Thanks for this post. This has helped me understand much more what my fitbit is doing. I was also able to calc my avg TDEE (used 7 weeks avg daily calories burned per my fitbit). My question is now that I have that number do I do anything here on MFP to update it to the more accurate TDEE? Then to lose ~1.5 lbs a week take…

Ditto what everyone else said. But it may help you to take your measurements now and then even if you can't see a difference you will be able to see a difference in the measurements over time.

This is what I have been doing as well. Its been working so far, may need to adjust as I get closer to goal, but I have a long ways to go.

I weigh in daily every morning before my shower. I have a Fitbit Aria scale so it automatically syncs and records it for me. I don't worry about small fluctuations just trends overall. I also WI weekly at my WW meeting.

This is me as well. WW has been working well for me, but I just started this again as well to help double track. Also paying for WW helps keep me accountable.
