Yesterday I put 2 frozen chicken breasts and 2 frozen chicken thighs into the crockpot with 1/2 can of fire roasted tomatoes, onion powder, garlic powder, chili powder, and cumin. Cooked on low all day and as someone said above it just falls apart. I put it on a tortilla with sauteed peppers and onions, and today brought…

I'm with you OP. The mindless tedium of a desk job gives me the munchies. On the weekend I'm too busy running around to snack.

Look at him for a second, then ask him what I ask my kids when I want them to get lost: "Do you need something to do?"

My husband thinks that multivitamins are a complete ripoff. I think they're like an insurance policy: if you eat balanced meals that fill the majority of your nutrition needs, a vitamin can fill in some of the gaps...just don't rely on them to do all the work for you. I found they made me feel ill if I took them on an…

I think we all end up with people like that on our friends lists. I'm not a doctor so I hated to try and give advice, and I felt hypocritical clicking "like" on posts that I just couldn't support in good conscience. If I can't give someone the support they need then I'm really not doing them any good, so I remove the…

I used the armband while doing Fitness Blender online videos or running. Each video gives a general calorie range you're likely to burn, and the Fit had me right in the middle of the range almost every single time. It seemed to agree with my Runkeeper account when I went running too. And I was losing pretty steadily, so I…

I got a Spam ad on your post OP. The meat kind, not the email kind.

Don't stop believin' OP.

I got the Body Media Fit and used it for about 6 months. It gave me lots of excellent information about my calorie burns and sleep patterns, but I got tired of paying the monthly fee. I eat and workout about the same as I did when I was wearing it so I know I'm on track.

I was interpreting the same as you. I know I love ice cream, and I know that I have to budget for the calories, so when I do indulge I don't "waste" calories. If it's a cheap ice pop or even a super premium in a flavor I don't like, I'll say no thanks and hold out for some Talenti Double Dark Chocolate baby! (Which has…

I'm more like a production artist by day, doing packaging for over the counter pharmaceuticals but mostly having to manipulate artwork created by others due to the nature of my job (creating product-specific packaging for large retail stores that already have big art houses doing the main design work so there's continuity…

A cleaned up version of a joke I heard on an NPR podcast this weekend: The serial killer and his clueless potential victim are taking a shortcut through the deep, dark woods. "I'm scared!" the victim says. "You're scared?" says the killer, "I've got to walk out of here by myself!"
-
My favorite version of that joke is told in an exaggerated Southern (US) accent and the punchline is "That dog'd bite you."

<-- dying Pity potty. OMG.

Saturday mornings, no one else is awake, there's nothing decent on TV so I turn on Food Network and there's that damn Pioneer Woman making food for cowboys and ranch hands. And I end up wanting the biggest, butteriest bacon egg and cheese sandwich on the planet. Man, I'll be glad when Finding Bigfoot comes back so I can…

Did someone call me? My knitter senses are tingling... :) Knitting is my meditation. Ravelry.com is the best thing to ever happen to the internet...all the knitting in the universe in one incredibly well-designed and user-friendly website!

Several years back, in place of "by the way" I once heard someone say "B T Dubs" and I thought it was cute. Now I just use it to embarrass/piss off my 16 year old daughter.

I can't have a phone conversation with my mother that lasts less than 45 minutes. As soon as I get on the phone with her I begin pacing the perimeter of my living room rug, stopping to switch directions every now and then. I once wore my Body Media Fit armband and burned a good 100, 150 or so calories. Getting out of…

All the things I love there...dark chocolate peanut butter cups, frozen Chinese pork buns, salt & vinegar potato chips, frozen French macarons...are probably to be used sparingly in a calorie restriction situation! My favorite low cal things they have are coffee and hair conditioner. Seriously, you can't go wrong with ANY…

I readily confess that I am a wimpy runner who stays indoors pretty much the entire winter. I workout using Fitness Blender videos in my living room, and I don't own a treadmill, so I basically stop running for 3-4 months of the year. Some would argue that makes me "not a real runner" but I don't care. I do love outdoor…

Wish I could run in the rain. It's the only reason I've considered going back to contact lenses.

Yeah, it's not like you gob it on. Just a tiny amount in your palms, rub together and smooth over your hair like any other shine or finish treatment. I use about twice as much when it's a deep treatment but even then it's only about the size of a lima bean and I wash it out after letting it sit. It's especially good for…

I'm with randomtai...it's a great deep treatment or finishing layer for your hair. Other than that it's just fat calories the same as any other oil.

What do you call a deer with no eyes? No idear. What do you get when you cross an elephant and a rhinocerous? 'Ell if I know. Why won't sharks eat clowns? Because they taste funny. (These jokes are required telling on the tour bus at the San Diego Zoo. Just ask my husband, a dad joke connoisseur if there ever was one.)

WOW! Great work and you look fantastic. I want those abs!!! :)

Hey there, just popping back in to report I did make it through the 53 minute butt and thigh workout. I woke up feeling slightly sore from the HIIT routine I did yesterday, and now I'm even MORE sore so I imagine tomorrow morning is going to be less than fun, lol. But I did manage to hang in for almost every rep in the…

If I have a fever or stomach "distress," you know, the SERIOUS kind not just feeling gross, I don't work out. If I have a cold that hasn't settled into a deep cough, or allergies, or basic logy-ness I work out. It usually helps burn off a cold quicker, in my opinion.

I've already done my workout for today, but I'd like to post and hold myself accountable for tomorrow. I work out at home with Fitness Blender videos, and my normal workouts range between 20 and 40 minutes in length (5-6 times per week). I have a video queued up for tomorrow, though, that is a 53 minute butt and thigh HIIT…
