Congratulations on reaching that goal!

I just braid my hair wear a sweaty band. The braid doesn't bother me.

I have two rescues. One is a sheltie mix. The other we aren't sure about - maybe sheltie doxie mix.

My two, Jasper and Lily, with a foster (the smaller one is the foster). Jasper and Lily are both rescues. Lily, the one in the back, is a foster failure. I just couldn't give her up.

You look amazing - congratulations on your success! I will definitely check out your blog. Good luck with the surgery.

I agree with this. I've bought things that were too small and then I either never lost enough weight to wear them or when I did finally lose enough weight, they didn't look good on me or I no longer cared for the style. So if you love the dress, I vote for buying the 8 and having it tailored to fit you right now.

Amazing job! That's quite a transformation in only 6 months. Thanks for sharing!

First, go get fitted for running shoes at a running store. The shoes are more expensive there than buying them at a sporting goods store but it's worth the extra money. I can't stress enough how important the right shoe is. Second, you need to rest to let the pain go away. Third, get a training program. I think you are…

I second making sure you are in proper shoes. Go to a running store and spend the money on a good pair. It's worth it. A tight IT band can cause knee pain. Get a foam roller and google using a foam roller to release your IT band. Finally - take it slow. You could be trying to run too fast. It takes time to build up…

I have a regular 30 minute route that I do with my dogs and I don't log that one - I just consider it normal activity. When I do a longer walk, I do log it. I also run with my dogs and I log the runs. Edited to add that your dogs are beautiful!

Thank you for this post and congrats to you and your wife. I love that you have such a healthy attitude and have truly made a life style change instead of going on a diet. Reading this is very helpful so thanks again!

Great advice. Your dog definitely needs to know that you are the leader. When you walk with your dog, make sure he is walking right next to you - not pulling or stopping constantly to pee or sniff. I run with two and they wear pinch collars - otherwise they would try to pull. I have a running belt and I attach their leash…

I got Christmas toilet paper once.

For many years we got a bonus. It was usually a second paycheck. Then one year they decided to do something different - they sent us out to lunch and then had a limo pick us up to take us to the mall shopping with a gift card to the mall. Then the bosses and our spouses met us later that evening at a restaurant for dinner.…

I lift 3 times a week and do cardio the rest of the days. I run races (2 half marathons this year plus other shorter races) so I run a lot. I also like kickboxing, biking or spinning and swimming. I usually take 2-3 days off a month but even on my days off, my dogs need to be walked so I still get exercise on my rest days.

Pulp Fiction. Loved it.

I'm in the Chicago area as well. I ran yesterday and the cold didn't bother me at all. I'm more concerned about ice than I am the cold. I fell on the ice many years ago and broke my ankle. I don't need to do it again so I head to the gym when it's icy outside. I haven't gone out when it's been below zero either. So I guess…

Luckily you are young - that certainly helps. I agree with the others that said drink lots of water, lose weight slowly and strength train.

You look amazing! Good luck with your surgeries. I'd love to see your updates.

Awesome job! Thanks for sharing.

Absolutely. I know it is a lot of money but it's definitely worth it. Get fitted at a running store. Buy good socks too.

Yes. Love them on salads. There is a restaurant by me that has a salad with pear slices, beets, goat cheese, almonds and a balsamic vinaigrette dressing that is so delicious. My husband has always hated beets but I made him try the salad and even the beet hater loved it.

I bring these turkey wraps to parties and they are always a hit. I double the recipe and then cut each one up in to 5 or 6 pieces just before serving. They are good with ham too. Turkey Wraps with Chipotle Chile Mayo Ingredients ½ cup mayonnaise 1 Tablespoon chopped cilantro 2 green onions, minced 1 teaspoon fresh lime…
