Can you recommend any websites so I can find out what’s best for me? Thanks

Thank you this is really helpful. I’m going to set my calorie intake to 2000 and be really honest when completing my food diary! Let’s do this!!!

Hi I have been struck down with a water infection which is making my kidneys extremely painful. I feel like someone has just taken all of my energy as it's taking me all my effort to come to work every day. I know exactly how your feel. The only thing you can do is once you are feeling better, draw a line and start again,…

thank you :-)

Brilliant - we're in the same boat so can help each other through "those" moments!!! :-)

thanks for all your replies folks it's much appreciated. So here's the action plan: 1) weigh and measure in far more detail every single thing which goes in my mouth; 2) drink more water (I've only drink no sugar squash after 2.30pm, no more tea or coffee); 3) eat back my exercise calories. I will keep going, keep logging,…

Hi from the West Midlands I've re-joined and am into my second week. It's a great support and motivation being on here, the people are lovely. Feel free to add me too. Good luck and enjoy - it's a great journey!!! Justine :-)

Hi I'm UK based, West Midlands to be precise :-). Feel free to add me. I log every day - I've been back on here just 10 days as I really want to lose 2 stone. I'm also training for a 26 mile 'moonwalk' in London on 10 May - it's a midnight (not walking in the style of Michael Jackson)! I regularly exercise including…

Hi I know exactly what you mean, and although I can't give you any advice as I 'm going through this too, I'd like to see if anyone can help you. You're not on your own, there are others going through the same as you are. I was researching a low carb diet, but I didn't know if that was the right way to go, or just stick…

Hi I'm the same height and have about the same amount to lose. MFP calculations have put me at 1200 a day which is tough going but manageable. I've played around all year trying to lose weight but not really made the commitment I should have done. I'm going to stick with 1200 a day and see what sort of loss I see. I'm also…

Hi everyone I ran 2 miles yesterday (first one in 8 weeks!) and will be spinning after work tonight! Have a good day :-)
-
What a brilliant response you've had. I'm a recent re-joiner, so feel free to add me too. I'm in the West Midlands. If anyone else wants to add me, please feel free :-) Good luck - with all this support you'll be flying!!!

Hi Sharon Welcome to MFP! There is a brilliant community on here and everyone is very willing to give sound advice and support when it's needed the most. You've had some excellent responses, so you can do this. I've re-joined today and am determined to lose weight too. You can do this! Everyone is here to support you. Feel…

Thanks MissB46. There is a kettlebell class at the leisure centre where I do spinning, so I will have to give it a go. I saw a bit of it through the window last week and I must admit, it scared me a little. However, I'll give it a go! thanks :-)
-
I did a 9.6 mile walk yesterday and I really ache today - my back and hips are very sore. My plan was to do an extreme spin class after work, but I think I need to rest. I'll be doing a zumba class tomorrow!
-
Hi I'm from Halesowen, feel free to add me too :-) Welcome and good luck!
-
thank you ALL so much for your brilliant advice. Over this last weekend, I've come to the realization that I really don't like what looks back at me in the mirror and I have to do something about it instead of moaning! So, the line has been drawn (I don't know how many times I've said this!), I've revised what I eat and…

Oooo add me too if you like. I've also failed at SW (I thought it was just me who struggled with it so am please - in a nice way of course- that I'm not alone!) I'm back on MFP today and have logged everything I've eaten and plan to eat plus including the zumba class I'm going to after work. Feel free to snoop in my diary…

OMG what a naughty weekend!!! I'm not alone (which I'm pleased about!) I wasn't horrendously bad, but I did have food I perhaps shouldn't have had. I only managed one lot of 100 crunches on Sunday morning, and haven't been out running either. So!! Today is a new day, I've planned all my food for the week, I've planned all…

thanks everyone - it's more than helpful advice, and I'm restraining myself and planning out some healthy meals. I can't wait to get married and am off dress shopping tomorrow. As we say in the West Midlands "on it, like a car bonnet"!!! :-)
-
I'm also a late arrival! I did a 1.5 mile run yesterday (returning from a mild achillies injury), plus I logged all my food and hit the water target (yeah!!). I didn't do the crunches though. I will do the 100 crunches after work today and do the water target too. My tip for drinking water is that I don't have any hot…

I've just asked to be added - it looks like the kind of challenge I need and I'm ready for it!!! thanks :-)
-
Hi Pam Is it too late to join your challenge? I'm getting married on 30 November and need to lose a stone. I am at work at the moment so I can't weigh myself in but I'm about 175 lbs. I've had a little look through the threads and have sort of assumed we need to drink loads of water and do stomach crunches, plus all the…

Good answer!! Thanks - I'm going for a run after work for DEFFO!!!! :-)
