11 pounds! I'll take it. Now I'm thinking that I don't want to re-introduce anything quite yet. Except my birthday is tomorrow and a celebratory glass of wine might be consumed.

I'm on day 30 of the Whole30. I have found it to be really easy to follow. The first few days were kind of rough (missed milk in my tea most of all) and unless you are diligent about planning and prepping your meals it can get a bit boring. I wanted to say in response to the comments about dairy, legumes, etc. being part…

You look fabulous! Please please please let my arms look like that when I am done! :)

I'm 5'7" and started out at 225. Not exactly a girl anymore though.... :) It can be done. I've lost a little over 50 lbs. so far (started August 2012) and want to lose another 22-30 lbs.

That is fantastic! And good for you for tracking every little bite. It really does make you accountable, doesn't it?

I'm 52 and have 23 more to lose. 52 lbs. gone. It can be done!! I just sent you a friends request.

I worked out with a trainer for a year and his words to me were always "If it HURTS stop. If you are just UNCOMFORTABLE quit whining."

I'm 5'7". Started out at 225 in August, 2012. After picture is from last week after losing 50 lbs. I would like to lose 25 more.

I like the Special K cracker chips in Sea Salt. 30 "chips" for 110 calories. Sometimes you just need the crunch.

Bought my third size 10 pair of pants yesterday. I'm starting to realize it's a trend - not a fluke! Also pulling out older clothes that I haven't been able to wear for years because they were too small and now they fit and look great. I love reading NSV's!

Thank you everyone! I was going to add if anyone wants to add me as a friend feel free. I was also going to add that my eating philosophy is not to deny myself anything. I eat whatever I want - just not AS much as I want. This seems to work to keep me satisfied and not feel like I have to sacrifice anything. I also almost…

Use the bathroom, center scale over certain tile (thought I was the only one that did that!), strip nekkid, exhale, step on scale, hope for the best.

I prefer the street for the reasons mentioned by many already (mostly it's more interesting) but also because running on the treadmill hurts my hips. Not sure why, exactly, but running outside on the pavement or sidewalk doesn't. I'm also a bit phobic about running on the treadmill. I'm always sure I'm going to fly off it…

That is fantastic and very inspiring. And I love your statement at the end: Now matter how high the mountain is, you'll never reach the top if you don't start climbing!

Add on question - How exactly does strength training or lifting firm sagging skin? I see this advice all the time but can't wrap my mind around how it helps. I can see it firming up the underlying muscles but not the skin. Or is the idea that by strength training you will grow your muscles and it will fill out your sagging…

That is a fabulous NSV! I just recently moved out of the plus sized shops/departments into the scary world of regular sizes. Since I still have a bit to lose I've been buying my "interim" clothes at Old Navy, Target and NY&CO (great fitting jeans). Whenever I wander around the regular sized department I'm half expecting a…

I'm 52 and I have lost 39 lbs. since August 2012. I'm 5'7" and would like to lose another 35 lbs. or so. I keep slathering on Nivea firming lotion with the hopes that it will help with the sagging skin. I see a tummy tuck in my future though. I am hoping that after the initial weight loss that things will tighten up a bit.…

I did week 4 day 1 today. I took a week off last week because I had a little surgical procedure so when I started this week I repeated w3d3. I find that no matter what week or day I am on the first run is the hardest. The rest seem so much easier. I think my brain has figured out that my lungs aren't going to leap out of…

Congratulations! I like your simple, common sense approach.

That is wonderful! I especially love the before/after 5K pictures. You are an inspiration! (I'm working up to a 5K)

1 cup Corn Bran cereal, sliced banana and a 1/2 cup of almond milk

I pretty much eat what I want just not as MUCH as I want. That keeps me from feeling deprived or needing to 'cheat.' Sundays I tend to save my calories for Sunday Dinner (a big, weekly family event) where I know I'll want to eat more and have some wine. That helps give me a feeling like I am eating as much as I want for…

Raw sugar snap peas - 35 calories for a cup (satisfies that need for something crunchy....)

Bumping in case anyone has a suggestion.... thank you :)

Omigosh I totally get the not talking to anyone thing. I would do the same thing. I really notice my confidence level going way up even though I have a ways to go. My two NSV's this week are that 1.) My collar bones are back! Whoohooo! and 2.) I need new bras. The old ones are on the tightest hooks and they are still too…

Collar bones are back! Had to finally break down and buy a new bra today because my old ones don't fit.

I'm 52 and just started the Couch to 5k (I'm in week 2). Ten years ago I used to run 3-4 miles, four or five times a week. I started because I wanted to lose weight and once I got to the point where I could run three miles the weight just started falling off of me. I ended up losing 60 lbs. I'm hoping for similar results…
