  • So I'll add my last workout, which was Sunday the 17th. I did: Squat 5x5 @ 80lbs OHP 5x5 @ 50lbs DL 2x5 @ 115lb Between sets, I jumped rope for cardio, not between all sets, just some. I work out again today, but I work out late at night so I'll update tomorrow.
  • Cool! I will look for that workout report thread. I decided to go with 50% of my 5 rep max for starting instead of just with the bar for squats, which moved me up to 80. Everything else (except DL) 50% of my 5 rep max is less than the empty bar  225 DL is my goal! I really want to DL 225 so bad, but I had so much…
  • I changed it from "active" to "very active" and it gave me 1880. It works for me, I get a small negative adjustment on non-workout days, and for most of the day on workout days. I do IF and I stop eating before I exercise for the day, so that part kind of sucks. Yesterday I ate...1715 calories, which was under the 1880. I…
  • Also focus on drinking plenty of water/hydrating beverages, that will have a big impact on your supply. I don't know if otherwise, I'll be much help, I've struggled with oversupply.
  • I'm drinking a small 5 oz white zin right now! I had calories left for dinner so I'm having it. It depends on your definition of low calorie, this is 108 calories (according to many database entries, apparently alcohol doesn't have to have nutrition facts on it), that is less than a can of sugared soda, or a cup of milk…
  • Laughing gas can be used for cleanings if you want to pay for it. I had very bad dental anxiety and for years I had to have the gas for cleaning or I couldn't get my teeth cleaned. My experience with wisdom teeth removal probably isn't relative either. I was 15 and a normal weight. The oral surgeon said I would have it far…
  • Closed out the app. Forced stopped it. Changed to 1lb/week - does not show current level - Changed it back to 0.5lb/week - still says 1630. I think my problem is my activity level. I think I figured it out. I'd say I'm "active" or "moderately active" - I work out 3x a week, otherwise, I have a desk job - at home though so…
  • The best thing you can do is exercise regularly, you will get significantly less muscle soreness. When you take a break over 2 weeks or so, you start to get soreness again.
  • In one week, you have lost water mainly that is why your stomach seems smaller. Patience.
  • I have tried IF in the past and didn't like it. I am trying it again and it is working beautifully. I saw something in a previous post that might be the difference why - with the lockdown, I started focusing on sleep, I am getting more and better sleep now than I have in years. I wonder if getting sleep helps with my…
  • I went to the grocery store today, a shockingly small number of people were masked. In the past few weeks, it was like 80% of the people I saw, it's like 40% at best now. I don't want people to mess this up. On the other hand, there are less than 5 active cases of CV in the county I shopped in, the likelihood that I'd run…
  • My app is hopeless, it still has my old calorie goal on it. I don't mess with the app but to log by bar code. I'll sign off of it though and force stop it. My app hasn't been correct on my goal since I changed it last, it is often incorrect. I got it to work though by changing it to very active, instead of active. It's…
  • I don't really know how to set it to make it give me a 250 calorie deficit. If MFP thinks I'm going to burn 2100 calories, I want it to say I can eat 1850 and still be under goal. But I don't want to set my goal that high, because on days that I don't work out I might only burn 1850 and then I'd need to eat 1600 to stay…
  • So my problem is MFP is calculating my goal incorrectly. My activity level is apparently quite close to my MFP actual level, so that is correct. I don't want a 500 calorie deficit, I want 250.
  • No, I put in 0.5lb a week and MFP calculated 1630. My setting is what I think it is, because I went back and re-did the entire walkthrough this morning - I suspected I might have put it in wrong, so I redid it - it is set correctly. I should have a 250 deficit. So it's MFP's problem then? It doesn't add up.
  • breastfeeding twins probably burns a ton of calories!
  • Our church is also opening tentatively June 7th. Details are yet to come. Also the 24th of May and 31st of May they will hold outdoor services (that you have to sign up ahead of time). They are proposing 5-6 services instead of the usual 1 service. People would need to sign up for which service they want to attend online,…
  • Generally speaking, if you haven't worked out before or in a long time, your first bout of DOMS can very well last 5 days. I find that my hamstrings are specifically susceptible to long-lasting DOMS, as well as my quads - but the hammies are the worst. If it feels okay, you can stretch with DOMS. I doubt you will stretch…
  • Add Greek Yogurt (unsweetened/plain) to your smoothie (the fruit will provide the sweetness). Protein and creaminess. I put honey in mine, it doesn't kill my calories/macros. You might use stevia/spenda/whathaveyou if you want it sweeter.
  • In February of 2018 after my 3rd child was born (in August of 2017) I saw a picture of myself in a bikini top from the back. I had been pregnant a lot in the last 5 years and hadn't really thought about it. Now after my last child was born, I actually saw my body for what was really happening. I was kind of shocked, I…
  • This is why it's a good idea to wash your hands thoroughly after using a public toilet and not touch your face. Norovirus is also aerosolized with a toilet flush. Pretty sure the last big stomach bug I got - came from a public toilet. I had to take the potty training kids in over and over again and later that week - BAM…
  • I second that. No reason to delete the post. Next month a breastfeeding woman may come and search and be helped by your post and the responses. That is how forums work :) I have been helped by many forums. Not this one, but one may have saved me a great deal of illness and physical harm - a woman posted her battle with…
  • You didn't gain all your weight in one day, you won't lose it all in one day - and one day will not your diet ruin. It takes 3,500 calories to gain ONE pound. You might eat 3,500 calories in one day, but your body uses at least half of them - so that won't even make you gain a single pound. FWIW, I took a day off logging…
  • Okay I've lost all my weight while breastfeeding, so I'll let you know what I did. Breastfeeding burns between 500-850 calories when you are EBF a newborn. When you're child is on solids, it's more like 300-500 if they are still having a lot of milk, and 250 or less if they are nursing less. I started losing weight when…
  • I am doing IF simply because I found it hard to stick to my calorie goals eating 3 meals a day + snacks. I would eat and then be hungry again. I have no problems getting up and not eating for a while, I'm not even starving when it's time to eat. I do drink coffee in the meantime, so you could say I'm not really fasting I'm…
  • I'm in the US, Arkansas. I have some home gym equipment - which I didn't use. I feel bad but I could not get outside (it's outside) and do it. Our gyms opened back up with strict limits on the 4th. I've been back once. I still find it hard to go for lack of childcare. So I'm working out on my home gym. Why I felt a block…
  • I lose 1/2 a size, some of my shoes still fit and some don't. I buy a size smaller now. I'm back to my pre-pregnancy size, my feet went up a half size with my first pregnancy and didn't go back down until I lost weight. I resized my wedding ring after my first was born because my hands got bigger and did not get smaller…
  • I'm not an adolescent, and I have acne. I consume dairy, but not an abundance of dairy. I don't drink milk, I do eat cheese and yogurt. I have never been able to shake this adult acne, it sucks. I'm currently using Differin on my face, in the hope of for once in my adult life not have acne. It got worse when I first…
  • I've bought things I wouldn't normally, but nothing too far outside of ordinary. My life hasn't changed as much as others. I already WFH, already homeschool. We just have LESS time because no childcare/children's activities (we used to have our kids out of the house at least 2 days a week), and more dishes and laundry…
  • RE: Churches. A lot of people are upset that in guidance, it is "churches" or "churches and synagogues" - the word "mosque" is never used. They should either say "religious gatherings" or name them all. It gives the impression that some religions are allowed to continue their services and others are not. I don't think that…
