I have the same issue. My doc gave me a steroid injection and it helped. It still shifts but it's not as painful as it was before the injection. Also, I still do the home exercises that the physical therapist gave me and I believe that has helped as well.

I'm impressed! Thank you for sharing.

I have a WW Conair scale and I'm happy with it although I think it weighs a bit heavy. I always weigh less at my doctors' offices and that's with clothes on and having had something to eat and/or drink. My old scale I could step on it three times and it would give me three different weights. This one would give me the same…

Also sounds like a caffeine headache to me. I quit drinking soda in July. I don't drink coffee so I still needed caffeine because of the headaches. I started drinking a single packet of crystal light with caffeine a day and that helped with the headaches. I've now gotten myself off of that (because I also wanted to give up…

I live near trails that run along a river. It's about a mile for me to run there and then I have a multiple choices on which way to go. If it's dark out or the trails are iced over, I stick to running through my neighborhood.

At 13 he should have no problem getting to a 2 mile run in 3 weeks. If he runs at a pace where he can maintain a conversation, he can probably do 2 miles without stopping now. Kids have way more endurance than adults.

Get dressed for running and go for a walk. Just getting out there may give you the confidence to run on your own. If not, at least you got a walk in.

You look amazing! Thanks for the inspiration.

My gym has 1.25 lb plates but I haven't used them yet. If I fail I fail. I deload and work my way back up again. Thanks to some injuries I am nowhere near my PRs from last summer. As I work my way back up, I will use the 1.25s this time. Thanks for posting - I completely forgot that my gym has the smaller plates!

I'm not an over pronator but the neutral shoe I wear is the Nike Vomero. It's an expensive shoe but worth the money. I've occasionally found a pair online for cheaper but generally have to buy it at a running store.

Congratulations - you look amazing! Although I do want to mention at you were beautiful in your before picture too. Thanks for the inspiration!

That's awesome! I can definitely see the difference.

Yes you did - impressive abs!

Congratulations on your success. You look beautiful and happy! Good luck with the half.

That's so awesome! Congratulations.

I had a personal trainer go through the lifts I was unsure of with me before I started. Also, you can watch videos online on how to do each lift. Just google stronglifts and squats, etc.

You look amazing! Congratulations!

My two dogs plus my foster (the white one is the foster). All three are great running buddies and have logged too many miles with me to count. [/url]

I've found that riding a bike or taking a spin class really helps with the soreness. You don't even have to go all out - a leisurely ride does the trick.

I have a bum knee so I'm in the same boat. I love kickboxing. I just keep it low impact and my knee does fine. I still get a good calorie burn (50-75 calories less than when I do the class high impact). Like the other poster said, swimming. When you bike or spin, sit more and up the resistance.

What would those people look like if they didn't go to the gym? You would probably say the same thing about me. I'm in good cardio shape and I'm a weight lifter but unfortunately I eat too much. If I didn't go to the gym, I would look a hell of a lot worse. In the end, I'm there for me and not for the people who think they…

I wasn't running at the time but I was in another sport and my doc said 6 weeks off for vigorous workouts. I wasn't working out after but I was too active and had a hard time with my incisions healing. Take the advice and lay off until your doc gives you the ok.
-
Congratulations! You look fantastic.

I stick my phone in my sports bra. It sits where the strap meets the bra part. It probably sounds uncomfortable but it isn't. I use my phone for music and to track my stronglifts workout so I'm constantly using it. It's easy access there.

You have lots of good advice about seeing a doc, etc. I found this conservative couch to 5k program that may be good for you because of your asthma. http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/cms/article-detail.asp?articleid=27

I agree that you should check out different gyms and see about getting free passes to see if you like and will actually use it. A lot of gyms will give you a personal training session with your sign up and that would be a good thing to use. The trainer could give you an overview of all of the equipment there. Over the…

Mine was taken in October

Follow Hal Higdon. Because you don't want to run 4 times a week, walk one of the shorter runs. The important thing is to log the miles, especially the long runs.

A 45 lb OHP is a lot, especially if you weren't lifting before starting Strong Lifts. Switch to dumbbells until you are up to 45 lbs. I've been lifting for years and started Strong Lifts last summer after recovering from a shoulder injury. I started my OHP at 20 pounds and didn't even touch the olympic bar until I was on…

I buy the Ghiradelli dark chocolate squares. Low cal and tasty!
