Most wavies only skip 1 day between washes at most. At least that's what I've heard. When my hair was less curly (it has gotten curlier with each kid too), I washed every other day. When your hair is straighter, it lies flat on your head. Sweat and oil gets trapped close to the scalp and need to be washed more. On the…

I supinate, gave me a wicked case of chronic peroneal tendonitis. I'm not a runner, I just got it from walking. That is bad. It's genetic, both my mom and my dad had the same issue. I did physical therapy and I didn't find it helpful, they were focused on relieving my pain - which wasn't the problem, I wanted to fix the…

I'm a 3a/2c. My hair is chin-length and doesn't go into a full ponytail. I wear it loose or in a headband at the gym, unless it is wash day then I'll do a half pony. I shower after every workout but I wash my hair twice a week, I just use either a shower cap or just wing it and let it get damp. I wash and condition almost…

I did week 6 day two of Jeff Nippards Fundamentals of Hypertrophy program, it's upper day. 70 minutes of strength training.

I don't log black coffee. I do log the half and half I put in it.

I've just been looking at meal delivery things in my area, it just gives me ideas like "I could just meal-prep that myself"... I think I may try meal prepping myself next week.

I try very hard not to miss the gym. Missing the gym effects my schedule as well as my mood. I do much better when I stick to the schedule, things are less chaotic even though I'm doing more. I'm like a toddler, I do better when I have a routine and stick to it. Getting out of that routine makes my whole life feel chaotic.…

Google local meal prep services, I know there are several in my area that provide healthy meals, with precalculated macros. They are not cheap, but if it's what you need. There are also national services as well, but I haven't looked into those.

I don't know. I lost the majority of my weight while breastfeeding a hungry baby (between 6 months and a year). I'm still nursing him, he turns 3 this week and I'm weaning him after his birthday. It was super easy to lose weight, I averaged 1-1.5lbs a week at some points without any issue. I'll let you know how the weaning…

I can't read the article, it's behind a paywall. I replied because I work from home, it works well for me and my industry. I think it's highly dependent on the industry. I think it could be sustainable for a good portion of the office-based workforce if they want to make it happen. We provide cloud-based accounting support…

$10 wireless over ear headphones from the dollar spot at Target. Because they are my third pair since the kids broke my first two. Not fancy but they do the job and I don't mind tossing them in my gym bag. For work I use wired earbuds. I can't manage wired at the gym, it drives me crazy. I can't stand wireless for work…

Logging my food, eating my exercise calories (fitbit calculated, not entered from database), using a weight trending app so I'm not frustrated by slow loss.

There is no secret to gaining muscle as a petite person. In fact, some would argue you have an advantage for certain movements because of the way your limbs work on lever action and it's just a shorter distance. You also have less ROM for big lifts. Your progress will show faster because the muscle has less room to expand…

You are a mature adult, you aren't going to look pre-pubescent. You gained 10lbs before puberty BECAUSE YOU WERE GROWING.

I'm 5', I weight 123lbs. That is only two inches taller than you but 30lbs more. When you raise your arms like that, your tricep is lax. Your tricep, while lax, looks like hanging fat - it is not, it's loose (not flexed) muscle. When you are sitting like that, your hamstrings are not flexed and the back of your legs has a…

I haven't used that, but I've been quite impressed with other Nikwax products.

I'd been maintaining for over a year. I got the Covid-10. I stopped the gain but I am really having a hard time working it back off. It sure goes on faster than it comes off.

I don't change anything really. I still workout, I still log food. I may or may not stay under my goal, but I'm going for a very slow, long-game loss right now. And I track my weight on a weight-trending app, so I don't get upset with the expected water weight. It's fun to see the whoosh when it leaves too, usually day 4…

Our gyms reopened May 4th, I went maybe 3 times in May and June, really restarted July 1st. I won't lie, the DOMS hits hard. I started back at lower weights than I expected, but I am going up way quicker than I expected too after the first couple of weeks, it is like the muscles just need to be restarted, they didn't…

I seem to have found good maintenance calories. I mean, I was trying to lose, so I need to adjust, but I've never seen my libra trend at such a steady spot. I weight change was 0.0 pounds (0.1% change) in July. That is nice, I now know what I've been eating and exercise level are a good maintenance level.

Leisurely would be like walking around the mall chatting with friends or a romantic stroll on the beach. Moderately would be walking somewhere with a purpose, not doing anything else (like talking), but not in a hurry. A dedicated walk going somewhere. Walking the dog maybe? Most walks fall under this category for me, if…

Does it remove the smell or put another smell over it? I've looked into those, they just claim to boost scent, not eliminate odors. I don't like smelly laundry, but I am interested in something that is an "every wash" kind of thing. So far the vinegar thing works (and wash after, for the vinegar smell!), but it takes doing…

A lot of people find over time your fat seems to redistribute on your thinner frame. When I first lost weight my face looked kind of gaunt, but after maintaining for a while it looks better and better.

Your clothes aren't getting clean. Particularly if you have synthetic "athletic" fabric clothes, bacteria is staying in your clothes and when you get it wet by sweating again it amplifies the smell. It can happen to cotton too though. It builds up. When I start to notice a particularly rank smell from my clothes (a good…

I'm in Arkansas. Our gyms opened May 4th. I went once in May and a couple of times in June. My gym was just crowded though, there were a lot of people in June, and they also didn't have childcare anymore. In July I changed gyms to a smaller gym (well, physically it's actually larger). Many fewer people. 10 people is a…

There was NIH funded "gain-of-function" research on bat coronavirus as the Wuhan lab. I would not reject the idea that pangolin and bat coronaviruses may have been mixed, but I would suspect knowing the research was going on that it was not by nature. I haven't seen any proof (not that it would be released), but it is a…

It doesn't sound right to me either. Anybody needs around 1100-1200 calories just to sit there and lead a sedentary life. If you are only eating 1300, plus doing HOURS of exercise, you will be losing weight (not maintaining). I think this is an honest conversation you need to have with your doctor. Your feelings about your…

I thought about cycling on a stationary bike as well, you could safely listen to music or a podcast or meditation, watch TV - or you could read while you ride. It's much more comfortable. Do you have somewhere you can walk? Does your vertigo make regular walking difficult? My dad walks for exercise. He walks outside, but…

It's genetic, my aunt had 6 impacted teeth. We were low income growing up, and there wasn't any state or federal children's insurance. We didn't get very many dental checkups. My impacted tooth wasn't noticed until my grandparents funded braces for us in high school, by then the root was gone. I guess my face may just be…

I had an impacted canine as well! It destroyed the root of the lateral incisor next to it, and so I had to have all my teeth shifted to hide it (or opt for an implant). Now long after my braces, my teeth have gravitated toward that gap. I need braces again. In hindsight, an implant may or may not have been a better option.
