  • http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oral_allergy_syndrome OAS produces symptoms when an affected person eats certain fruits, vegetables and nuts. Some individuals may only show allergy to only one particular food, and others may show an allergic response to many foods.[8] Individuals with an allergy to tree pollen may develop OAS…
  • I'm also very allergic to most fruits, so it's a real allergy. Do you have seasonal allergies? There is a syndrome thats caused by having intense seasonal allergies, specifically when you are highly allergic to birch or sage. They have a very similar protein that matches and our body thinks its the allergen. I'm allergic…
  • Thats awesome!
  • That's a good success! I bought several pairs of stretchy pants, yoga pants and jeggings and those are the only things that look good on me. I'm swimming in my size 14's.. it's a good feeling!! Check TJ Maxx, Marshalls, or one of the discount stores.
  • I just read the thigh gap has more to do with your structure and how wide your hips are built anyway, so even if you slim down there is a good chance you still won't get that gap unless you are too skinny. It's an unrealistic picture of what the media says we need to be. Don't fall for it.
  • I bought size MEDIUM dresses from a teen clothing store. Isn't that like adult size small? LOL
  • wow, I'm impressed with your will power! I totally fell off the wagon for the WHOLE weekend, when in fact I should have been strict on Fri and Saturday knowing full well I have no will power and will eat during the superbowl parties. I ate and ate, even had two sodas, and a sugary alcoholic drink. Today I felt so bloated…
  • I get this from time to time… often times its due to one of the following: 1. not enough sleep - insomnia or staying up too late the night before 2. not eating enough, particularly carbs, before my workout. (if I eat just my 2 hardboiled eggs, but not a piece of fruit or something that can give me quicker energy for…
  • Thank you all so much! I'm thinking I need to find a new doc as mine doesn't seem to be as concerned to check levels as often. I will be demanding a blood test right away - hopefully today. I wish it were more B&W. however it's encouraging that this can be dealt with and figured out. I'm thankful that I am feeling better…
  • You have to do this for yourself. I have learned that this time around. My husband told me the other day he loves/likes me no matter my size. Hard that no one notices though - I totally get it. No one notices me either and I sometimes crave that someone will notice at home. In fact just yesterday my hair dresser commented…
  • I can wear my wedding ring again! I'm super happy about that.
  • paying me to lose weight would most likely backfire, as I can't be pushed or even suggested to me - I'm very stubborn that way. But I have a hard time taking compliments too. but we are talking about booking a vacation and I suggested we wait until I'm nearer to my goal weight… It's my own incentive. He was frustrated I…
  • Way to go! You look amazing. Nice to see someone with virtually the same goals and body shape. Very inspiring!
  • I just gave in and bought at A cup bra. :( Mine are shrinking big time.
  • I'm new to being diagnosed with hashimotos. Currently I'm on Armour (2 grains) and feeling so much better. I had no idea how horrible I felt overall. My skin, hair, fatigue, memory, energy… everything has improved as I know you have all probably felt that improvement after diagnosis. I workout (crossfit) three times per…
  • I started feeling worse and worse, no energy. I look frumpy in my clothes. My husband made comments about my eating habits (although, truthfully I didn't eat that badly) and looks (stares) at other women who are much thinner. Diagnosed with hypothyroid, and finally feeling back to normal after a year of searching what was…
  • Hi! I'm 40 and mom of 2. I lost about 5 lbs when I started working out about 3 years ago, found MFP but never got all that serious. So my starting weight is from three years ago which never moved anywhere. I hit a plateau after losing a few more pounds doing a 30 day food challenge, but gained it all back last summer. Now…
  • I just about the same as you… If you are just starting to work out regular, as something brand new jan 1st, you might have some inflammation and keeping some water weight. Give your body some time to adjust to the workout routine and watch your salt intake, drink more water. I find that I have a 2-3 pound variance from day…
  • I bet it depends on the brand and how high/low your pants are but I bet you could get into smaller. I think about that with my bra size… I feel like I don't have much fat to lose around my chest (gravity is working to keep all my fat on my lower half, lol) so I often wonder if I'll ever be able to go below 36 bra size -…
  • Hi! I'm 5'3 and currently 154… I started losing weight again in Oct after being gone from here for over a year, and was diagnosed with hypothyroid and being stuck at a frustrating 160 plateau for over a year, now I'm finally seeing results. My goal weight is 135 and then I'll see where I'm at once there. I was 125 in…
  • I'm 5'3" HW was 173 CW is 155 GW around 135 then I'll see how far I can go. I was about 125-135 in college and felt good then. Would love to fit in a size 6 or 8… currently wearing a 12 or tight 10. Not sure of my measurements.
