I'm reading "Crazy Love" by Francis Chan. He's a Pastor in Southern Cali. It's an AMAZING book!

Are you talking REAL food fight? My brother and I used to spit watermelon seeds at each other! (gross, I know!) My high school had a food fight once. Someone was made at someone else and threw food on them. It broke out into a HUGE mess. (they had to clean it up!) You're doing great...watching what you eat is so crucial! :)

Hi! I'm learning a lot about eating better. I grew up in the south with fried foods and sweet tea-the kind of tea that turned into syrup the next day (no joke). I've come to LOVE raw foods, grains, and exercise! I know you can too! :)

You can do anything you set your mind to! Feel free to add me I'd love to support you!

Well done! I bet you feel invincible!

I love it! I use fat-free vanilla yogurt or strawberry flavored in my smoothies. I add 1/2 a scoop of protein powder, frozen strawberries, frozen blueberries, 1/2 a banana, skim milk, and a tbsp of sorbet (pomegranate). It's delicious!

You can add me! :)

HI! Welcome! Feel free to befriend me! I find the gym expensive, too, so I make it a point to be outside! I am fortunate to live near hills/mountains AND the beach so I try to work out on these often! I don't know where you live but there usually are local pools you can swim laps for free (or a small fee). Swimming is…

Hey. I don't understand why you have the cravings. For me, however, it began when I was a kid. Every night, as a family, we would have some sort of dessert (and being raised in South Carolina the dessert wasn't healthy). And since then I've always wanted the 2 scoops of ice cream or cookies (or both). I've heard that Dark…

I personally like it. I like that you can make it work for you (moderate or more intense)! Anything to get me moving, keep me focused, and help me lose weight and tone is good!! :) Hope you like it.

Hi. Sorry you're having a hard time. I have a family of 4 and we spend around $400 (or less) a month (including diapers and occasional eating out). I recommend couponmom.com (she has great tips for your state and a video that helps get the concept of saving money. I save about 1/3 of my total grocery bill by getting on…

A lot of produce isn't the best either. It's not picked when it's ripe and it's boxed, shipped, etc. By the time we eat it most nutrients and gone (aka: dead). I can't wait to have my own garden and fruit trees.

Thanks for posting that! I can't wait to have a before/after pic! :o)

Hi Lynn. I don't know how much help I can be...but you can definitely talk to me and we can "push" each other. I have 35 pounds to lose. I used to be a smoker, too. I know you can do it!

I'd love to be you MFP friend. We can encourage each other! :o) It's never easy to change habits but the more you hold yourself accountable and surround yourself with people who love and encourage you...you will succeed! Your life is important and change can happen one small step at a time!

Hi! You can add me too! I have a 4 year old and a 2 year old! I'm trying to lose 35 pounds and just get healthy! I could use your motivation, as well!

I'm the same way and still trying to change my taste buds. Sugarfree gum helps. I know it's not the best for you or your teeth...but it helps keep out the wrong foods!

Thanks for sharing that. It's very eye-opening and sad. I hope the truth gets out before more harm is done.

Azdak- I think most of my savings come from household items and baby products more than food. However, I do find some good sales AND coupons. Sometimes I find produce on sale then the store will have a 75 cent off coupon for any produce...things like that HELP a lot! It's all about patience and looking for what works for…

Hi. I coupon! I save 1/3 or more of my original bill (My last shopping experience I spend 268 and saved 100! These groceries will last about 3 weeks!) I shop where I can get almost double the amount of the coupons. Coupons.com, Couponmom.com, frugalgirls.com are all great resources for coupons, freebies, samples, etc! I…

You're going to do great! You can add me as a friend if you want!! As a single mom life is challenging enough without having the added burden of trying to loose weight. I cheer you on 100%!

Just an added bonus: Shop at places that will DOUBLE your coupons. Ralphs will round up coupons to $1.00 off (if it's $25 off, they'll make it $1 off). Some places, Publix for example, will double you coupons (up to a certain amount)! For some other tips you can check out Momadvice.com! Amy has some super frugal and…

Great question....I've been wondering the same thing! :o)

Hi. I have a question for you Moms. I am nursing my 2 year old son (only at nights...but he still nurses approx. every 3-4 hours). I am currently on a 1,210 calorie/day "diet" and I usually (with exercise) am under my calorie intake. I'm wondering if my milk if affected by this. He seems to still enjoy nursing (I think…

I have the same problems. This is the longest I've stayed motivated (about 4 weeks). But I think it's because I have a long-term goal that I have to PUSH myself toward if I want to succeed. I'm running a 1/2 marathon in October. I'm not a runner plus I had asthma and was a smoker...these things just make me push harder.…

Maybe you can "reward" (it sounds silly to call an unhealthy, fattening drink a reward...but you get the idea!!) yourself at the end of the week with 1 soda? Little perks can be helpful and motivating! (My addiction is chocolate! I try to do the same thing...it's hard...but it can be done)!

Fantastic! What an encouraging story!

It is tasty...just don't forget to wash the mint! I forgot to mention that. Pesticides and other chemicals cause weight gain...so wash WELL! <3
