  • I am an Art Teacher for Middle School and Pre-K(Art Ed. is what I went to school for!) . Also, since I work in a small school, to keep me busy and full time, I am also the following: Special Education Aide for K-12; Prek,Kindergarten and 1st grade reading aide; Middle School and High School At-Risk aide and RTI (response…
  • I make an effort to avoid the added sugars for the most part. But, if I want a piece of chocolate, or cookie or something every once in a while, I will! I am not physically able to give up my chocolate forever. Can't-WON'T! Lol, but I figure as long as it is not a part of my daily diet, it really can't be that big of a…
  • 5'9" checking in! I am about 231 lbs now. At my thinnest I was 145 (in high school). I was told all the time to eat something....and that I was too skinny. the last time I was happy with my weight I was about 155-160. This is what I am aiming for. I currently wear a size 15/16 pants, when I was 145 I wore a 9/10. I have to…
  • Tell them they need to be ready when you are, or they are not coming with you. Bottom line! If they need to make it to the gym, and want to go as badly as you do, they will get their butts in gear!
  • You can always give yourself a pedicure! You can get all the supplies you need yourself! You can also get some vitamin-enriched nail polishes to help with your nail issues. But I agree with the rest of the posters, you need to figure out why! Maybe see a podiatrist?
  • I like to make brown rice, throw a can of chickpeas in, some frozen chopped spinach (or fresh if i have it), some garlic, and chicken. LOADED with protein :)
  • I am also 29, and I have about 80lbs to lose. I have been overweight most of my adult life. It reached its peak early this year, and after yo-yoing for years, I am back at it. I am trying my best, but still have my off days. I just need to get better about picking myself back up after I have fallen. I have lost 11lbs…
  • I think we all know we are fully capable of weightloss, fitness, health ect.... We just need to make the decision to get the heck out of our own way, and stop making excuses for why you can't.
  • I say eat when you are hungry. I spread my calories out, because I would be ready to chew my own arm off if I waited until dinner time!! I also find that if I eat throughout the day when I am hungry, I am less likely to binge and get out of control later :embarassed:
  • I love cauliflower, and will not tolerate cauliflower haters.
  • Love, love, loved these things!!
  • Why in gods name did I click on this!? Now I want a peanut butter cup blizzard :grumble:
  • bump--gonna watch this after work! Thanks for sharing!
  • I would try to separate the servings into 5 containers evenly. I have a kitchen scale, and that helps me. I never end up with the EXACT amount "cup-wise" when I make pasta, rice or whatever, so I usually just take the whole amount and divide into servings right away. Also helps keep me from taking seconds
  • FR sent! You are on the right path here! :drinker:
  • I have a Body Media Link, and some days, it says I have burned over 3,000 calories (I am also 234lbs....). Those are my workout days, more like 2500-2600 on normal days. Even the body media website says that these things are ABOUT 90% accurate. So, I have to figure that this thing might be off by 200-300 calories. If you…
  • W-O-W. You are a stunner! You should be very proud of your hard work! Makes me wanna post my own story, with killer abs like that! Hopefully I will, somewhere down the road!
  • Thank you for sharing. You are an inspiration to us all!
  • You know you can eat more than 1200 cals right? Look into the TDEE plan....also....you consumed a lot of carbs so far today....start filling up on fruits and veggies, and lean protein.
  • I don't want anything to do with the cheating man. Would just love to see the jaw drop, and knowing that he'll never have me!
  • I want to rock a hot body in front of the guy who made me feel like *kitten* for years for not being perfect, and ultimately cheated on me.
  • I hear ya! My sister and I may as well be adopted siblings for all of our differences! My sister is 5'4", petite, and athletic...even after 4 children she looks great. I am 5'9", bigger boned, no children....and fat anyway. But I got the hair, long and thick, and the big eyes. Still wish I was the petite one!

  • I see on a previous post you mention binge eating. Are you tracking those days as well? If not, maybe you should. It can help you see that any deficit you might be creating over the week, can easily be undone on a binge day. Maybe if you set aside one meal a week that you would consider a "cheat meal", you can limit this…
  • I have a hard time getting out of bed, and if I am going to get in a workout, that is my only chance! I just know that the rest of my day is going to be so much better if I do. I feel like I have more energy to get through the day, and its a little extra motivation to eat right. (I do not want to totally negate my workout…
  • headed to amazon right now! It takes me forever to chop all my ingredients! Thanks! :drinker:
  • I'm not that picky  Either one will do
  • I make rice with chicken broth, add some chopped garlic, chopped spinach and a can of rinsed chick peas, and sometimes I add diced chicken. It's a nice little meal!

  • I'm terrible at this as well. I just know that if I don't get my workout in early, it's not happening! I'm usually tired, and have loads I need to accomplish when I get home. I am also not a morning person, and I easily slap the snooze button 4 or 5 times! So this is what I did... *Set my alarm in the hallway outside my…
  • Just sent a request! Best of luck!
