
  • Hello, Just started today and would like join the group. I recently finsihed up 2 months of 30DS, and love the results. Can't wait to see what I can achieve with Ripped in 30. 5'9" CW- 158 (I gained 5 pounds last week, hoping this comes off fast) GW- 147
  • I've been out of phase 1 for a while, and off IP for a couple of months now. Feel free to friend me if you want. I'm happy to answer questions or help.
  • Your weight loss is simply amazing, thank you for sharing your story. Ive seen your pics around, but didn't know much about you. My favorite photo of you is when you are showcasing your scar. Something very important, besides weight loss, happened between the taking of those photos. Your expression in the first photo, you…
  • You look stunning. Congrats on the weight loss!
  • "It's not getting easier, I'm getting stronger." Been thinking this while doing the 30 day shred...
  • Great thread and great advice. Im doing 30ds for the first time and am on Level 1 day 9. I'm doing modified all the way thru all the levels with no shame! Then I'll go back and do 30ds again to turn up the volume. I switch from holding two weights to one for some of the strength moves during the first round and then back…
