@sashimimaniac I've been trying out the Obe fitness app for strength and dance and Aaptiv for stretching, yoga, strength.

I'm running about 20 miles a week and ramping up. I either run at 5a or 8p to avoid heat and people. I need accountability too, so feel free to friend me, too.

OK, I'm in. I want to lose 10-12 pounds total, so if I drop 8 pounds in the next 8 weeks, I'd be happy. 5'2" CW: 120 (6 May 2020) GW by 30 June: 112 GW: 108

Do you still drink protein/fruit smoothies? If so, I'd love to see what your recipes are. I'm trying to start drinking these shakes, just not sure if they will make me feel full.

Yes, but I'm in the North Bay. Perhaps we can sign up for the same local race? I'll send you a friend request.

Just sent you a message to add you as a friend.

Also, it's easier to lose weight while marathon training -- all those miles equal lots of calories expended!

I've run 5 marathons and a bunch of other distance races. Then I stopped running for a long while and just started running again. I'm 10 pounds over my race weight, so trying to lose that now. Aiming for a half this fall and a full Marathon next spring.

LOL! Grapefruit drizzled with honey does sound kind of yummy, though. Must try.

California. To qualify for the Boston Marathon within a year. Pretty lofty goal (just started running again -- I've finished 5 marathons with a PR of 3:56) as I'm at least 10 pounds over my race weight.

Added mine!

I don't need to lose 80 -- but I do need to lose 10 pounds. Would be happy to be an MFP friend -- I put on weight because of stress and too much work, and now I'm trying to lose 1 pound a week. While that sounds conservative, it's very hard for me to lose weight, so any and all support and motivation is super helpful. I'm…

Please add me. Just rejoined MFP today -- need to lose 10 pounds to get back into racing shape. Thanks.

Analeeswan, I am also 5'2" with a small frame and currently 117-118 lbs, too. I'd like to add you as a friend. Anyone else here, please feel free to add me, I'm trying to get back into MFP and would like the support and would like to support others.

There are these 100-calorie fruit/nut packs in the grocery store that are super-handy if a big glass (or two) of water doesn't work.

Infused vodka -- you get extra flavor but no extra calories. You can buy it or make your own. Here are directions to make several different kinds from Real Simple: Ingredients 1 liter vodka flavorings, such as 1½ cups fresh pineapple chunks, 4 vanilla beans, or 3 halved and seeded jalapeños glass bottles with tight seals…

LOL. Love this.

Does that keep you full enough until lunch?

My solution to this: Eat a Lean Cuisine for breakfast, plus coffee. I don't have time to make breakfast in the morning and I don't like to eat anything remotely sweet for my first meal of the day. The Lean Cuisines I turn to are meals such as the Lean Cuisine Comfort with glazed chicken breast. It comes with a small side…

This is a great idea - thank you so much for suggesting it! Now I have to go find them at my local Asian grocery store ...

i got my Charge HR in June and so far, so good. I'd like to have more Fitbit friends. Feel free to add me: https://www.fitbit.com/user/22QFBG.

That's awesome! I did back-to-back cardio classes today: a step class then a dance class. Doing OK on my food so far.

I'm also looking for an accountability partner. Looking to drop 10 pounds and run a fast marathon or half-marathon this year. Feel free to add me as a friend and/or message me. Thanks!

Hi ladies! Hello from northern California. Trying to get back into marathon shape, and would love some support and motivation. I'll do my best to support you as well; please add me if you need more motivation!

Pret a Manger! There are locations throughout the UK of this chain that only serves very fresh food with no chemicals or additives. Very yummy salads, soups and sushi, as well as sandwiches. The prices are also very reasonable.

Feel free to add me, and that goes for everyone on this thread! I figure all of us could use some encouragement! I have 5-10 pounds to lose, which everyone seems to scoff at, but it's true that the last 5 pounds are the hardest to lose!

Haha, I like the way you think! Yes, I agree that IF the OP is talking about plain iced tea that's home-brewed with no added sweeteners, then of course it will have zero calories and will have the same caloric effect as plain water. But bottled iced tea and other commercial iced tea almost alway has added stuff, and the…

That's a great idea! Thanks for the suggestion--I'll check it out. Are you doing this now? What's the experience been like?

Add me! I'm still in shock I'm now in this age group, but I want to be healthy until I keel over from old age!
