It could take a while for you to get used to it. Actually, you can't really count your cals for the rest of your life, but I have read about people that learn what to eat so that they don't have to constantly log all of their food and exercise. I think you should try to make it more fun for yourself instead of thinking of…

I'm not completely sure what you mean, but if you mean should you eat enough cals to reach your 1700 goal, then yes. You want to make sure, like I said, that your net cals equal your daily goal, especially if you exercise because that is energy that you need back. So you should eat some of the exercise cals back, at least…

You basically need to eat the cals to where your net cals (cals eaten-cals burned) equals your daily goal. I really suggest using this website (http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_calculator.htm) to try to find a proper cal intake so that you make sure you are getting the right amount since you exercise vigoursly.…

You may need more cals in your diet. MFP only puts 1200 on there as the absolute minimum, which is way to extreme for most bodies, especially if you exercise. I had to raise my cals by about 200 (from 1400) just because I exercise everyday. Your body is quite possibly throwing you into starvation mode (YES IT IS A REAL…

Actually, This seems to be a seriously debatable topic that I keep running into. You ABSOLUTELY NEED TO EAT THE CALS YOU BURN!!!! Good gracious!!! I CANNOT stress this enough!! You need to make sure that your net cals equal your cal goal, so if you burn off some cals, but are still under your goal for net cals, EAT…

Haha, thx:) I didn't mean for it to be funny, just telling what I think :P

Listening to your body means that you put all aspects into perspective. Technically, your brain IS part of your body. You have to listen to your body as a whole, which means if you get hungry and need something to eat, then use your brain/common sense to find something healthy and good for you. Your brain is actually doing…

I actually just read something where muscle does burn more cals vs. fat, but it is only a slight difference. Also, if you really want to burn fat, it has to be cardio because strength training won't burn NEARLY as many cals as cardio (there's like a 300 cal diff. in general). You can try researching trusty worthy websites…

You definately need to tone your tummy if you want it to look awesome. Actually, until very recently, I didn't know that when you do sit ups and stuff, you aren't burning fat. You can build up all you want with your muscle, but unless you actually do aerobic exercises and burn fat, you'll never see your buff muscles.

I've never heard of that, but the perimenepausal hormone shift I have heard. Basically, my mom had the same problem (night sweats, mood swings, etc...) starting in her mid-30s and it's not like you are actually going through menopause, your body is just preparing you for it. It can start happening around your early…

Definately not good for you if you only eat 500 cals a day. 1200 is the absolute min.!!!!! and even this amount is extremely low. Not to mention, if you have to use artificial substances to try to lose large amounts of weight, it is soo not worth it because you can end up hurting yourself and damaging your body.

That's good. I actually joined this site for the cals at first, but then found out that it doesn't really matter to eat seriously-low cal amounts and I just try to make sure that I keep the amount of food I eat in check every day. I sorta wrote this post because I was so upset with the huge numbers of ppl that think its ok…

I actually had this feeling you were talking about night sweats (not anything nasty). But um....as almost-embarrassed as I am to admit it, I do sweat at night, but not like soaking wet. I will wake up though finding that my clothes are moist, which I find to be sort of weird and kinda gross X(

Even if the starvation mode is a myth, it is still seriously dangerous not to eat enough calories. Ask a health professional if you're really confused about the subject, but it is very dangerous to think that you can eat less than 1200 cals a day and still be ok. Actually, you just need to make sure that your meals are…

I'm sorry about all of this negativity around you. Maybe try finding some positive friends that you can spend time around to uplift you and your goals. As for your mother, there may be some underlying reason she is pushing you. Maybe she wants you to lose the weight too but says it in the form of "needing to take classes".…

It's really important that you try to eat during your waking hours because you burn more calories then instead of when your body is preparing for sleep mode (at night) so you could gain weight if you eat late. However, since you work at night, I would say maybe having some snacks here and there would be ok. You also really…

I guess that this is sort of a debatable topic. However, YOU REALLY NEED TO EAT THE CALORIES!!! Your net calories should equal your goal of calories per day. Your body burns all of these cals off and you have to replenish them if you want to keep your energy up. I actually have the same problem of consuming too few…

Hey there! For me, I just try to stick to my plan as much as i can nd I wont get at myself if i eat too much or something (we're only human!). For when ur at home, why not try exercising or finding some friends to exercise with. It can be as simple as taking a nice walk. nd if u get hungry just grab a snack like fruit or…

Thx for the advice. The workouts r confusing too tho nd i dnt want to just do sit-ups nd push-ups every other day bt i also don't have access to weights (except for 2 pairs of dumbells). I guess if i think it ovr, finding out which muscle groups to work (nd how) w/o getting bored is also kinda hard nd, like i said, the…
