If you are doing Atkins how are you not eating enough? Atkins is all about higher fat foods and usually means high calories too? I pretty much live Atkins and rarely have an issue? All you have to do is add a serving of cheese or peanut butter or nuts and thats about 200 calories :) Hope that helps! With Atkins counting…

HI, I bought the heart rate montor that Walmart sells for $50, it includes the wrist band and the chest strap. I didn't want to spend a lot and all the ones I saw were $80-$150. I have been using it now for about a year and LOVE it! Battery is still good, never have any problems with it and set up was easy!

Be careful. By not eating for days, you put yout bodu into starvation mode, so the things you begin to eat when you are done your body will hold onto like glue. This is not a smart idea..... Just saying.... Try one that at least allows fruit and veggies... at least this way your body still has to metabolise something! Be…

The biggest concern wih NOT eating them back...don't go below 1200 NET a day. It defeats the purpose as then you begin to put your body into starvation mode. It is not healthy. Plus that is when you feel weak and lathargic! Hope this helps!

We did it and love it! Our was long and narrow so we took half and put in a weight pulley system machine and my new treadmill! (I hate running in the cold) It was the bst move ever! Can watch TV still be part of the family, yet work out!

It is harder to do it the traditional way. It took me a year almost to lose the last 10lbs but I did. I still flux about 5lbs up and down, but that is what I call SUCESS. I have run several 5K's, they range from 30:33 to 36 due to the different courses they are on...we are soon starting our 2nd year of them on the same courses so that will better tell me if I got faster, but my home loop I do is 2.59 and I was 34 and now I am under 26 so.....I average about 10:30/mile on a good day :)

If you google it there are several sites that teach you how to use your own body weight as strength training. I rarely use weights but I stay pretty muscular. Good luck :) And GREAT JOB!!!!

Yes, the BMR calculation was taking into account your work out. So yes, the 1000 deficit is correct. However I find that sometimes the calculations are a tad overshot. Mine says about 1900 a day, but that causes me to gain, so I stick with about 1500-1600 for maintenance. Shoot for 1800, if your not losing, then deduct…

To me they are about the same, however to me the books are better, as they come with a story, and not some cheezy guy deliveing pizza getting molested by the girl who answers the door. There is a differnce between PORN and EROTICA..... but the books leave more to the imagination too.... :)

I had mine removed on March 8th and went back to 100% normal diet with no issues. In fact I was able to eat foods I couldn't prior cuz of the pain. From what I was told everyone is diff in how they react after the surgery.

There was a story locally here too about an ex-marine who was always in shape and due to health let it go, and now in his 80's he is hitting the gym 5 days a week...Love stories like that! :) Great post!!

Agreed!!!! The right running shoe should not really even be felt. Having the wrong arch can Kill you run!!! I did and it was too high causing all my pain. f they hurt, take them back.

Yes, they type of shoe matters 100%!!! I was experiencing knee and hip pain no matter the distance, then I got fitted at a special running store and now I am pain free.
