I don't see the problem. If anything, you won't gain or lose, just maintain. Try it for a week or two, and see how you feel. You might have more energy to do more of a workout, and lose in the end after all (no pun intended there, seriously). I just switched to a modified maintenance setting myself. I lost 40 lbs in 4…

I've gained my life back. I let myself go after some life issues sent me into a short-term depression. That led me to just say "meh, who cares" and I got lazy. Lost my wife over it. (yes, she actually refused to try to work on our real issues because she just wasn't attracted to fat me) Now, I'm back exercising and eating…

Nuts (for the fiber and protein as well) Olive Oil Grapeseed oil Fish Take an Omega-3 fish oil tab 2% milk. (2% is 120 cals, vs 90 cals in skim, yet you get beneficial fats from it for only 30 more calories) Edemame (soy beans). I get the single steamer bags from Sam's Club. Each bag is like 3/4 cups of beans, 150 cals,…

Milk, nuts, flax, and beef. Yes, beef. Beef is one of the highest sources of protein, and if you get lean cuts, not very high in calories or fat.

Ditto. Or find a park to stroll through. Having a pleasant setting makes it seem more like enjoyment rather than exercise. Plus, you spend time together, and can talk along the way. Before you know it, you have 30-6 mins of exercise out of the way, and it didn't even feel like exercise.

Both I and my g/f are feeling the benefits. I feel like a guy in his 20's again. I'm not as grouchy, don't snore anymore, and fidgety when I sit too long... Diet and exercise are much better than a trip to the doc for meds and shots to regain that youthful energy.

Try the liquid vitamins from a health food store. You can mix them with juice, or in a smoothie. Plus they are more easily absorbed in the body than pills.

I tried to pierce my own ear when I was 15. Ended up with a split chin instead....who would think a 120 lb kid could hit the bathroom sink that hard....lol

I tried something new recently with them. I took some orange blossom honey, some brown sugar, and cinnamon, mixed them together (you might have to heat the honey in microwave for 10-12 secs), then drizzled over the cut sweet potato. No butter or butter sub needed. Delicious. The orange blossom honey adds a great…

Looks tasty. Like another poster said, tho...might have to spice it up...a pinch of cayenne for me. I like some heat.

Did you watch the movie all the way through? He does not advocate eating McD's as a ay of life. He also didn't just eat all the fried foods off the menu. Nor does he ever claim to be a scientist. He had real scientists and nutritionists provide their expertise. What he did set out to prove is that there is more to the…

A lot of folks are afraid to do chicken breasts for fear of dryness. Here is one of my favorite methods to keep them moist: Make a homemade balsamic/oil dressing. Or use the light (not fat-free) comercial dressings from the grocery store. Throw up to 4 boneless, skinless breasts in a bag with the dressing and let them soak…

This sounds awesome. Gonna try t this weekend.

Ok, from a guy POV, you look great. You are a pretty young woman, with a nice figure, at least from what the pictures show. I think more of the issue is stress. You are trying to do too much at once. You look great as you are now. Focus more on school and your beautiful baby girl. Maybe once you de-stress about the food…

GI. Main reason. It doesn't spike your blood-sugar levels like table sugar does.

My poor bikes started crying when I got them out of the shed and tuned them up this year. I think they were tears of joy, because we missed each other so much after 2-3 yrs of neglect... Nothing beats the time in the saddle, whether roadie or off-road (can't call it Mtn Biking here in flat Florida...hehe)

Spinach. One of those pre-packed bags has about 40-50 calories. Broccoli, about 2 cups, steamed, has about 50 calories.

Not counting those who walk for "legal" reasons (i.e. the state asked them not to drive for awhile...lol), how many overweight daily walkers do you see? I'm talking about those who are out every morning or evening, gettin' it, with a good giddy-up in their step? Not too many, unless they are part of this group (the…

I smoke my wings. I soak them overnight in a spicy marinade, then I throw them on the smoker for about an hour. I then shove them in the oven under the broiler for about 5-7 minutes to crisp them up. In the meantime, I take the marinade (yes, the same that the raw chicken was in) and bring it to a boil, then simmer and…

Ol' George has a great cookbook just for that; "The Lean Mean Fat-reducing Grilling Machine Cookbook" The recipes are all made for the grilling machine, regardless of the size.

Use the goals to set up your calorie deficits, and log everything. Tell it your current weight, and how much/week you want to lose. It'll do the math for you, and tell you how much you can eat. If you exercise, it'll tell you how much extra you can eat and still lose at a rate of 2.5 lbs/wk
-
As for resetting your goals, YES! I just clicked off my current loss/week goal, then back...the daily calorie numbers completely changed based on my current weight input. I would do that every month to "recalibrate" MFPs deficit numbers.

Huh? Apples, grapes, bananas, oranges, carrots...those are hard to find? It's ll about molding their minds as to what a snack food is...

Wow! you look like a totally different person. Great job.

My ex-wife, right before she left: "I just don't find you attractive. You got fat, and you disgust me" She was borderline obese, by the BMI scale, as well, but that was beside the point. 36lbs down, she keeps remarking how great I look now whenever I go pick up my son...how I looked when we met...

Here's the one I made recently. Since I live alone, I use the bagged veggies for portion-convenience. Makes about 7 servings. Publix - Coleslaw (Mix), 1 container (7.5 cups ea.) Apple Cider Vinegar, 4 Tbsp. Sun Crystals Granulated Blend, 3 tsp Kraft - Miracle Whip- Fat Free, 4 tablespoon Diamond Crystal - Kosher Salt 1/4…

This might sound counter-intuitive, but use warm water instead of cold. Warm water makes the oils more solvent and washes them away quicker

We went through this in '95 as well. That time it lasted 3 weeks, over Christmas. Most creditors, landlords, etc are sympathetic to the situation. It sucked then, it sucks now. However, things will work out. As for credit/finances, your security clearance won't be affected like you think. Yes, you might pay some late fees,…

GNC triple strength fish oil cap is an unflavored gelcap. No aftertaste, or fishy smell via sweat. Slightly bigger than a multi, in size.
