As long as you added the salt and not the "big evil food companies", cause that added salt from the BEFC is different and is there to addict you. lol

Sunflower seeds. Something satisfying about cracking the kernel open and spitting the husk on the ground.

Uh, I....REALLY?! Lol!

Shoot, that was supposed to have a smiley winky face at the end of it. Was just a random thought how we label stuff. Regardless of what it is I'm eating or whether it is 8am or 2pm I secretly think "breakfast" because it's my first meal of the day, "breaking fast" from the day before. And there's nothing like breakfast…
-
So if one doesn't eat until noon or 1pm is it still "lunch" or is it "breakfast"?

Isn't that what Po was supposed to do once he became the Dragon Warrior in Kung Foo Panda?! Tigress: "It is said that the Dragon Warrior can survive for months at a time on nothing but the dew of a single ginko leaf and the energy of the universe." Po: "I guess my body doesn't know I'm the Dragon Warrior yet. Gonna take a…

Yep, my son has Crohn's and had 22 inches of lower intestine removed (emergency surgery) when he was 13. They had him on a very specific liquid diet to, hopefully, allow his intestines to heal. Let me tell you that an actual replacement meal shake that includes all the necessary macros and micros is NOT cheap. PediaSure…

Take plenty of vids of your lifts and compare them to Ripptoe's vids and Alan Thralls vids (there are other good ones too). Form is what starts to break down the heavier you get on weights so keep taking vids often and reviewing them.

^^^ nice job!

Amen! Just means more diligence is needed. I'm 47. Been through a couple bulk/cut cycles too.

I've jumped as much as 8lbs in water weight just by upping carbs and adding creatine back in. Just sayin'.... Plus I fluctuate throughout the day as well, you just need a good baseline to (as said above) figure out what is normal for you.
-
That seems odd (I am not a Dr.). You have baselines from previous tests? What the Dr. say?
-
Do you supplement with creatine also? How soon after the workout did you have blood taken? Both can cause increase. That's why I've had to remind my Dr. that I supplement and given him some literature to read.
-
Thanks! Not fully rehabbed yet (SLAP tear and partial rotator cuff tear in Dec-Dr recommended against surgery) but definitely feeling better. Of course if he did recommend surgery I was planning on telling him to remove some excess fluff while I was under......

Didn't take vid but I was able to BBBP yesterday with 225x3, all pause, and no pain in the left shoulder at all!
-
Frustrating yes, but it's just a little blip in the long scheme of things..you got this!
-
Heck yeah! Nice job!

Same here. In elementary school the bus also got to school 30 mins early and we played outside, there were 2 25 min recesses and 40 mins of recess after lunch. Jr high you had 55 mins of gym where it was always a high activity level plus sports practice after school. HS, still 55 mins of gym and sports after school. Some…

I've been kicking myself for not snagging a trap bar at a Play-it-again-sports that was on sale for $70. I've had the opportunity to try them at a few gyms while traveling and it's a piece of equipment I could use on a routine basis.

Way back when I just started with the bar on all the lifts. Did lots of taking vids to check my form and compared to squat vids by Ripptoe and others. 10lb increase on lower body each week and 5lbs on upper (as opposed to how the program laid it out increasing each time). The slower increase let my ligaments and tendons to…

Only neoprene exercise gear that gets used by me are my knee sleeves and elbow sleeves to keep the old joints nice and toasty. Other than that, like others said, why would anyone want to sweat more?
-
How is that any different than youtube then?! Are they going to ban youtube next ffs..... Eh, whatever... ION am benching again. Dr didn't recommend surgery for the SLAP tear or the partial tear in my rotator cuff. Been using a slingshot to help lock in tight form and it's paying off. Was able to throw 225 on the bar and…

Why did they stop the linking to instagram? Makes no sense.

The ladies in this thread http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10315462/squat-bench-deadlift-snatch-c-j-post-your-best-videos#latest have all discussed this and it seems to be common. If you have specific questions ask one of the ladies directly by pm.

Been there, done that. Not with that kind of weight but with 405. Banged it out one week, next I was lucky to break the floor with 375. Sometimes "kitten" gets weird with the ol' body.
-
I agree! Speed off the floor was good and it was a complete smooth motion all the way to the top.

I appreciate the insight. I don't know (locally) many lifters and they guys on the forum I'm on haven't had shoulder surgery so I wasn't getting much first hand advice. Guy I'm seeing is the Dr that covers the KC Chiefs and Royals and interned way back with the Broncos. I'm hopeful he knows what he's doing. Deja vu.... I'm…

Thanks. Found out it's a partial tear in the rotator cuff and a SLAP tear. I've got an appointment with and Ortho surgeon in a few weeks. Guess it's time to up my squat game!
-
Ugh, no bench for the past 8 weeks. My best lift (tear). MRI tomorrow with injections for a contrast. Hope it's nothing more than inflammation.

My wife and I belong to one. We have the black card membership which is $20 per month because I travel and can go to any PF. If you're just wanting to hit some lifting and aerobics it's a good cheap place to go. Some don't agree with PF's advertising and the whole "lunk" alarm. Personally I don't really care. Equipment is…
