Thanks, you've been helpful. I've had a cup of tea.... I'll be fine once I start to eat, I'm on diary.

A two pound bag of apples had me going.....

Try to remember all of those really good reasons you want to recover.

Muscle weighs more than fat only if feathers weigh less than lead.

Hello, I'm Justin, 41. I spend a long time getting fat, and then a few years getting thin sensibly, and then things went weird at the beginning of this year. I acknowledged by body-dismorphia and over-restriction in April, and eased my self back to normal eating by my birthday at the end of June. Then my partner of 19…

No, I was referring to CillaNoir's food diary. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/food/diary/CillaNoir?date=2011-06-16

That's a scary looking diet, and paced badly. But I'm no nutritionist.

I kept my type II under control by losing a lot of weight, and eating sufficiently little to continue losing a little. I'm now switching to maintenance, so I'll need to keep an eye on what that does to my control.

Do you see any other creature on the planet deliberately staving themselves for aesthetic reasons? Do you see them wasting time and energy on pointless repetitive activity to build pointless bulky muscle?

If you want it to count calories you have to enter you age, height sex and weight - which is time consuming on a watch. Not really practical to share that functionality - and you wouldn't be able to exercise together.
-
I'd recommend against it - when I have catch-up sleep, and so don't get up till mid day and wake up hungry, I just can't stop eating. I guess going to bed hungry would have similar results - butI usually have the opposite problem - it's 2am, I've just eaten 700 calories, and I've still got 400 to go.... Last night, I…

doing it in the sauna at the gym....

It really does depend on what you're doing - strength moves/spinning pole burn very little, whereas an energetic dance routine can burn quite a bit - I log mine, but it's measured by my BodyBugg Typically an 45 minutes on the pole elevates my metabolism for 70 minutes, resulting in an EXTRA burn of 225 calories

As you approach your healthy weight you should taper your weight loss anyway - there are various recommendations in the forums - but dropping to 1 lb per week now is perhaps a little overdue. You should be looking to drop to 1/2 lb per week for the last 15 - 20 lb. Slowing down is incredibly frustrating though. If you do…

my "mother's apron" is, I think, catching up with my weight loss - but Im also looking for help to get rid of it - but there's no muscles in there, so I don't think exercise is going to help much

a small piece of high quality dark chocolate satisfies my chocolate cravings without having as much fat and sugar as the much bigger amount of low quality chocolate needed for the same effect

Congratulations on over a year of not smoking
-
Try to please your sweet tooth with berries - I just munched through half a pound of strawberries :D I have a filled chocolate every day, and a hot chocolate drink every day - but I do that as part of a balanced diet

you can start capturing data immediately. I just wish they got my display working. it's been 10 weeks

Technically we're talking about predicting body fat measurements, not actually measuring them. to measure them you're talking MRI scanning with human verification of classification - but that's horribly expensive and time consuming, or dissection - but that's a bit of a one time thing
-
Complete waste of money I'm afraid - it basically uses your BMI and hydration level. We monitored 8 people with one of these, and everyone's fat/non fat changed in exactly the same proportion as their weight changed. There needs to be 2 pads per hand/foot for them to be any good. a "tetrapole" BFA (hands and feet, two pads…

how long have you been doing this
-
I strongly suggest you slow that rate of weight loss. There's no point acquiring another set of health problems while making your your Type II more managable
-
I don't eat it. If I'm being polite I'll chew it a bit, but cough it into my napkin. I don't recommend this though, I'd suggest guestimating as best you can. (I have one chocolate a day, I have no information about it at all, so I guess as being a rum truffle, pure chocolate, a praline, or a filled chocolate - depending…

Absolutely a success on losing the weight I needed to, unfortunately not entirely a success on doing it safely. I'm now a strong believer in "starvation mode", "eat more to lose more" and "eat back your exercise calories" because I personally know what can happen when you don't, and some of the things that can go wrong if…

Seriously, 1500 for men. MFP is doesn't apply the gender difference. My bilaterial inguinal hernias say listening to your body might not work, as you might not get the warning 'til too late.
-
the salt guidelines in the UK are "based on a 2000 calorie diet", so as you eat more you get a higher salt allowance. MFP doesn't do this though, so work out your average consumption and set your sodium for that

Depends how you define "function" in "needs to function"
