  • Agreed! I've done the job as well. I think you might have adjusted a bit if you put in your correct profession and I wouldn't eat those extra calories myself but I'm also a novice here so...
  • Almost all the water I drink has a slice or two of lemon in it for flavor. I don't think the lemon causes weigh loss as much as the water does. Bob Harper says to drink a full glass of water first thing in the morning and then again with every meal. That makes sense because it will help you feel full plus keep you hydrated…
  • Congratulations! You look great and happy :)
  • Hi I'm Christina. I'm 44 years old and have about 66 pounds to lose. I'm a single mother with a young, active and fit daughter. I wish I had her motivation actually... I've done just about every 'plan' you could imagine short of weight loss surgery and am really looking for a lifestyle change. I'm not getting any younger…
  • I'm sorry for your loss! I bet some of that weight is just retained water. I swell up a lot when I fly...
  • Yes! I bought mine from amazon. I love to mix it into my oatbran when it's not 2 million degrees out... I've never actually reconstituted it because I'm not a huge PB eater. Mostly use it as stated above (on the recommendation of a nutritionist)
  • I actually double bra a lot. I'll wear a normal one and then a compression sports bra on top. It doesn't work with many outfits and isn't the prettiest of looks but compared to the alternative...
  • I can't make suggestions for recipe sites per se (I'm an avid cook and I usually look on all the regular sites like smittenkitchen.com etc then modify those recipes to be more healthy) but I can make a suggestion on a protein shake. I personally really like the Lean 25 powder from GNC. One shake has 25 grams of protein 8…
  • Wow. How was the party? Did you have an awesome time? Did you drink awesome shooters and listen to awesome music and then just sit around and soak up each others awesomeness? Have a Kalteen bar. I hear they're great for weight loss...
  • I'm trying the Garcinia Cambogia simply because its supposed to up the Serotonin in the brain and I think that could help me 'feel better' and thus have less of a difficult time doing the right things for myself. I don't think it will be a miracle appetite suppressant for anyone but if I had to guess, that Serotonin effect…
  • Why yes I am! Thanks for asking LOL I'm more than happy to have as many friends as possible and I'm determined to be accountable and make a long term change in my life. Feel free to friend me anyone!
  • I have ADD and must take medicine on the days I work or I'll be a hot mess and I think that's what causes the upset. Not always though. I'm pretty good about taking it with food etc but there are just some days that it doesn't seem to sit right... could be mild dehydration too. In any case, once it starts I'm not really up…
  • I have a nook but never use it. I wish i'd gotten the kindle because where I live you can borrow kindle books from the library. Still not available for Nook. Well you can borrow an Adobe E-book and do some heavy aerobics to import it to the Nook but it's much easier to do the Kindle library books.
  • I live outside of Boston and it's WICKED HOT! LOL couldn't help myself. My daughter's cheerleading team has camp all day tomorrow and Saturday (8 hours per day) and it's going to be nearly 100 outside which means 110- 120 inside. And yet, those kids wouldn't trade it for the world. I try to draft off their motivation!
  • I've discovered a new love for Mall Walking. I know it might sound lame but I'm really enjoying it! Near me the indoor malls all have early morning programs which gets my walk "out of the way" early. They don't crank up the AC until later in the day but its still much cooler and less humid than outside. There are others…
  • I've had that happen to me as well. Wine is my achilles heel. A particularly bad day combined with fun shows on the DVR and I've been known to finish a bottle of Chardonnay by myself! The only way I know to avoid it is to abstain. I don't mean every day but I'm working toward only having wine on the weekends!
  • Thank you for the advice. I'm at the beginning of my journey and while it was hard (very hard!) I just took some before pictures. Not only will I be happy later when I can look back at where I started, but it also showed me that I really do need to make drastic changes. Avoiding pictures and mirrors has given me a…
  • Depends on how long you want the 30 pounds to stay away! If you go drastic and try to drop it fast I guarantee you will fall off the wagon and next thing you know, you'll be back where you started. Invest time in yourself and lose healthy. It takes longer but you have a better chance of keeping it off!
  • So inspiring! You really are a hero to me. While I've never suffered a blood clot (thank goodness) it is a true possibility for me as I have a genetic clotting disorder (FVL). I never want to suffer a severe clot and that's also a motivator for me to lose my 66 pounds. Congrats! Congrats! Congrats!
  • From my experience, the best tip is to constantly be thinking of pulling your belly button to your spine. Some people do the opposite and push out their belly when doing sit ups etc which causes the muscles to develop differently. Pulling in while you sit up will give a more pleasing result IMO
  • Thank you for this thought. Just for today I'll skip my end-of-the-day glass of wine that has been known to turn into two or three on occasion.
  • I like the Muscle Milk in a pinch but my favorite is the GNC Lean 25 powder. I have a concoction I make for breakfast to start my day off that's one scoop vanilla powder, one scoop chocolate powder, ice and plain black coffee. It tastes like Mocha to me and I'm happy to drink it. Any of these shakes are better than…
  • Trust me, I know how you feel. But I'm 44 years old and I can tell you from many years of experience that unless you make a long term plan to fix the problems that got you here, you won't solve the problem. Starving yourself, overexercising or following any super restrictive diet plan might get you skinny faster but the…
  • I'd love some new friends too! I'm a 44 year old single mom who has 66 (yikes!) pounds to lose to achieve the weight I'd like to maintain for the rest of my life. My job is at a computer and my lifestyle was sedentary- possibly worse than sedentary- as was so rudely demonstrated when WW's activity monitor twice failed to…
